Weasels are mustelids. Same family as stoats, ferrets, polecats, otters, badgers and wolverines.

I used to have a Ladybird book on mustelids. Erm, thanks dad.

Oh, and mink.

PseudoBadger · 06/12/2015 23:35

If he was faking it he was very convincing. Only MNers are better at frothing.

Lweji · 07/12/2015 00:17

Maybe Hair wanted a mink coat and also had a hand in that.

oneowlgirl · 07/12/2015 00:22

I hope Dar doesn't fall for Alison's act Angry

I'm also really bothered that no one is looking for Quinn or even bothered about him in the slightest!!

ZenNudist · 07/12/2015 02:28

There are no sacred cows (or ferrets) on homeland. Quinn could well be dead. His storylines have been sodding awful this series except for the one where He went around trying to die in wheelie bins 'for Carrie'

NashvilleQueen · 07/12/2015 06:47

I don't think Quinn can be dead. Otherwise the antidote injection thing wouldn't make any sense. That scene was there for a reason and so I assume that can only be to eventually justify how he can survive it. Really grim scenes though.

The two parts of the story Quinn over there and Saul and Carrie in Berlin seem a bit disjointed for me. Am hoping it all comes together at some stage.

GypsyFl0ss · 07/12/2015 07:04

I haven't watched yet. Usually I read you lot first to get an idea of what's happened. This week I haven't a fecking clue!

bearleftmonkeyright · 07/12/2015 07:05

I really do think he's gone. The whole scene with Brodie when he went I kept thinking he's going to get out of this. The one who gave him the antidote in my opinion is now the important character.

PseudoBadger · 07/12/2015 07:18

Ok so the group are pleased with the results of the Sarin and leave Quinn for dead. They leave to conduct the attack. After a suitable time period he stirs, brushes himself off, calls Carrie (from a concealed mobile or handy phone box?) and tells her of the imminent attack. Then what?

Lweji · 07/12/2015 07:20

Then we find out the Russians were behind it the whole time.

Fiderer · 07/12/2015 07:23

We could do with a Ladybird book for Homeland.

This is Quinn. He may look like a weasel to some people and the CIA runs through his veins so he sometimes does bad things. He is still Good at heart. And Hot.

This is Carrie. She is not very good at her job. She wobbles her lower lip and has spent naughty time with baddies but she is the main character so they won't get rid of her. However annoying she is. She has bad wigs.

This is Brodie. He is dead.

This is Dar. He is black of heart and the Prince of Black Ops. No princesses to be kissed here.

This is Allison. Selfish, scheming, treacherous. We don't like her.

This is Saul. He is Good. He gives people special Snacks. We like him.

bearleftmonkeyright · 07/12/2015 07:51

The bug in the handbag was definitely not foolproof. Hair clearly has a massive collection of bags and is quite the Internet shopper. She could've changed the bag if she decided it didn't go with her outfit.

Cocolepew · 07/12/2015 07:52

Poor Quinn 😢

Lweji · 07/12/2015 07:55

The bug was in the phone. The one in the bag was a backup.
But the whole plan was crap. As usual.

bearleftmonkeyright · 07/12/2015 07:55

SadGrin Coco

bearleftmonkeyright · 07/12/2015 07:57

Oh yes, she was onto the one in the phone but phones can be traced anyway can't they?

HalleLouja · 07/12/2015 09:15

Coco you missed all the drool coming out of his mouth goes off to photo shop.

I quite like the bit where they were following Hair but if Dar Salieri falls for her lies I will not be impressed.

Travelledtheworld · 07/12/2015 10:00

I couldn't watch the death scene, though DD17 who has professed her love for Quinn kept glued to the screen.

I reckoning the antidote injection will keep Quinn ticking over. He will appear dead and the Jihadis will dash off on another mission leaving the sympathetic guy to dispose of the body. He will scoop him up and drump Quinn somewhere he will be found and given some proper hospital treatment...

Travelledtheworld · 07/12/2015 10:01

Or he will actually end up in a dumpster this time, waking up just in time.

PseudoBadger · 07/12/2015 10:34

Travelled - I hope Rob isn't watching Homeland and getting Sarin 'testing' ideas...

fiftyval · 07/12/2015 11:07

Lurker here but avid fan. Worried thatDar mmight fall for Alison's lies, leaving Saul vulnerable again. But won't Carrie start remembering it was a female voice which answered the dead assassin's phone and make the link. Presumably she kept the phone and they can either trace to Alison or the location where it was answered - in which case Saul will remember her taking a call

RudeElf · 07/12/2015 12:50

"If he was faking it he was very convincing. Only MNers are better at frothing."

Grin Grin Grin
howling at this

Agree it feels very disjointed between carrie and quinn.

I dont think he is dead, the antidote makes no sense if he dies. Also, i think There is dialogue from quinn in the opening credits that we havent yet heard in the show. I listen to the opening credits for clues Grin

TheSpottedZebra · 07/12/2015 13:06

They're using Quinn as the threat, aren't they? And filming it. So - look what we're doing to a CIA agent, if you don't do X and Y we'll do it to this city? So that will be broadcast somehow.

So maybe the GoodHacker will somehow figure out where they're broadcasting from, and Carrie and Astrid will rush in and save Quinn, thereby bringing the story lines back together? And the point of the antidote will be that Quinn was bought a bit of time that he wouldn't otherwise have had?

And the terrorists will surely figure out that a syringe is missing, as they had such defined spaces in their protective case. So there will be an implication to that too. RIP 'moral' terrorist.
