Evening all! Ilove that reminds me of the days before my cats passed away. I had to catch little mice who had been deposited in the house against their will on quite a few occasions. I don't mind them either. I used scoop them up in my hand and carry them as far away from the house as possible to some open ground whilst they peeped out of the cracks between my fingers - before returning home to scrub my hands clean

To reverse the cat versus rodent story we also used to have hamsters and it's amazing how terrifying cats find a hamster ball and also how the hamsters always seemed to make a beeline for the cats whenever they were in them particularly charging at them in the kitchen when they were eating. Of course there is that one occasion when the lid of the ball came off!! Don't worry, DH managed to rescue the hamster in the nick of time. I don't recommend hamsters and cats as pets at the same time especially when you have kids who leave cages open at night! Still no harm came to them and they all lived to a ripe old hamster age.

Not so long ago Rhubarb my champion mouser brought a little mouse into the bedroom at 3am and I was chasing it around. When I caught it, I went up to the front gate to let it free. If anyone saw me, they would have thought me totally mad.

The same cat has also brought in a hamster. Heaven knows where he found it. I rescued it but it later died, probably from shock.

KellyHb · 05/10/2015 23:38

Losing my voice ilove. Thanks for asking. But I think the kids have had it worse. Hope you have a better day tomorrow at work.

I was going to watch Dr Foster tonight from last week but got waylaid doing something else. I'll watch it tomorrow morning when everyone's at school. Suranne Jones was on Radio 1 this morning talking about DF. This weeks last episode is being hyped up massively.

Funny how you and rhu were talking about a cat bringing in a mouse: my parents cat did that the other day and my Mam tried to get the mouse and carry it outside but it bit her and she had to go to doctors for a tetanus injection and antibiotics I think.

Morning. Dark and murky today but strangely warm. Not what you expect for October.

If anyone annoys me today, they're in for trouble. Patience wearing thin.

icemistOBE · 06/10/2015 07:54

Morning, full of a cold and cough so need cheering up this morning Sad

I need to watch Dr Foster in catch-up and apparently the one on Sun night on BBC 1 is excellent too.

I recorded From Darkness but I haven't watched it yet, I love Anne-Marie Duff and if course Richard Rankin is in it.

Feeling terrible, went to pick DS up from school yesterday which was a mistake. Completely wiped me out, I went to bed at 5:30 and I've only just got up.

Ilovelblue · 06/10/2015 08:19

Some poorly ladies out there. Hope you feel better soon.

Recorded that programme from Sunday as of course I was on the watchalong. Richard Rankin? Didn't realise he was in it and I loved him in The Syndicate.

cjwoofwoof · 06/10/2015 08:58

Morning! Just checking in. Had a rare old biddies girls night out last night. Great fun but no totty to ogle unfortunately. I suppose Bingo Night in the Village Hall with a glass of sweet sherry and a bloater paste finger roll is not really the place to find any...

cjwoofwoof · 06/10/2015 09:09

And the excitement doesn't end there - ohhhh no. Today I'm meeting my parents for lunch in the local garden centre cafe as its half-price pensioners haddock and chips day. But I might live dangerously and go for the jacket potato with cheese and beans, (I know, mental or what?) but only if they don't mind paying full price of course. It's quite a dilemma living with the extra £2 cost on my conscience when the haddock is only £5.45, but I'll make it up to them and buy them some slug pellets or something on the way out. My life is truly like our own dear Duchess of Cambridge sometimes

KellyHb · 06/10/2015 09:14

Morning all and ((get well hugs)) to the poorly ladies.

Chucking it down here but yes quite mild. Been awake all night with twins coughing. Earliest docs appt I could get for them was tomorrow after a week of trying. Confused

Bingo night sounds great fun to me woof. A few of my friends go to bingo and I havent been in ages. I may rectify that soon. It tickles me when they shout 'Kelly's eye number 1'. Smile

I'll try and catch up on From Darkness one morning. As well as RR its got one if my favourite actors in it too called Johnny Harris.

While having breakfast I'm going to watch Boots On The Ground, the behind the scenes from OG. Haven't seen it in a while.

kuiakaituhi · 06/10/2015 10:11

Went to see "Pan' at the movies today Hugh Jackman is a most interesting Blackbeard. One of the very few lovely things from Australia is Mr Jackman.

cjwoofwoof · 06/10/2015 10:30

Ditto kuia HJ is defo in the Antipodes Section of the MN Fireside Naked Wrestling competition along with Manu Bennett, Antony Starr and the newly-signed up and contractually bound to also carry out one-to-one individual practice sessions Sonny B. Unfortunately poor Hugh will be annihilated by Manu of course, and will require a full rub down by me in the locker room afterwards Grin

cjwoofwoof · 06/10/2015 10:32

...before I move on to congratulate Manu very thoroughly on his victory

KellyHb · 06/10/2015 11:26

That's interesting ice earlier when you tweeted Bashira's (Rebecca in RL) dad and he said it would be an awesome side story if Bashira was in a Series 3 and I assume TG read that part as he tweeted Bashira's Dad too. So I wonder if TG is thinking in some way about a Series 3. I suppose who knows but at least he knows people are asking about it. Smile

I'm sure I read sonewhere that TG had been favouriting tweets about a S3?

icemistOBE · 06/10/2015 11:29

Would be great, but he also tweeted they are moving to NZ so unlikely to happen with same actress

OP posts:
KellyHb · 06/10/2015 12:22

Yeah I read that too. Ah it would be a shame with a different Bashira. NZ's supposed to be a lovely place to live. They seem like a nice close family.

Ah well, I'm happy if TG knows how CJ, Molly and a S3 would be great. Smile

kuiakaituhi · 06/10/2015 12:44

Bashira/ Rebecca would be an interesting addition to NZ film/TV scene, which is very alive and creative. Have any of you seen "Whale Rider"? Child actress in that has gone on to do part in "Game of Thrones" Season 5. Peter Jackson is remaking "The Dambusters', classic WW2 war movie. "Avatar 2" is also being made here. Very military, perhaps CJ might like to turn blue for a bit of work??
NZ is agood place to live, depends on which part. House prices in Auckland gone stratospheric

KellyHb · 06/10/2015 13:31

Ah, I wondered kuia what had happened to The Dambusters remake. Is it still being filmed do you know? It was first mentioned a couple of years ago but I could never find much information on the internet. Hmm

MaddieMoo82 · 06/10/2015 19:33

Evening all day. Busy day and horrible weather.... Very autumnal. Didn't realise new Lewis started tonight Smile DP out watching football so before it starts going to treat myself to OG episode 2, I missed most of the watchalong. Hope the garden centre lunch was good woof, our local one does a lovely Sunday carvery Grin

icemistOBE · 06/10/2015 19:33

Lying in the dark listening to DS singing aye aye yippy....

MaddieMoo82 · 06/10/2015 20:19

Oh skipped episode 2 for eternal glory... That new sports competition.... Always had a thing for James cracknell.... Think it's the thighs Smile

KellyHb · 06/10/2015 20:28

Nearly caught up on reading FF. (punches the air) Eating a yoghurt while DH watches Wheeler Dealers or some such car programme.

Hope to God the twins have a better nights sleep tonight. I think I'll have to jackpot someone if I've gotta have 5 straight nights with not much sleep Angry

James Cracknell is very agreeable mads. He ran past me on the GNR the other week. I've always had a soft spot for him. Smile

KellyHb · 06/10/2015 20:37

DH is eating a baguette that he bought earlier on today. Its supposed to be a chicken and cheese one but I've told him the insides look like roadkill. Urgh.

MaddieMoo82 · 06/10/2015 20:56

Certainly wouldn't kick him out of bed kelly and yes he is looking very agreeable in his all in one Lycra!
Just seen the trailer advert for pan... Not sure I'll be able to watch it after reading some pretty saucy Peter Pan fan fiction, I can't look at Wendy and Captain Hook the same way. The same thing has happened with Harry Potter and hermione and snape!! Shock
