Sorry I didn't mean to turn this into a support thread but so so appreciate all your words of help/advice right now. This is the first time I've admitted I'm struggling.
DP does try but one night and I gave DS to him to settle and went to the loo and came back and he was flying him round the room like an aeroplane. I would have laughed but it was 3am Angry we have spoken about it tonight and he is going to try more. He even took the rubbish out which is an improvement..... Confused
Maybe I'll leave them all for 1 night under canvas with foxy. Knowing my luck i'll fall asleep and have no memory of the encounter. CJ is welcome to come and shout at me all he wants, again I think I'll have him tidying naked whilst I watch from the sofa with my shortbread.
kelly Johnny mercer is our local gp who was voted in this election. He knocked on our door canvassing but I refused to answer as was 9mths pregnant and had my swollen piggy feet in a bucket of water. Seeing those pics make we wish I had answered!!!!

MaddieMoo82 · 27/10/2015 21:03

Oh and I can't wait till he can tell me loves me and he needs me. Yesterday he bit my boob and was sick in mouth..... Shock

KellyHb · 27/10/2015 21:06

What a small world mads! He might've massaged your feet for your vote. Hmm You've got all the lovely men near you. BA kind of up the road. Johnny's your MP-I think I'll move down to where you live. Smile

Glad your DP is going to help you more. Someone said having kids is the hardest job ever and its so true. This thread is fab though for support.

Nickel45 · 27/10/2015 21:24

Nice kel :)

Not just a support thread mads, a bunch of great mates wanting the best for you xxxx

MrN is also still completely pants at helping with the kids, but sometimes I would feed the baby (fed both of mine for too long to mention!) hand them over in tears mine and go back to sleep ... I used to think, he always got loads of sleep compared to me (hard,y ever woke up when the baby did), one night of not much sleep for him is fine. And if they keep the baby awake all night, it doesn't matter, if you are asleep it's not your problem, and with any luck they may even sleep a bit the following morning. I think everyone struggles, but not everyone admits it. I really hope you get a bit more sleep tonight xxx

cjwoofwoof · 27/10/2015 21:50

Ditto to Nicks words, mads. MrW was and still is a complete bellend when it came to practical help with the kids. Full of advice on how things should be done and still is and yet conveniently at work/out/too busy/asleep when any of his sage views needed putting into practice. Then has the cheek to call my DSs Mummy's Boys Angry

Hope you get some extra zzzzzs tonight then things will seem a bit more normal in the morning. If you like I'll treat you to a full blow-by-blow quite literally account of my night on the mountains with Foxy and his skintight nipples tomorrow Grin

MaddieMoo82 · 27/10/2015 22:22

Yes nickel DP surprisingly manages to sleep through more than I would ever had imagined. And woof he regulary feeds back on what mil/sil thinks I should be doing but is usually at work/football when needed! Yes need to hear all about how you and foxy kept warm on the hills.
kelly meant MP not GP

apsara03 · 27/10/2015 23:04

Hi mads just wanted to add my virtual hug. It's tough. All babies are different. My first had a tongue tie so would feed for 45 mins sleep for less than 5 then scream. It wasn't picked up till 11 days by which my nipples were a mess and I'd ended up at 11pm at supermarket to get formula. Nothing wrong with combine feeding - lots of friends gave babies 11 ish feed as bottle which the men did. Do what works for you and yours. Some babies fall into routines. Some never do. I used a baby carrier - big long piece of fabric which meant I could get on with stuff and both mine liked being carried. I also got by by drinking latte and eating lots of cake not sure how I' scope now you 're not supposed to drink coffee and breastfeed! Everything is a phase - both the good and the bad. Best bit of honest baby advice I've heard. Do what it takes to keep you sane xx

KellyHb · 27/10/2015 23:24

No worries mads I knew what you meant. I wish he was a GP. I'd join his surgery and be having appointments with him each week just so he could keep giving me the once over Grin

Plus I know all about expectations of you from in laws. I don't think I've lived up to any in their eyes. I'm past caring now.

Alwaysfrank · 27/10/2015 23:30

Another virtual hug mads. I am one of the lucky ones whose babies slept well relatively early. I'm convinced it was because they were formula fed so I cheated, really. I didn't get on at all with breastfeeding and the guilt was terrible with baby number one - but by the time 3 and 4 came along together I didn't waste a shred of energy feeling guilty. That also meant dh could participate fully with the night feeds, which believe me with twins saved my sanity.

Take care of yourself and sod the housework.

orphan · 27/10/2015 23:30

Big big hug to you maddie. Sleep deprivation is soul destroying. Ds was actually one of those mythical sleep through babies and breast feeding was a joy but it was all just a horrible ploy to completely unprepare me for dd who wouldn't come off the boob, had a nasty reflux habit and screamed blue murder if I even tried to put her down in the cot. It felt like it would never ever improve but it did eventually. And it will for you. X

Onlygirljen · 28/10/2015 06:55

I had a good example last night - up from 4.30 with youngest while my bellend of a husband was sound asleep (and doesn't have work today). So now I'm on the early train to work plotting his death and looking at pictures of Gleb in his pants to cheer me up. GrinGrin

Hope you got some sleep last night mads

icemistOBE · 28/10/2015 07:39

Massive hugs maddie my hubby is like that too Jen never hears L when he's asleep.
What a lovely picture to have this morning. He really has brightened this dull morning Grin

Alwaysfrank · 28/10/2015 07:40

Thanks for that picture Jen - what a start to the day!

KellyHb · 28/10/2015 07:47

Morning all.

Its really foggy here this morning. Hope it lifts. I doubt I could see a hand in front of my face if I went outside.

Sorry about your youngest 's early rise this morning Jen. But gorgeous photo though. You can certainly see le bulge. We need to get BA in some pants like that. Wink

Hope you had more sleep last night too mads

I need to get an emergency appt with dentists this week. I've got a back tooth that needs taking out and its been terribly sore for weeks but dentist only wanted to give me a filling but it needs to come out. I'm taking painkillers but obvs trying not to take too many. I'll ring when they open 9.

Hope I can get a babysitter and I haven't got to take all 3 kids with me Confused

orphan · 28/10/2015 08:49

Good luck with the dentist kelly. I've got a general appointment coming up and I dread the hygienist part of it. She's like something out of a horror film the way she gets going with her scrapers and picks.

Spectre was a disappointment (to me and dp at least - the kids enoted it.) I thought the plot was very weak and even the chase sequences were so so. Ralph Fiennes did his best Reggie Perrin impersonation as M and I just about managed to suspend my disbelief when women fell madly in lust with Daniel Craig. However the title sequence with the naked writhing females made me smile as it reminded me of richtea's wonderful sketch. Ahhh, happy memories of kilt fitting...

orphan · 28/10/2015 08:58

Oops meant the kids enjoyed it. And I do have to admit Daniel Craig wears a suit well. Just replace his head with Tom Hardy's Smile

Hope you had a better night maddie.

MaddieMoo82 · 28/10/2015 09:10

Thanks again all FlowersFlowers standard 4 wake ups but did manage to get him back in his cot between 5-7 as he normally comes in with us (shhhhh don't tell HV!) so at least I slept for that bit without fear of rolling on him.
So most menfolk seem the same then so won't hold out much hope for improvement but thanks for the early morning gleb pic jen he is beautiful!
And kelly I hope you can get some help as I can't imagine 3 kids and a dental surgery would be much fun Sad

MaddieMoo82 · 28/10/2015 09:12

And I think BA in little trunks like that would probably finish me off!

KellyHb · 28/10/2015 09:19

Well tried dentists. No appointment joy. I've gotta ring another day as they're fully booked. Nothing emergency wise either. Another day of painkillers then.

That's disappointing about the film orph I'll probably watch it anyway to get out the house. I think reading between the lines, its supposed to be DC's last Bond film.

orph is Years and Years at Brixton Acadamy tonight? I remember you said your DD was going. I know they were there last night. BA may be there as he went last year. I'm keeping a Twitter lookout for mention of him going.

orphan · 28/10/2015 09:30

Oh sorry kelly. Fingers crossed for better luck next time you ring. And yes, it's Years and Years tonight at Brixton. I've selflessly given my ticket to dd's friend and will just be dropping off and picking up but I've persuaded a friend to come with me and we'll have a meal whilst waiting for the girls. I think I'd combust if I did spot BA better wear renforced knickers

orphan · 28/10/2015 09:35

maddie the only way I could get any sleep with dd was to bring her into our bed. Tbh I wish I'd given in sooner rather than fighting to get her to sleep on her own.

cjwoofwoof · 28/10/2015 09:56

Nice pic of Gleb jen to brighten up the morning.

Glad you got a bit of kip mads coz sleep deprivation is like slow torture or spending all Christmas Day with the MIL.

Might swerve James Bond then orph as I thought Daniel Craig was looking a tad grandad-like in a recent publicity pic too. Bit up himself when interviewed as well. Quite fancy Matthias as JB, like a nod to the EU that we even like Belgians playing a British spy. I bet he wears a tuxedo well - must Google and see if I can find any pics

cjwoofwoof · 28/10/2015 09:59

Silly question really...

orphan · 28/10/2015 10:10

Yep and he even wears dodgy dressing gown type clothing well. I wonder who lucked out and got to oil his chest for that pic?

I think you've got a pretty good chance of seeing him orph unless he went last night of course. Well, you have all our sexual hopes and dreams of meeting him with you. Grin
