I quite enjoyed this episode. I didn't think I would, but it was interesting to see how Morgan's story developed after Rick last saw him. And Eastman was a great character. Tabitha too.

What was the gas mask thing Morgan was wearing at the beginning? It looked like part of the gear Glenn was wearing when he arrived at the Termite place.

And talking of Glenn, I wouldn't read too much into Steven Yeun's name not being in the credits.

1Q84 · 03/11/2015 01:31

Yes - poor Tabitha Limitedperiod . I do worry what I'll do with 2 doggies and 2 toddlers in the ZA.

I think the 2 men were just running by and it was to highlight how crazed Morgan was at that point.

gingerboy1912 · 03/11/2015 09:22

I would imagine that if an apocalypse or world war actually happened the amount of people that had major mental health problems would be vast. So I think it was important to focus on this last night rather than just assuming everyone would be like Rick or Daryl.

QueenStromba · 03/11/2015 10:18

Yeah, Daryl was built for a post-apocalyptic world. I've been re-watching from the start and the difference in him from the first episode to when Judith turned up is huge. Don't forget that Rick went a bit crazy for a bit after Lorie died - he was getting phone calls from dead people.

YoScience · 03/11/2015 10:32

Thanks, yes that makes sense that the Wolf was Morgan's equivalent of Craighton. I thought I had misheard something!

I don't particularly like the Morgan character, I agree that you can't live in such a way that will get others killed. But I did quite enjoy last night's episode on his back story.

I don't think Glenn will be dead, but I don't think you will find out next week either, I thing it will be dragged on for another week.

Over the summer I watched all the episodes right from the very start with DD who wanted to see them all in time for season 6 starting (I was delighted that she was finally a fan! Grin) and you definately can see the changes in every character from the start. I think to an extent they have all gone through a period of crazy.

Silverstreaks · 03/11/2015 14:20

I know it didn't answer the big question (anyway my mind is pretty much settled on Glenn being alive) but I really enjoyed that Morgan centric episode. I felt quite emotional throughout. Eastman was such a good strong character although short and sweet.
Looks like it will be more flashbacks in the next episode, hopefully showing two miraculous escapes.

Oh Tabitha! Sob

wecanbuthope · 03/11/2015 19:10

some of them are evil though and should be killed before they attack the nice people

Who are the nice people? The people from Alexandria?

Those who live in comfort, haven't experienced starvation and have protection/security against the walkers?

Compared to the wolves? where at this point would have very little access to food and who have lived on the outside with walkers for over a year? They would probably be "nice" too if they had always lived in Alexandria.

I thinK Eastmans point is that some people do evil things because of situations not because they are purely evil.

Therefore all life is precious.

Wecanbuthope: what you said is exactly the opposite of what Eastman thought. He categorically said that he had met many people in his career that had committed evil acts but only one person he believed to be truly evil. He got revenge on the guy by locking him up and starving him after he killed his wife and kids but he got no comfort or solace from doing so. He still knew that the guy was evil but realised that it doesn't make any difference in the end. That you can spend your life angry and vengeful or you can just be free of it all.

Rollergirl1 · 03/11/2015 21:28

Agree with what others up thread says though, is nice to have this view when only looking after yourself but a very selfish viewpoint when it affects other people around you.

wecanbuthope · 03/11/2015 21:29

what you said is exactly the opposite of what Eastman thought.

No it's not.

It's MY interpretation of his thought process.

He find solace by not killing and by realising all life meant something.

emotionwreckage · 03/11/2015 23:44

While on the subject of the Walking Dead, can anyone advise me how I can watch from season 2 onwards. It's not on Netflix Uk and it's advertised as being on Sky box sets but I can only find season 3 episode 13 and season 6. Would like to stream it but don't know how! Just discovered it and need to catch up!! Thanks all.

BingoBonkers · 04/11/2015 00:40

Apparently it's on Amazon Prime.

QueenStromba · 04/11/2015 09:50

Amazon Prime has seasons 1-4 for free if you are a Prime member and season 5 to buy for £19.99.

BreakingDad77 · 04/11/2015 11:06

They are still on virgin box sets too i think.

I watched it a couple of times and I'm unclear on whether the two humans Morgan killed - the one he stabbed in the throat and the one he strangled who bit Eastman - were out to get him or just running by

I thought they were stalking morgan and they had a gun out, they could have called out.

What was the gas mask thing Morgan was wearing at the beginning? It looked like part of the gear Glenn was wearing when he arrived at the Termite place.

I thought when KARRRL and Rick went to steal morgans guns from the cross roads he was wearing some sort of helmet/face mask get up?

SaskiaRembrandtWasFramed · 04/11/2015 11:32

Ah, I didn't remember that. That makes more sense than him being a Termite.

quirkychick · 04/11/2015 12:04

Yy all seasons have been on Virgin Box Sets on catch up. I missed the beginning and some of the end... aaagh! I will have to rewatch. I might end up rewatching all this season so far, as they all overlap.

gingerboy1912 · 04/11/2015 13:39

I assumed the two men were chasing Morgan. It would be a bit of a coincidence that they were running on exactly the same path as him but didn't either acknowledge or know Morgan. IMO

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/11/2015 15:24

I thought it was a good episode and shows why and why morgan Belives not to kill

Tho he is gonna have to to save everyone else in the camp

Prob find out glen next week

Rem 1 and 2 flitted about and we didn't know till 3 what happened in 1

BreakingDad77 · 04/11/2015 15:25

I was actually amazed more people didnt' come across each other on the routes from the terminus signs.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/11/2015 15:26

Tho didn't get why he waved his baton at the couple in the wood who offers him chicken noodle soup?

It was obv not zomblies

BreakingDad77 · 04/11/2015 15:46

I guess they were no threat to him so didn't need to be cleared.... I got the impression at that point he was engaging anything that would put up a fight?

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 04/11/2015 15:50

It's Daryl next week, I think?

So it'll be the mid-season finale that we find out about Glenn.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 05/11/2015 19:42

I think you're right Anchor. It'll drag out and drag out and then in the msf Maggie will probably find Glenn as a walker.

His fate in the comic has been widely known for ages. I think it would actually be quite interesting if they give Glenn a totally different ending, would be much more interesting.
