Ooh I'll record that kelly

Probably make your eyes water Wink

KellyHb · 28/10/2015 20:24

I'm having to record it as doing a pile of ironing. I'll watch it later plus I think I'll watch Don't Tell The Bride. I couldn't even imagine saying to DH, you organise the whole wedding and itll be a surprise. There's just no way.

Those ladies are very brave who do that Confused

pixieg1rl · 28/10/2015 20:39

Don't tell the bride is my guilty pleasure Kelly. Goodness knows why I watch it, I have zero interest in weddings. It must be the schadenfreude.

Is it a new series Kelly? I watched a few back in the summer - it was funny yet cringeworthy at the same time.

My gay colleague and I were talking about SCD this afternoon. He doesn't watch it but for some reason likes the Hallowe'en special. I mentioned Gleb and showed him a photo. I thought he was going to pass out! He kept saying "Wow!"

KellyHb · 28/10/2015 21:00

If he has a good gaydar ilove you should show him a pic of BA Hmm

No there's been loads of series ilove. It's great isnt it pix. There's been loads where the bride hasnt liked the dress the grooms picked and shes picked something else.

pixieg1rl · 28/10/2015 21:13

I always laugh as they ramp up the tension of the dress has come off eBay. My SIL got her wedding dress off eBay, and it was perfect (mind you, she's a size 8, so most things look great on her)

Kelly what I mean by new series is: are they repeats or not, sorry wasn't very clear, was I?

Oh yes, he already knows of my addiction to CJ. I seem to recall he agreed he was good looking but didn't nearly expire on the spot as he did with the photo of Gleb (who is married) so not sure it counts for much?

KellyHb · 28/10/2015 21:37

I know a couple of people who ordered their dress over the internet to be made in China. Hmm I think it would be a right hassle returning it if it didn't fit.

Ilovelblue · 28/10/2015 21:43

I advertised a wedding dress belonging to a friend of mine on eBay for her - all I seem to remember were some extremely dodgy eastern European ladies wanting to buy it there and then for their wedding three days hence.

KellyHb · 28/10/2015 21:59

Just saw BA's friend Claire Raff at the beginning of Cuffs playing a policewoman. It was a 2 second thing but I'll see if she's in it any more.

MaddieMoo82 · 28/10/2015 22:00

Ah I sold mine on the Internet.... It was unworn unfortunately due to a rather rubbish end to a relationship. My mum sold to some lady who initial tried to best to bring the price down but luckily my mum wasn't having any of it. She's small but doesn't take any crap.
Having a bit of house jealous watching grand designs on c4 a 1.2 million pound house on the Thames.

Richtea19 · 28/10/2015 22:35

Just remembered I saw this sticker on a car this morning, SPO??!!

Really enjoyed Cuffs. Great cast and believable. Am putting that down to the superb APs direction.
Kelly - Didn't see The Raff girl but she's in for two episodes I think.

LolaKent14 · 28/10/2015 23:05

For anyone interested in Cuffs

KellyHb · 28/10/2015 23:19

Lola she was one of the new recruits at the beginning with the hat on.

I was loving it when they played Youth by Daughter. Took me all the way back to OG.

Nickel45 · 29/10/2015 08:08

Any sightings of BA last night Orph?
Have at good day everyone, I'm going to work ... Peace and quiet. Sigh!

KellyHb · 29/10/2015 08:31

Morning all.

Quite sunny here after yesterday's torrential downpours here.

Yes nickel I wonder if there was any BA sightings too? I envy your peace and quiet today. DH came in with pumpkins last night and all 3 kids are pestering me constantly to do them this morning Confused

Sorry ilove my fault I totally misread what you wrote last night. Yes I think it was a new series of Don't Tell The Bride. I didn't watch it in the end. I watched Cuffs and then went on the Internet. I'll watch it on catch up later.

KellyHb · 29/10/2015 09:30

Actually scrap that. Dark clouds appeared and its raining again. Good job I'm not going anywhere.

pixieg1rl · 29/10/2015 09:36

Down to London for work. Train, tube, etc. I dressed to stand on cold stations this morning and tonight, so I'm a big sweaty mess.

OP posts:
KellyHb · 29/10/2015 10:03

Oh pix hope the day gets a bit better for you. I remember once when I went to London years ago and the tube was crazy hot. I wonder why they don't have air conditioning or is that a silly question? Blush

Onlygirljen · 29/10/2015 10:54

pix that was me last week. Bearing in mind I had dressed for Scottish winter conditions, I felt like melting. Have fun in London! Smile

Richtea19 · 29/10/2015 11:13

Have fun in London pixie, even though it's work! Same dilemma for me tomorrow, I'm going up to London to meet a couple of friends, coat or no coat?! Like you it's needed for windy platforms and coming home, but I will melt in the shops (although I suspect we will spend most of the day having lunch!).

I recorded Cuffs so will hope to catch up tonight. I'm meant to be going out with DH tonight and his family (the dysfunctional one) to a Thai restaurant in Battersea. I really can't be bothered especially as I'm out all day tomorrow. Not sure if I can cope with family dramas (all since FIL's funeral).! Think I will develop a headache and stay in!

DS very pleased with his clean "new" bedroom, although not so pleased with me constant telling him to pick up clothes from the floor. At what stage do teenage boys develop to young men and learn to tidy up after themselves ! ?

Nickel45 · 29/10/2015 11:31

rich - do men ever learn to pick up after themselves?!

My DH was brought up in a Greek family, where the mums do everything ... I'm convinced sometimes that he still hasn't realised that I'm not Greek, and that's never going to happen!!!

Ilovelblue · 29/10/2015 13:17

Any of you on our OG Facebook account will have seen this already and Chris Evans was talking about it as well on his show this morning.

www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/11958899/Revealed-The-39-steps-to-being-a-modern-gentleman.html

Not sure we could tick every box for CJ but I think he could get 37/39. What does everyone else think?

cjwoofwoof · 29/10/2015 13:18

Only one of the four males in my household is half-tidy - middle DS - the rest, including DH are "make a pile" in the middle of the floor types. I no longer tidy up after any of them so their answer to that is to dump everything in the dirty washing basket when they "tidy" up Angry
