Tabitha joins Buttons and Rick's horse at the beginning in the list of TWD dead characters I cried the most over.

limitedperiodonly · 02/11/2015 22:33

And the tortoise Enid ate.

limitedperiodonly · 02/11/2015 22:34

And the possum Daryl shot in the cupboard.

YoScience · 02/11/2015 22:36

Possibly stupid question alert! But the wolf at the end he isn't Craighton Dallas Whatsit is he? Did he say I'll kill the children just like I killed cheeseman's?

QueenStromba · 02/11/2015 22:36

I feel like there should be a happy medium between kill everyone and don't kill anyone no matter what.

QueenStromba · 02/11/2015 22:39

I thought that for a second Yo but I think the idea was that Morgan was recanting his tail of redemption to the wolf. So he's trying to do for the wolf what cheeseman did for him since the wolves seem to have the same mentality that Morgan did.

limitedperiodonly · 02/11/2015 22:39

It's not a stupid question. He did say something about the cheeseman which made me think of Eastman but I've deleted it now.

limitedperiodonly · 02/11/2015 22:41

And Eastman said sorry when he whacked Morgan just like Morgan said sorry to the wolf. The only think is that Morgan was unconscious when Eastman said it. Unless he said it just as he hit Morgan. I can't remember that either.

I surprised myself and really enjoyed this episode.
Eastman was a great character- pity he didn't survive.
Bit worried about that wolf at the end though- surely the don't kill thing needs some critical thinking applied to it during the zombie apocalypse...

He's not THE Crighton Dallas Wilton. Eastman killed him - let him starve to death.

Morgan was telling the wolf his story which is how the wolf knew Eastmans name.

I think it was trying to show that the Wolf is Morgans ownCrighton Dallas Wilton (the most evil person hes ever met)

wecanbuthope · 02/11/2015 23:25

Apparently Glenn's name (well the actor who plays him) was missing from the opening credits but I didn't notice it myself

But thats something the writers would have done very deliberately. They really want people to believe that hes dead.

Glenn is not dead. You can see him sliding under the dumpster.

wecanbuthope · 02/11/2015 23:27

Notice that nobody gives a crap about Rick being about to be overrun by a herd of walkers!

You hear Rick shout at the end of the episode.

Theres no way they would ever kill of Rick anyway. Not until the very last season.

KittyOShea · 02/11/2015 23:30

I'd sooner lose Rick than Glenn. Rick has nothing new to offer as a character.

ElderlyKoreanLady · 02/11/2015 23:37

Agree Dixie...well executed episode but I still don't give a flying fuck about Morgan and his illogical stance on killing.

gingerboy1912 · 02/11/2015 23:41

I really enjoyed that episode thought the acting was great.

See I thought his stance was stupid and I thought he was going to be the new Tyreese until I watched this episode.

I thought it was brilliant.

The world has gone to shit but the people that are out there (despite what they've done) aren't evil and deserve to live.

limitedperiodonly · 03/11/2015 00:10

I watched it a couple of times and I'm unclear on whether the two humans Morgan killed - the one he stabbed in the throat and the one he strangled who bit Eastman - were out to get him or just running by.

TheWoodenSpoonOfMischief · 03/11/2015 00:31

It was a good episode and I really liked Eastman. He was so grounded and could've been a great long term character but his intelligence, strength of character and humanity would have made him a leader. Where would Rick be then?

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 03/11/2015 00:49

I liked Eastman too. Shame he died.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 03/11/2015 00:53

I've just been back and checked and it did miss Steven Yeun's name off the credits. Confused

ElderlyKoreanLady · 03/11/2015 00:56

Means nothing Adorabelle, don't panic!

1Q84 · 03/11/2015 01:10

I knew Morgan didn't kill that man from the Wolves - if the death is left in anyway ambiguous they are never dead.

I really enjoyed the episode, it was very sad. And I was kind of swept along with Morgan's Aikido creed until that end scene where you just realise you as an individual might choose that way but you have no right to expose others to danger through it - especially if you are doing so in an underhand manner. Ie Keeping the wolf alive and not telling everyone that you are hiding a man who has vowed to kill you all, including the children if he escapes.

See I just don't get that WoodenSpoon - Eastman was a great character but he could stick to his creed because he lived alone, in isolation (though apparently not far from terminus Hmm.) How could it possibly work if he was entrusted to keep others safe? How could he redirect energy to protect Judith in a gun battle? Against the governor with a tank? Someone just has to pull a gun and his staff is of limited value. He just has to be outnumbered and responsible of someone else's safety as well as his own and I don't think he could do it.

Rick - and Carol - have both had to redefine morality in order to keep those they love safe. I don't think, in the context of what they are facing, that makes them bad.

It's such a good show - and this has been a great season so far.
