Morgan was heading back to the house at the end. Rick invited him to live with them and they live in the grey house at the end near the wall.

Is it possible to be over-invested in this? It's not, is it? Grin

BigOCupOfTea · 20/10/2015 23:32

Yes - 'it's much better for everyone that I stay hiding out here with my son whilst you all get slaughtered' doesn't make much of a rallying cry ??

I don't agree with this at all.

They were taken 100% by surprise. They weren't knowingly going in a huge fight encouraged by her and she ran off.

What would have been the point of her going out into the open? Just for the sake of being brutally killed? Confused

She had no weapon and she has zero fighting experience. She would have been a burden to Maggie too, as she would have had to protect both of them, rather than just focus on herself.

What about the food woman hiding in the cupboard? She was surrounded by guns and didn't think to get one and go and help.

BigOCupOfTea · 20/10/2015 23:34

Still can't believe no Rick

I'm a huge Daryl fan but it was actually nice to have an episode where the more B and C list characters actually get to do some badass things for once.

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/10/2015 23:43

It's the first episode Rick hasn't been in Shock tho agree nice to see others act - tho some now are dead so won't be again

ElderlyKoreanLady · 21/10/2015 01:10

Is it actually the first episode without Rick? I thought there were a few. One that focussed on Michonne and Andrea's journey to Woodbury, Darryl and Beth burning down the moonshine place, Beth in the hospital, look at the flowers...

Agree that Darryl looks rough in the first episode of this season. This might get me evicted from the thread but his appeal to me was that he was a good looking ruffian who was a bit of a dick at times but knew what he was doing. That episode, he just looked rough and he's getting far too placid.

limitedperiodonly · 21/10/2015 08:28

Carol is definitely a MNetter.

She outed herself when she primly judged Mrs Pastamaker Nedermeyer for her weak and filthy habit of smoking.

Not only was Mrs Nedermeyer shamed in front of the whole group, she was hacked to death while having a fag. See, smoking kills. Carol showed no emotion but I detected a certain smug satisfaction.

That is the very definition of a MN anti smoker. And she proved herself to be a reformed smoker by picking up the packet at the end. There's no one worse, IMO.

I was completely behind her when she killed and burned Karen and Man-Who's-Name-I've-Forgotten and put down Lizzie. But I have to say she's gone down in my estimation.

RhubarbRhubarbRhubarb · 21/10/2015 09:53

Carol is a survivor, she doesnt want to be a victim again. She's come through so much and her world is kill or be killed now. She did show emotion at the end so I dont think she's lost her humanity yet. Maybe things will go too far with her or maybe she will have a breakdown, who knows but ultimately if you're going up against The Wolves you're going to need a few more wiley Carols.

'The Grove' with Lizzie was the saddest episode I've ever seen - she didn't want to do it but took it on anyway. She's had the most interesting character arc in the series.

BreakingDad77 · 21/10/2015 10:46

I did wonder if there was a kind of "crossroads" about morgan and carol when they walked passed each other, Morgan having to face his pacifism and carol relighting her warrior.

Agree with comments on carol from the broken women searching for her daughter to busting down Terminal etc

limitedperiodonly · 21/10/2015 11:01

I think I needed to deploy a Wink there. Wink

BigOCupOfTea · 21/10/2015 20:56

Carol showed no emotion but I detected a certain smug satisfaction.

She picked up the cigarettes and cried after it was over Confused

limitedperiodonly · 21/10/2015 21:33

I think some of us might be getting a little bit too invested in a TV show about zombies. Sad

Look at the Flowers Lizzie.

Smile Shock Confused

Oh and Wink, which is my favourite

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 21/10/2015 23:05

Yep. Grin

ElderlyKoreanLady · 21/10/2015 23:39

I don't think Morgan has killed the final wolf. When he kills, he uses stabby stick. He used swipey stick after he apologised. I think the apology is for not killing him. When the one who tried to kill Gabriel was talking, he basically said he's doing them a favour by freeing them from this world. I reckon Morgan was apologising for not freeing him.

of course I'm not overinvested

limitedperiodonly · 22/10/2015 00:51

Morgan swiped and it went black. I don't know. I think a good whack with a broomstick might break your skull. And that blackness and silence technique has been used to signify death on other cult shows. Though I'm not going to specify in case people haven't watched them. But you might know what I mean...

exLtEveDallas · 22/10/2015 06:37

Every other killing faded to black, so I don't see why Morgan's would be any different. I'm sure he killed him and the "I'm sorry" was because the guy had said "You can't can you?" earlier in the fight.

quirkychick · 22/10/2015 22:10

ElderlyKoreanLady how can anybody possibly be over invested Grin.

If he hadn't killed him, he will surely be coming back again soon. Interesting some of the wolves were saying they had no choice.

BreakingDad77 · 23/10/2015 10:32

im assuming the wolves have to earn their place somehow though wondered why they sent them in with just melee weapons.

BingoBonkers · 24/10/2015 08:50

Ep2 was thrilling! Talk about keep you on your toes. Loved it. Completely blew Ep1 out of the water.

I didn't realise that JSS girl was Edith/Enid. All her coming and goings make sense if she was a spy for the Wolves. I didn't get the feeling that the Wolves were looking to take over but to wipe the Alexadrians out.

Weren't the supporting struts on the perimeter fence on the outside? I thought this was a bit odd.

ApocalypseNowt · 25/10/2015 09:40

I liked the bit at the end where Carol and Morgan walk past each other. Notice that Morgan was in white and Carol in black? Thought that was a good image..

Also loved Kevin Smith's analogy of what episode 2 was like (on The Talking Dead).... Grin

1Q84 · 26/10/2015 08:57

Episode 3 faints

brittanyfairies · 26/10/2015 10:09

Oh my goodness, I've just watched it. Make sure you have a stiff drink in your hand, those with loose bowels/bladders sit on a towel and maybe have a box of tissues in the room.

It was an amazing episode, but emotionally draining.

LBOCS2 · 26/10/2015 10:52

Just watched it.

I'm not happy.

BingoBonkers · 26/10/2015 11:33

I'm avoiding the thread til I have watched it. Now I'm anxious that something awful happens to a pivotal character........
