Neighbours Thread - Is Lassiter's the most dangerous hotel in the world?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 03/04/2016 19:52

Starting a new thread ready for the dramas of next week.

Can't believe I'll be on holiday when the all the excitement is going on. That was seriously bad planning.

If Paul dies then I'm not coming home.

My wish list for death: Amy, her son, her mum, Sonya, Ben & Steph.

Bit mean that nobody thought to tell Piper her brother was dying.

Oh my god. Am completely bawling. How embarrassing. That was devastating.

I felt it was Josh, and EXCUSE ME, I though Karl would be seeing Sarah in the hotel room and it IS HER!!! I think Kyle and maybe Toadie will die too.

Hope the production team is proud of themselves. Amazing episode.

I think they couldn't get hold of Piper cos she went to the hospital to see Daniel.

Awesome ep. Had me blubbing like a baby. Don't usually like the Willises but that was a great death scene. Rest of the week looks good too. Can someone remind me who Sarah is?

Not that Sarah?! The receptionist who Karl had an affair (I was young so I don't know if it was a full blown affair or a dalliance) with all those years ago?Shock

Can't sleep now, too emotional. Why couldn't they take Daniel rather than lovely Josh?!
If anything happens to Toadie, I'll riot... On my own... It'll be a rubbish riot.

MagpieCursedTea · 04/04/2016 23:34

And yes, that Sarah!! Poor Susan!

Rummikub · 04/04/2016 23:35

Oh my word, I've just cried so much!

Report
KittyMcAllister · 04/04/2016 23:44

Ah thank you I remember Sarah now! Didn't realise it was a full blown affair though?
Magpie I will join your riot if they dare get rid of Toadie!

Reckon it's Brodie or Tom Quinn for the culprit.

I think it was a crush on Sarah's part and Karl did kiss her but in a comforting sort of way but felt awful about it. I was about 12 or something at the time though so in my mind it was an affair

I think Susan did kick him out over it though.

AGnu · 05/04/2016 00:13

I'm sure there was more than just the one kiss with Sarah - I swear I remember them in a cupboard together at one point. I must've been about 12 at the time too so might have confused it with one of his other affairs!

My prediction is that H&A-Spencer super excited to see him again is going to turn out to be Karl/Sarah's offspring & the bloke we caught a brief glimpse of at the end being asked how he knew Doug will be Ned. There will be an episode dedicated to reuniting fathers & sons, which will also feature Paul & Julie's teenager.

I laughed through most of the new half - DH was watching it with me so I had to distract myself from crying. Will watch it again tomorrow while he's at work & sob. Couldn't help laughing when Josh died & Matilda went from perfectly happy to crying instantly... because the baby who wasn't even paying attention to the screen would obviously have known what was going on. Also, how quickly he died after saying his last line seemed a little unrealistic - surely with that kind of injury he'd have been unconscious for a while!

Looking forward to the rest of the week. I don't want Kyle to go - mostly because I've always liked him but also because I'm not looking forward to Amy whining about him. Having Spencer appear is already reserved top spot as my highlight of the week! Grin

From Wikipedia: "In 2005, Fletcher revealed that Karl and Sarah did have sex. He told The Sun's Beci Wood "At the time the producers hadn't actually decided if they did or not to allow people to make up their own mind and use their imagination." Fletcher noted that this meant Karl had lied to Susan when he tried to reassure her about the kiss."

According to the Wiki timeline, their affair was conducted primarily in 1998 & she got married & left in July 1999 after snogging Karl at her wedding. Would make it unlikely she was 7+m pregnant when she got married but then, well, Paige... Neighbours clearly isn't above fudging timelines a little! Would put their child at about 17. Spencer's a bit mature to be playing a 17yo. Hmm... so long as he sticks around I don't care who he turns out to be! Wink

AGnu · 05/04/2016 00:35

There's a 17yo actor who's joining the cast & all that's said about him on Wiki is that his name is Angus & he's the rebellious son of a controversial character.

I'll shut up & go to bed now. Blush

I can't watch it until tomorrow but I still came on to see who had carked it. Knew it would be Josh! Harley Bonner should learn to be careful about what he tweets I actually liked Josh. I really wanted him to get a happy ever after with Amber. God, I'm a saddo! Grin

If Toadie dies, I will be pretty impressed. That would be a huge thing for a tv show to keep quiet. That said, if he has, I'd be cranky if I was Toadie. "I've been here 20 years, Goddamit! Give me my own whole week of death. I'm not sharing!"

OMG just sobbed through that. DH was pissing himself at me.

Knew it'd be Josh, reckon Kyle and Toadie will be the others.

I watched with DH and we didn't think the set was realistic at all.

Report
CandOdad · 05/04/2016 08:47

Yet again Doc K is the only medic capable of handling this (despite him being a GP and not and emergency doctor) would people really be running to and fro from the rubble with only orange jump suits in hard hats? A little bit more realism from the show is all I ask (despite it being great)

Report
Chchchchange · 05/04/2016 08:48

Yeah there was no fire, very little smoke and no one was concerned about the roof falling in. Tut.

Did Sarah have Karl's baby then? I don't remember that bit.

I don't get why Karl would want to see her. He's rebuilt his trust with Susan after 2 splits with her. They're happy. I can't cope with Susan being upset. Shock

This is brilliant Grin

MagpieCursedTea · 05/04/2016 09:14

Dr Karl is the greatest medic on the planet. There was no point in any other doctors being around as they could never match the skill of Dr Karl. Hence why he is the only doctor on the scene. It's the only rational explanation.
He's also an idiot, that's why he went to see Sarah.

He could have gone to see Sarah to tell her she's happy with Susan and to back offHmm.
Presumably Kyle goes off to Germany if he's leaving.

Agree about Karl. If Karl can't do it, it can't be done.
Does he do surgery as well?

I think Doug will die; the third one I'm worried about - seriously panicked it could be Toad. Kyle just leaves with Georgia, I think, and doesn't die.

The mysterious stranger who saved Paige is Sarah Beaumont's son, Angus, whom she has brought to meet his father Karl.

Therese is probably going to be griefstruck doubly because she has lost her only son, but Brad's other son Ned has just turned up.
