The judges didn't say a lot did they? Usually they try to soften the blow and say something like "both couples showed improvement" or "I want to save xx because they danced so much better this second time". But they just said the names.

Craig said something about tried to improve in the DO

Anton is doing his first ever Argentine Tango next week. What a challenge for him and he must be totally outside his comfort zone.

Dresses I liked:-

Anita's, Jamelia's, Katie's. Most disliked was poor Kelly's.

I did notice Helen tripping up at the top of the steps at the end, possibly due to fatigue.

NPP was at bottom of leaderboard coz the judges didn't think his dance was as good as Jamelia's but then they voted her out over him :/

I'm not fussed about NPP but this I kind of favouritism annoys me & the order in which the celebs dance on Saturdays is fooking annoying me too!!

Unfortunate timing really, coming just after Ola's got all that publicity for saying it's a fix. They really should have had the balls to prove her wrong.

James Jordan who wants Peter to win said on Twitter that Jamelia was better in the dance off.

She's been in the dance off more times than I can remember so she's clearly not much good, & the public don't particularly like her.

Where's the fix? Peter is a much better dancer.

My oh just commented on it saying "wonder if strictly is sponsored by iceland" hence him staying in.

surfer PA was not the better dancer based on what I just watched. Overall he may be better but it's meant to be based on that last dance and jamelia was by far the better.

I reckon PA wasn't actually turning up for training this week as all the training footage shown at end of week on ITT was from the start of the week.

maybe they were being kind? putting her out of her misery kind of thing. Must be getting a bit embarrassing being in the dance off every week?

Surfer - Peter is a better dancer than Jamelia (I wouldn't say much better as his technique is only marginally better than hers, although he has better rhythm than her). But the judges are supposed to decide based on the dance that they have just done for the dance off, and Jamelia did do a quickstep, whereas Orange Pete didn't do a jive. I reckon that about 5% of his dance was jive based and the rest was just hopping around flat-footed, and what jive he did was soft and generally poor.

I wanted Jamelia to go this week, in fact I think she has lasted longer than she really should have, but based on those two dances I think she was robbed.

The BBC Strictly Facebook page is almost unanimous in its opinion that Jamelia should still be in - that includes people who say they're actually fans of Peter.

Simon from Blue was in the dance off loads of times. Then he found himself in the dance off with pixie. The judges based solely on how they danced in the dance off and pixie left. There wasn't much in it between Simon and Pixie in the dance. There was a big difference between NPP n Jamelia. If the judges didn't take into consideration that Simon was in the dance off a lot then the same should apply to Jamelia.

I think next week is going to be interesting after this.

Agreed Jamelia was better in the dance off. The judges' voting felt very strained! They were clearly uncomfortable.

I wonder if it's to do with there being so few men left in the competition. I really noticed it when they all shimmied down the stairs together at the beginning of the results show - a whole bevy of women in pink frocks + PA and Jay.

DH and I also thought Anita was criminally under-marked last night for her paso.

I think it may well have something to do with there being so few men left.

IT wouldn't surprise me if they fixed it to be gender balanced.

Not a Peter Andre fan - far from it - but I'm finding Claudia W's glances and mutterings at him very unfunny and verging on unprofessional. Or is she trying to cover a secret crush?

Interestingly, something from the Strictly Facebook page normally pops up on my feed shortly after the result is announced, with brief interviews with all the other couples about how sad they are about whoever has left. This week - nothing. Wonder if that has something to do with the overwhelmingly negative comments on their Facebook page about the result. The judges are being universally condemned for their decision.

I think the BBC chose their celebrities badly this year...too many of them were quite good to start with. The only one who has really had a 'journey' and improved since the start is Jamelia, who was obviously not popular with the public. It's made it a rather boring and underwhelming watch this year.

I got my ticket for the tour months ago before the dancers were announced. I think Jamelia is doing it and Mel Giedroyc is presenting so my enthusiasm is waning by the week.
