I know he isn't popular on MN but I'm going against the grain and thinking I actually quite like him on the been.

I'm watching him too. I like him. I think he's lovely and down to earth.

Sparklingbrook · 29/12/2015 21:41
Grin
KenDoddsDadsDog · 29/12/2015 21:42

Where is he at the moment , missed the start

Luckystar1 · 29/12/2015 21:43

I really, really, really, really fancy him. Just his face and body, not his mind (or voice)

buddhasbelly · 29/12/2015 21:45

That was meant to say beeb! sparkling get off your hands and voice your opinion please!

lucky he has aged well hasn't he?

Yes I will hang my head in shame if decreed by MN!

ken he's been to Papua new guinea, Nepal and now djibouti

I like him but not sure why he keeps dragging his friends round with him on these trips. They don't add anything to the programme at all.

Luckystar1 · 29/12/2015 21:48

I remember the day he shaved his head (and the Sun was putting artists impressions on its front page) and he turns into an Adonis in my eyes.

I have literally zero interest in his personal life or his charitable stuff, I just love looking at his face. He even looks amazing in the baking heat. I'd be an actual puddle.

Doilooklikeatourist · 29/12/2015 21:49

He seems a very lovely kind man , chatting , getting involved .
What's not to like ?

Chipstick10 · 29/12/2015 21:50

Turned over. Boring.

buddhasbelly · 29/12/2015 21:53

I have no interest in football but have enjoyed seeing how it is something that is linked the world over.

Readysteadyknit · 29/12/2015 21:56

Why isn't he popular? I like him - he's not perfect, but he's a better role model than many sports stars.

buddhasbelly · 29/12/2015 22:06

As an offshoot if anyone likes the theme of this (and also likes cricket!) please read When Penguins Stopped Play. Incredibly entertaining read

Chipstick10 You and me, both.

Hassled · 29/12/2015 22:37

His voice always comes as a surprise to me. I can't retain the information that he sounds the way he does - he should be deep and rugged, not high pitched and Essex.

Iflyaway · 29/12/2015 22:41

It was great. Really enjoyed it and thought he was lovely and normal and very down to earth.

He's gone up in my estimation.

Davros · 29/12/2015 23:10

I love him! And one if the things I love is that he hasn't tried to sound different, he's himself

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 30/12/2015 03:16

He was lovely. I really enjoyed that.

howtorebuild · 30/12/2015 03:21

He is desperate to become Lord Beckham. His voice and use of was instead of were should not be on the BBC. I don't want to fund his pr, let him go to itv3 with Joey Essex.

Howtorebuild - you sound charming! Yes - kick all the oiks off the telly!

howtorebuild · 30/12/2015 12:30

I pay a license fee for the BBC, They normally have high quality independent TV. Normally self promoters buy pr go to ITV. I am sick of brand Beckham, they are trying to get the oldest be a celebrity for no reason other than who his parents are. Their management think the public will buy anything they are fed by that lot.

fresta · 30/12/2015 12:36

I love Beckham! What's not to like? The only problem people seem to have is that he has a regional accent? Don't we all?

howtorebuild · 30/12/2015 12:39

My problem with him is his fucking PR, buying good newspaper articles and now BBC self promoting programmes. Seems to be working. Arise Lord Beckham, your pr is working.
