Wow! Had loads to do this afternoon. Glad I didn't watch that video till now or I would have never got it all done as would have stayed fixed to the screen! He is gorgeous!!!

I was rubbish at planning, didn't have a birth plan (theory was, I'd just have all the drugs going!) and bag not packed till the last minute (with DD it was the night before C section was booked!), but hoping for the SZS should there be a zombie apocalypse, so no need for anything!

I love your story too Jen, can't wait to see how it pans out, I don't know how you come up with these stories, but so pleased you do, it's brilliant :)

You lot are making my OCD antennae twitch with your tales of not packing labour bag till the event! I was done and dusted at 24 weeks both times, although in my defence I had bad experience with early labour issues.

Just means you are more organised jen . Really embarrassingly DH had to go out and buy little tshirts for DD from the nearest Mothercare, the afternoon after he was born, as the nurses on the ward were cross cos I had only taken a couple of baby gros in, and nothing to put on under it! There was me thinking we'd be home the days after, how did I know it would be an emergency C/S! Hee hee!!!!

Jen I can only echo what Nickel, Kelly, Richtea and others have said. Your new story is addictive. How do you all come up with these different storylines? I like the idea of CJ having to beg and persuade MD to attend his sister's wedding. I hope in the next couple of chapters there's an overnight stay in a double bed and lots of QS! You are the mistress of QS after all.

Richtea I forgot to mention yesterday in my tourist guide to York but Betty's do something called a Yorkshire Fat Rascal which you need to try. It's a cross between a scone and a rock bun. If you like them and want to take anything home, they do freeze well. The reason I remembered is that I bought one at Betty's at Harlow Carr in August, froze it and had it tonight after my tea.

I had a huge hospital bag packed with all new stuff... Towels, pjs, wash stuff (clearly I thought I was staying for a while) and they kicked me out after 6hrs and I didn't make it to the ward, straight out of the pool and home so all a bit of waste really.

Oh sounds like it was a really worrying time you had jen which is probably an understatement.

I had two totally different due date experiences.

DD was two weeks overdue, normal weight etc.
However with twins, I had pregnancy issues from 12 weeks really. But I lived in hospital for a month before I had the them with baby problems, so had my bags already at the hospital as it were and it was an emergency caesarean.

Just enjoyed some combat action on ch 4 SAS who dares wins...Foxy wass just that...don't know if anyone else saw!!

I thought I would share my experience with first DS, emergency C section so no bag at all.... DH brought in the bag at home which was packed, all good however I needed clothes to come home in and he selected a pair of "normal" jeans and tshirt. What with hormones and jeans I couldn't get over my knees, I was slightly tearful!

ilove any suggestion that involves a scone, is good!

BA's friend Rose Leslie had a big premiere in Leicester Square tonight for her film she's in with Vin Diesel called 'The Last Witch Hunter'. Couldn't see any pics of BA there with her.
