Heaven help us.

Apparently, one song has been chosen by the public (when? how? ) and the other by their mentor.

Here they are-

Ché Chesterman
Hello - Adele (chosen by the public on Twitter)
Try A Little Tenderness - Otis Redding (chosen by Nick)

Lauren Murray
Firestone - Kygo ft. Conrad Sewell (chosen by the public on Twitter)
You Don't Own Me - Grace ft. G-Eazy (chosen by Rita)

Louisa Johnson
Love Yourself - Justin Bieber (chosen by the public on Twitter)
Jealous - Labrinth (chosen by Rita)

Reggie 'N' Bollie
Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae) - Silentó (chosen by the public on Twitter)
Dynamite - Taio Cruz (chosen by Cheryl)

4th Impact
I'll Be There - Jackson 5 (chosen by the public on Twitter)
Fancy Rich Girl - Gwen Stefani & Eve VS Iggy Azalea & Charli XCX (chosen by Cheryl)

NIce to see mash-us haven't been forgotten - it's a typical Binbag choice.

From the choices- Ché has the best of a very bad bunch, imo. I love 'Try a little Tenderness'. But I get the feeling he may over do it.

I am still recovering, and feel like I have been run over by tram. Plus I made the mistake of going Christmas shopping. I had to buy Ariana Grande perfume for my niece.

See y'all later Grin

Louisa is so pretty but the gelled back hair just looks like she's in dire need of some Batiste.

NoisyBrain · 28/11/2015 21:38

Jess Glynne's voice makes my eye twitch

theredlion · 28/11/2015 21:38

The late 80s/early 90s were my time too.
Does anyone else remember Select magazine?

NoisyBrain · 28/11/2015 21:38

red I loved Select!

Raahh · 28/11/2015 21:39

squoosh- he is Grin

theredlion I LOVED Select magazine. Loved it. The internet has seen off that kind of music journalism.

The NME is unrecognisable.

theredlion · 28/11/2015 21:39

squoosh we all look different these days Hmm

NoelHeadbands · 28/11/2015 21:40

She's a doll

I quite like Grimey too

dillite · 28/11/2015 21:40

Noone needs to know about my hard week so let me just quickly mention it.

squoosh · 28/11/2015 21:40

Nah, some people are frozen in time.

squoosh · 28/11/2015 21:40

Brett Anderson has barely changed.

dillite · 28/11/2015 21:41

So is the final next week then?

theredlion · 28/11/2015 21:41

I loved it too.
I think Caitlin Moran wrote for them? And Stuart Maconie amongst others.
It was a good magazine and really funny, I wish they'd bring back an online version for gimmers like me.

NoisyBrain · 28/11/2015 21:41

One of my favourite t-shirts when I was a schtoodent had an NME front cover on it featuring Michael Stipe (who I still have a huge crush on even though he bats for the other side)

The final next week?
That feels very soon but also that it's dragged.

Raahh · 28/11/2015 21:42

thered- I had all the copies of Select, and the free cassettes that came with them. The first one had Prince on the cover iirc, and a great cassette with The Lilac time on it. Those were the days when I could afford to spend money on magazines Grin. No wonder I ended up working in a record shop where I could read them for free.

Melody Maker was another I loved. Long gone now.

The NME should be folding any day now.

Q and Mojo will trundle on till the end of time.

dillite · 28/11/2015 21:43

Rita is to perform? Are they trying to scare off the viewers?

NoisyBrain · 28/11/2015 21:43

Ooh ooh I still have one of my Select tapes in a box somewhere! I'm a hoarder It has some great tracks on it.

Raahh · 28/11/2015 21:44

The final next week? Considering how long it has taken to get to the live shows, that is earlier than usual.

Not aiming for the Christmas number one then? Though they haven't had it often in the last few years.

Noisy- most of mine were ruined in a leaky roof incident. Sad.

The final?

It's as though Simon can't wait to shake the X Factor dust from his shoes.

theredlion · 28/11/2015 21:46

I'd forgotten about Select tapes, I bet I've got some somewhere...

I've seen most of the big artists live from back then, at the time I got a job which meant I worked with lots of them.

Raahh · 28/11/2015 21:47

So- until tomorrow.

I have to go and watch dd1 singing with her school choir in a shopping centre. I hope they at least sing some Christmas songs this year- it's like the bloody X Factor, the way they avoid them.Angry
