math, as someone with very strong political views on other threads, your opinion is hardy unbiased, sorry to point it out. Thankfully a huge number of voters did appreciate it, even the jokey Graham of all people said it was good to see a serious sincere song grab the audience, he said there was an emotional moment in the hall which may or may not come across on TV. Well, I felt it on TV.

noOne, uncanny but I would put the same four in that order too! though no Australia in there for me. I voted for Ukraine and for Spain, Georgia was good but that Noel copycat such a laugh! Quite liked the catchy Russian song, but it did lack originality musically, and the signer was a bit weak even though a nice guy.

It is possible to have strong political views and to also have musical taste.

I wouldn't have given 12 points to the Russian entry this year. But I simply didn't like the Ukrainian entry. I really liked Iceland this year. I actually don't know how a good many of this year's finalists got that far.
