"Might be a very large toad in the hole"

Trills · 25/08/2016 20:52

A practising medium.

Yes you ARE having a conversation with yourself in your head.

Trills · 25/08/2016 20:56

This is more fun when everyone else is watching at the same time.

Only1scoop · 25/08/2016 23:48

Trills Grin

Maria was lovely, the pilot bloke came across boring but he seemed nice and harmless which I think is what she needs now, someone 'safe' whilst she gets used to dating again.

Terry needs some dating tips, coz instead flirting with her he kept putting her down. Although tbf they were both mismatched; he wanted to talk about London history and she wanted to talk about Towie.

The electrician bloke kept going on about her boobs too much, and wasn't right for her.

Now sure about the medium and the designer, but they seemed happy enough.

I wonder how Abby and the guy she met last week are getting on.

SheHasAWildHeart · 26/08/2016 17:18

There was something off about that pilot and I couldn't figure out what. And then I realised what it was...

You know when Ant & Dec wear all that prosthetic make up and then play pranks on people by doing idiotic things? Well the pilot looked like he was wearing some kind of make up and was purposely saying odd things to see how far he could go (getting lobster juice over himself and asking to be 'rubbed' down) and I felt any moment he'd take his mask off and it'd be Dec.

MargotLovedTom · 27/08/2016 00:36

Grin I thought he looked a bit rubbery faced too, but put that down to watching it on +1, so it wasn't in HD Wink. He had the same sort of feminine mouth and teeth that Brian Cox has, and I can't fancy him in the slightest either.

foxessocks · 30/08/2016 20:16

Oh no! Did nobody watch yesterday?!

BBQsAreSooooOverrated · 30/08/2016 20:19

I did! The more mature lady was really not impressed with having to pay halves was she?! The man with grey hair was very attractive, he and the teacher make a nice couple I think.

Goldenvalley · 30/08/2016 20:20

I did! Just came here to see what other people thought of the lady who was horrified at having to pay for half the meal? I thought she seemed dreadful!

Trills · 30/08/2016 20:46

They keep changing the date and time
It's as if they don't want us to watch!

Trills · 30/08/2016 20:48

There's one on Four7 at 9pm. Is it a new one? Or yesterday's? Or just a random old one?

Dollydewdrop21 · 30/08/2016 21:04

When is the next one on?

Trills · 30/08/2016 21:05

I'm watching Four7 right now...

Trills · 30/08/2016 21:11

A part time DJ who lives with his parents and says "we're more like friends than parents". NOPE.

ImperialBlether · 30/08/2016 21:19

I'm only half watching it, Trills - which one is the DJ?

foxessocks · 30/08/2016 21:20

Yes the lady was a bit over the top angry about having to pay halves!

foxessocks · 30/08/2016 21:21

The DJ was the first guy I think who was very awkward and shy. I could tell they hadn't clicked straight away!

Trills · 30/08/2016 21:28

Awkward guy with girl who is 21 but acts/sounds a lot older.

ImperialBlether · 30/08/2016 21:33

I like the teacher but I don't think she'll end up with that guy. They're at different stages at their lives for one thing and for another he looks like a player.

ImperialBlether · 30/08/2016 21:51

The woman from St Helens looks a lot older than the guy she's on a date with, don't you think?

My hopes are up for the hairdressers.

ImperialBlether · 30/08/2016 21:59

Is nobody else watching this? Her face when she had to pay!

fourquenelles · 01/09/2016 08:13

Caught up with this last night. The woman who was upset at paying half did look a lot older than the chap she was set up with. The silver fox was very attractive but I did wonder if he was a bit of a player (although he could just be suffering from "good looking"). I loved the gay hairdresser clones, so warm and funny. Nothing like a bit of vicarious dating

As an aside, my daughter was taken by clients to the First Dates Restaurant. No sign of Fred she said but she's not the most observant especially when being plied with wine.

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 02/09/2016 16:57

I've finally caught up too.

Four the staff aren't usually in the working restaurant I don't think. Fred was and maybe still is Maitre d' and General Manager at Galvins Windows, but he also does consultancy work, public speaking and TV since he was on the Michel Roux 'Service' programme, that was a good series. Merlin's Twitter says he's also a barman and landlord of a pub and bar. Laura is in the Navy and Cici is a trained actor. Austin is an actor,
model and dancer and Sam's a bit of a mystery to me, although I haven't dug around too hard Grin

I liked Hannah the teacher, she really reminded me of someone, but I can't just think who. It's probably someone I know though rather than someone famous.

Mary was about three years older than Brian. She was really put out at going halves Grin

Did you see that Tom the part time DJ is returning to chance his arm again?
