Going to sound like a right old grouch, but finally got the kids settled (my two hate going to bed and seem to be intent on winning who-can-call-mummy-in-most-before-she-completely-loses-her-rag competition every might) and the loudest fireworks ever have started to go off! Grr ..... Not happy

I'm telling you if I was in London now I would literally be outside the roundhouse with my nose and other body parts up against the window waiting for BA!

Evening all. Late tonight but sitting up in bed with a heat pad on my shoulder, of all the daft things having to wait for my beef casserole to finish cooking. It takes 3 hours so why on earth I decided to do it at 8.15pm, I have no idea.

Thanks Dance for your kind suggestions about the tax position for my friend. I called to see her after work tonight. She'd taken the day off and was firstly at the Citizens' Advice then the bank. I've been thinking about her situation all day. What is most sad is the way she has hidden it so well for heaven knows how long and never once spoken to anyone about it. I've given her your thoughts. I hope she goes for some counselling not just about her finances but about her shopping addiction too.

I was chatting to a colleague today who had just returned to work after being off 10 weeks. She'd had a hysterectomy some months ago and I presumed (quite wrongly as it turned out) that her latest bout of illness was connected with that. She's been off with the same shoulder problem as me except hers is in both shoulders and has had the added "bonus" of a vitamin D and iron deficiency too. Maybe I should think myself lucky! My physio starts on Wednesday.

mooj hope you feel better? I agree with you about fireworks: organised displays only for me.

Kelly what news of BA? Do you have a long telescope trained on him? Haha.

I was watching something last week from the video clips BA and LT did advertising OG. I'd seen it before but probably not since either we were waiting for the final episode or maybe just after when I really got addicted. BA was talking about how CJ falls for MD (am sure you've all seen it). I hadn't realised when I saw it again that he was wearing that collarless shirt and that dreadful brown jacket. I hope he's not gone out in that tonight. And as for the backwards facing baseball cap, eeek no!

We had a visitor in our area at work today who was a youngish chap with one of those horrible fashionable big beards which aged him by about 20 years. He had a shirt with monogrammed cuffs and a waistcoat with a very flashy silk back to it. Very debonair but how should I put this... very individual. Most guys in our office would not be seen dead in such clothes. Not sure I would want to see our CJ with such a beard, stubble is one thing, a bushy beard definitely not.

Just a wee gloat, all you Northern Hemisphere lot. Beautiful summer evening. Just setting off with friends to see a welcome Pommie invasion... Mumford and Sons are in town!!

Off to Asda after school run to look at certain dressing up outfits they have to wear for Children In Need.

I'm grateful that Children in Need day at DS's school is just a non uniform day and I don't have to come up with a costume.

Morning. I'm at a Christmas fair this morning selling books. This time last year I was doing the same and checking in here all the time. One year on, not much has changed (other than not checking every 10 minutes, bit more restrained now!!) :)

I wish our school was as easy going as that pix.

Primary school sounds quite demanding compared to what I'm used to. Duvet day for me Gilmore Girls at the mo, maybe some OG later on

DS is asleep in the car so just had a dirty macdonalds drivethru and am now randomly parked up on my drive until he wakes as refuse to move him or he will wake straight away! Neighbours must think I'm odd.
Amazing one day update which I might read again whilst he is asleep!!

Ahh I remember those days maddie, I used to sit in the car with the engine running because if I turned it off DS would wake up.

Ditto mads on the McDonald's drive thru. I went through at lunch time but the woman who is supposed to be passing me foood literally was more or less chucking it at me! I was like 'Calm down pet, my reflexes aren't that quick'!

Hope you feel better soon mooj. Asthma attacks must be terrifying. Although my twins havent as yet been diagnosed with asthma, they have viral induced wheezes. They pick up every germ going and it goes straight to their chests. Hence as I thought one twin very chesty today so on with the inhalers, liquid steroids etc.

Not sure if asthma is hereditary as I had it very severely from birth up to the age of 8. Boys were very premature at birth so that didn't help plus they had bronchialitis when they were 1. Kids ey? Hugs to you anyway mooj
