I don't think I've actually cracked a smile yet.

Oh dear, I haven't watched it because I can't bear her not to be funny, she was so great back in the day.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 11/01/2016 23:14

That's what I thought.

I've just watched it and thought it was brilliant! She does a very good Dame Judy Grin

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 11/01/2016 23:27

Just me then. I thought it was absolute shit. Grin

BreconBeBuggered · 11/01/2016 23:38

I loved it. Best impressions I've seen in a long time, and I enjoyed the sketches too. Welcome home, Tracey.

Ludoole · 11/01/2016 23:43

Anyone remember her 'Breakaway' single from years ago Grin

KnockMeDown · 11/01/2016 23:46

And Angela Merkel was uncanny!

PrincePondicherry · 12/01/2016 00:00

I watched for about five minutes. I don't get it. (Perhaps because I so not British?) the canned laughter was horrendous. I turned it off.

BobandKate0 · 12/01/2016 00:17

The Dame Judi sketch would off being funny if the shop keeper had called the police and they say " oh the bottle of plonk is only a fiver ,so we are not bothered mate, claim on your insurance " then judi rings them and sez this store chap assaulted me and he gets arrested and the place burns down .
Otherwise, its pretty dull and inoffensive so bound to get a bafta.

JamieAndTheMagicFleshlight · 12/01/2016 00:18

I liked it. The drug mule back home after years in a Thai prison was hilarious!

Tracey really reminds me of Julie Walters now.

LovelyFriend · 12/01/2016 00:34

I've recorded it.

Did you know The Simpsons started as a brief skit in the original Tracey Ulman show?

suzannecaravaggio · 12/01/2016 00:41

I think it's good :o

She's worth 70 million the girl done good. Her daughter is a Labour youth leader and went to Leeds uni. I love how she's kept her dc out of the limelight and they've been normal students unlinked some mega stars, she's done crazily well in America. Her husband died only last year RIP. She's the double of a young Julie Walters. And I love how her hair looks grey.

EachandEveryone · 12/01/2016 01:11

She also writes knitting books!

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 12/01/2016 11:18

We laughed and loved her Angela Merkel, She's very talented but I can see it getting boring very quickly.

LentilStew · 12/01/2016 12:37

I thought she was fantastic, esp her AM! I read that her and her husband married quickly after a whirlwind romance and were married 30yrs until he died at Christmas 2013 (or 14) That they decided early on that a certain % of whatever they made would go to charity and they kept to that pledge.

I think she seems like a nice woman who's very talented and has done well for herself. She also looks great without trying to look young. Good luck to her.

LentilStew · 12/01/2016 12:40

I also liked how she did AM, MS and JD without any need to be nasty or snide towards them.

SoleBizzz · 12/01/2016 12:48

I loved the Karen character. So funny.

MissBattleaxe · 12/01/2016 12:50

When was this on? I missed it!

justonemorethread · 12/01/2016 12:54

It was good enough with some funny bits but personally I prefer the old Catherine Tate stuff ( is there new ct stuff?), makesme laugh more.
But she is a good impressionist, so would give theshow another go.

dottypotter · 12/01/2016 13:02

it was absolutely awful, didn't laugh once and what is so funny about portraying judy dench as a thief and a person who smashes up ipads. I would have something to say being portrayed like that. What also is so funny about the prisoner who was released and kept repeating you what and kicking a mans face in, in the garden and trying to strangle her mother?

Comedy really has gone downhill. A sad night. A sad return.

Optimist1 · 12/01/2016 13:31

I was so pleased to see she was back, and wasn't disappointed. Great impressions, irreverent and funny. Good call, BBC!

dottypotter · 12/01/2016 14:43

can you tell me whats funny about portraying judy dench as a scumbag would she find it funny?

Smacks of little Britain they have to resort to toilet humour and being horrible to get a laugh. it works with some people obviously.
