Beverley Callard was in a programme the other night about bankrupt celebrities. She used to own a pub and had her Corrie other son , can't remember his name working there behind the bar alongside herself. She was saying it was fun to see people's faces when they walked in the pub and saw her and her son pulling pints.

I remember reading that about Beverley Callard in fact, that she'd experienced some financial difficulty? I don't know how it happened though. I read Les Battersby (Bruce somebody?) ended up on benefits though?

Yes I saw Les on another programme a while ago. He was living in Wales I think, and it showed him being driven by a friend to sign on. His character in Corrie was more or less the same as the real him, as in they talked the same way.

The florist's doesn't seem to have any customers.

I like Tracy and think the character has potential but underused. I like Amy too and there's good possibility for storylines.

Just curious... Would the police have brought Simon away on his own, if Ken had not happened to come along?

They would have provided own appropriate adult at station but guess they can legally being in minors as must question them all time.

I don't like Amy either. They don't seem to know where she lives either, I'm sure Liz put her foot down when Tracey behaved appallingly once and said she was staying there.

Agreed Symphony, I would get rid of Tracy and Amy.

Against my better judgement, I watched Friday's episodes today. Nobody could be as unfeeling, and lacking in empathy as Tracy, IMO. Ken is the only parent she has left, she could surely TRY to understand that having been at the police station with Simon would be upsetting. Ugh!

I did like the "You never buy me chips when I've been arrested!" line though
