Not sure how I feel about the wedding photos? It all looks so clean and reality/soap style and not OG. I am sure I will be totally suprised and pleased and like you have all said, how we all reacted to funeral scenes!!!

Does anyone on here have experience of Duke of Edinburgh awards. I've been asked to assess a 15 year old's gardening abilities and wondering if anyone has been involved in stuff like this previously.

My DS has done bronze and silver DoE. He did his voluntary work at a animal rescue centre. I'm not sure what they assesses him on, he was there for the whole period and worked hard, so I guess that was enough to get signed off?

I suppose I am quite flattered to have been asked. I have taught a 4 and 7 year old about gardening so a 15 year old who actually wants to do this should be a piece of cake. Yes, please ask for me.

I've been MIA as had a shocking headache all weekend so couldn't be bothered with myself. Feeling better now but am having a busy week as I'm at my Uncle's memorial service Saturday which is the same day as DD's birthday so am sorting her birthday presents out this week plus getting my stuff sorted for going away.

Took DD bowling and Pizza Hut for tea on Saturday before I felt rough so at least we've done something together for her special day.

Read the Eurovision commentary and it was soo funny. I didnt watch any of it apart from the bit Justin Timberlake was on. Love a bit of JT. How many points did the UK get?

rich DHs party sounded good. Teenagers being sick outside is something I'll probably have to get used to if my three fancy a tipple when they're older.

ilove my twins have just done their bronze DofE. Once they had completed a section the person that was leading them through it had to write a small report in their books saying what they did and how well they did it. They also had an attendance card that they had to have signed each week to prove they had done the required amount of time.

That doesn't sound too onerous and it's something different for me as well. Does he have to come up with the ideas or me?

We've got redundancies in the offing again. There comes a time when you just can't worry about it any more. Not as many as before thankfully but that's not a comfort if you are one of the ones to go. Fingers crossed!

Morning all! Another busy couple of weeks. I was away last weekend which was lovely but has set me back on the domestic front. We also have a total nightmare going on at work.

Heligirl - there are quite a few mums of twins on here (me, Kelly, Rhu, sorry if there are more I've forgotten), we must be particularly drawn to escapist dramas

Rich - are you patient with the vomit situations, I'm not sure I would be. I haven't had to deal with that yet, touch wood. (Eldest two are 19 and 16 so I've got off lightly so far, I know).

Ilove - hope the bathroom works finish smoothly, it's not the most convenient room to be without!

alwaysfrank I am sort of patient with the Drink/sick situation, as I can remember very well what I was like!! The problem with DS is he can't make the bathroom or bucket!. I am sure he will learn!

Took a twin to a hospital appointment while the other two are in school. Its quite nice just having one child out and about with you. So much easier.

Morning! Currently knee deep in middle DSs GCSE revision yes the Koppaberg King so very fraught at Woof Manor at the mo.

Anyone of a certain age, can I thoroughly recommend Menopause the Musical, it's brilliant and very funny. So many times they say/sing something and you think "OMG I do that". Cheryl Fergison (Hevva from Eastenders) and Rebecca Wheatley from Casualty are excellent, as are the whole cast. We laughed all the way through

Talking of laughing, I spotted yesterday that they're resurrecting Carry On films starting with Carry On Doctors. Unfortunately the two remaining survivors, Jim Dale and Barbara Windsor, will not feature in the new production, which I think is quite sad. Surely it wouldn't hurt yo give them a cameo role/feature? You can't beat a bit of Sid James, Kenneth Williams and Charles Hawtrey imo so I hope they cast the correct type of actor

Have seen that show Woof. Cried with laughter. I saw when I was right in the middle of the hot flushes/icy shivers/"Don't look at me because I WILL bite your head off." stage.

Did any of you see Smurf/Ramsey Bolton's method for peeling an apple this week on GOT? Nice to see he had a wee break to carry out some business in the middle of peeling it. God, he is SO good in that show. Best badass I have seen for a long time.

Ooh ditto kuia Ramsay is pure EVIL, I hope Jon Snow or Sansa absolutely take him down, or maybe Reek will wreak a very slow agonising end for him, just not until the next series if you don't mind as I love trying to guess what despicable act he will carry out next.

Also a welcome return for the eye candy that is Dutch bloke out of Nashville I can't remember the name of who's Danearys bodyguard. Fully clothed unfortunately, but we live in hope for next week

Woof I love the soft Welsh accent and the gentle smile as he does the next heinous thing. Is not Jon Snow tasty, tho'? And yes, your Dutchman is back...very good taste you have, I must say!
