I caught the end of it... his usual perma smile and 'Look, it's a journey we're all working really hard bullshit'. They're doing the American Smooth next week, he said he's going to get to do some lifts and then he said "I've got another poem". to which Zoe responded all enthusiastic encouragement and he said:

"I was Australian Rough, and now I'm American Smooth".

That's not a fucking poem it's not even trying to be a poem!

And Zoe was all "Oooh that's brilliant!". I mean, what? They treat him like a 5 year old showing him their homework, as if he's a bit simple or something.

On IT2 tonight, Pete said he felt awful for Jamelia as she should not have been in the dance off. He deserved to be with his heavy footed jive, but not Jamelia. He said that twice.

Next week he is doing the American Smooth which I cannot see him having the finesse, poise and flow of Fred Astaire to keep him from the bottom 2 again.

UnGoogleable he said "pun". They were doing a piece about the naff puns he makes and then he said that. You're confusion is understandable though

He made sure that we all knew that he had the first ever '10' in this years competition

Which he didn't, of course (Jay did). Unless the producers have gone back to early October and refilmed the voting for him.

I think he said that it was the first ten from len, which I think is right? Didn't darcy only give Jay a 10 for his jive?

He said "Len gave me the first ever 10 on this series" thank god for sky plus playback

Maybe he meant his (NPP) first 10 of the series?

I can't ever remember seeing another celeb so intent on reminding us what they've achieved. He also slipped in that he's been top of the leaderboard three times.

He said "He [Len] gave me the first ever 10 on this series", not "his first ever 10 on this series". Damn you Mrs J for making go back and watch NPP again!

Why do they encourage his so-called puns? They aren't puns,they are just .....well... words.

Trouble is , comments about him are just all this thread consists of at the moment.........which in a way is probably doing him no harm at all.

How are the newbies doing? I love how Giovanni lets Georgia be the star of the show rather than it being about him. He's great at both ballroom and Latin. I can see him being in the show for years.
I also loved how Gleb let Anita be at the centre of this weeks dance, the beginning part she was all by herself. His choreography is stunning.
I always look out for Oti because she's amazing. Hoping she gets a good dancer next year.
And Tristran (technically not new) I love him and think SCD will do the decent thing and give him a better dancer next year. His choreography of the Quickstep had more content than K&K's. Hope he is back next year.

Reminds me of those ladybird books...

I'm only just catching up on Saturdays show. Feel a bit sorry for Helen, her routines are always so precise and technically good. She deserved better scores than that.

This is Peter.
Peter can not dance.

This is Jamelia.
Jamelia danced better than Peter.

Purely on dancing ability, unless Pete experiences a transformation next weekend, he and Katie should be in the bottom2.
I admired Katie's dance but she was a bit wobbly and was not being kept back but kept up by Anton, but there again she was wobblier in hold than on her own. She could do really well in the AT- hope so.

Kelly is very strong and Georgia is delightful. Both consistent in their good performances.
Helen is a superb balletic dancer but not ballroomish enough. She has legs like Darcy.

Jay is a one off and very easy on the eye too

Anita was outstanding in her Paso performance but lacks the strength and skills of the others.

I'm so glad someone else noticed the Jay toddler remark. I thought I was going crazy and had to resort to reading the Daily Mail in order to get the salacious confirmation that I needed.

I know we've moved on from Orange Pete but you have to admit that his humble "Jamelia didn't deserve to be in the dance off" pie was a stroke of strategic genius.

Back to positivity: loved Karen's SO for Anita and for pointing out that shivery bit where Gleb said "Stay" to her at end. Is it sad that I rewound it to catch it again?

Queenbean I felt for Helen too. I thought the dance suited her and was a a bit of a change in style. She's so precise and elegant. Although she does tend to look like a permanently surprised Marilyn Monroe.

Why was Kellie suddenly so smooth skinned on ITT tonight? Was it just the tightness of her ponytail pulling everything backwards? It's not that she usually looks rough, but she usually looks her age.

I'm watching it now, I can't promise not to fast-forward through Orange Pete, I usually get into terminal cringe mode within the first 20 seconds and have to stop watching him.
