Surely not much longer to wait now until the new producer starts? Things must improve, mustn't they?

Hanging on by my fingernails at the minute.

The story about Marta is just ridiculous, and even more so now that Billy the Vicar has become involved. I've had a look at next week's spoilers, and what strikes me is that so many of the 'adventures' the characters have could have come straight from the pen of Enid Blyton.

MissBattleaxe · 08/03/2016 17:53

Last night's was OK, although I do think sending sally way over the top. She is a big comic character and does it all very well, but they sometimes they over-egg the pudding.

I cannot stand Tracey's evil grin. It's so unrealistic- like a cartoon villain. Everytime her plan works she says "oh diddums" to her victim and then grins like a Cheshire Cat. To me it interferes with the suspension of disbelief. Everyone else is acting their socks off and in walks Tracey doing the "bwah ha ha ha! soon all this will be MINE! and you will be BANISHED!"

I warmed to Phelan a bit when he pushed Les Dennis down the stairs.

the phelen story line is the only decent story line in it at the moment and he does play a good part

Rachel0Greep · 08/03/2016 19:33

The Marta story does my head in, I didn't watch much lately. Just caught Sally's speech at the end, last night.

southeastdweller · 08/03/2016 22:34

I've enjoyed seeing Phelan run rings round Michael and can't wait for Les Dennis to bugger off soon to do a play with Gandy.

Marta looks surprisingly fresh-faced and dewey for someone who's been homeless for days.

ProfYaffle · 09/03/2016 06:34

We laughed at Michael, the stairs, and the judicious use of sound effects to avoid an expensive stunt.

MissBattleaxe · 09/03/2016 09:22

I don't like Phelan at all and will only be satisfied when he is driven out of town with pitchforks. The actor is great in the role though.

millimat · 09/03/2016 20:59

Maybe Sawphie could use her clipboard to good effect for Jason on the builders yard when she's not too rushed off her feet in the garage? Grin

Seeyounearertime · 09/03/2016 21:40

Phelan should have a black cape and top hat and twirl a long black moustache whilst tying Anna to the tram lines.

Its just ridiculous and too over the top.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 09/03/2016 23:15

Bet Phelan will whip off a mask and it will be Amanda Holden !

southeastdweller · 10/03/2016 07:44

I know Michael's done nothing wrong but I can't help rooting for Phelan.

millimat · 10/03/2016 22:05

It's just boring, the Phelan storyline. And predictable.
And what happened to tarted up Bethany? Suddenly no make up for school? As if Hmm

NuggetofPurestGreen · 11/03/2016 16:51

see over on Eastenders they also have a body-not-buried-in-the-granny-flat story now.

millimat · 11/03/2016 17:53

I see Brooke Vincent aka Sophie has set her eyes on acting in the USA. I wonder if they have clipboard jobs there?!!

AnguaResurgam · 11/03/2016 20:02

Caught some of tonight's as DD was watching.

Kylie/Freddie just made absolutely everything else look pointless, repetitive and garish.

Where's Roy at the moment? (other than in The Endgame, of course)

LineyReborn · 11/03/2016 20:58

Audrey to Gail: 'brace yourself, Michael's not that much of a catch.'

Wonderful, perfect delivery, like Corrie of old.

BlackDoglet · 11/03/2016 21:00

Yes Limey, I agree, great comic delivery. And I loved the Tim and Norris scenes too.

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 11/03/2016 21:06

I have to say I enjoy Phelan. He's like a baddie of old....like JR. The ones you love to hate.

Rachel0Greep · 11/03/2016 22:03

Yes, I enjoyed some of tonight. Especially Audrey telling Gail, Michael is not much of a catch. And Gail's puzzled face at this information Grin.

Phelan is very convincing. He certainly had Eileen believing him, especially at the end.

I want the Marta story over and done with. It's ridiculous and boring. And Alya's friend is just another pointless character.

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 11/03/2016 22:32

Phelan is very convincing! If I didn't know better I'd be falling for him myself!!

NuggetofPurestGreen · 12/03/2016 10:01

Is Roy in Hastings looking after Sylvia or did he come back?

AnguaResurgam · 12/03/2016 10:05

I just cannot stand Phelan. When is Ryan Thomas leaving? Because hopefully Phelan will go at the same time too.

It's a one-dimensional character, with ropey story-lines.

And I don't much like watching a rapist who has evaded justice anyhow.

(Hoping for the much trailed character cull will happen quickly for some)

Housewife2010 · 12/03/2016 16:30

Phelan didn't rape Anna. She agreed to sleep with him in exchange for him leaving Owen alone.

LineyReborn · 12/03/2016 16:38

He blackmailed her into letting him have sex.
