We never really have tv on that much , unless MIL is here, who wants to watch crp all day, then more crp at night - Corrie, Emmerdale etc.

I just wanna see Pauline pop her clogs and Grant show up to sweep Jayne away.

I'd like to see Ruby get a slap, too, but I doubt that will happen.

Well yes, expat, Pauline popping her clogs will be worth watching - although they always make eastender so gloomy at Christmas.

I'll bet Sonia would love to dance on her grave .

As she was dying, if I were Sonia, I'd go in there and tell her, 'We're back together! I'm pregnant again! He's MINE, MINE, MINE!'

It's too bad that doggy doorstop went to smash in Den's head and not Pauline's.

Hope they show ET at some point, have been building it up to ds1 who is obsessed with aliens. Otherwise will have to buy or rent it.

Boy am I glad I've got DVDs of Spooks and the West Wing on my Father Christmas list. Even the movies I'd be interested in I've already got on DVD. But hey, Dr Who and Vicar of Dibley are ok, although I bet they're scheduled for some stupid time so I miss them.

And Anthea - now that's enough for me to persuade me get digital...not PMSL

I read today in teh News of the World (not that i buy it, i read it a friends)this listings for Christmas Day, and if it's the right one, well, what can i say!

makes for a riveting days viewing doesn't it? Not.
I think the only thing that won't change is the Queen. I can't see them putting Pirates of the Carribean on at that time, as i'm sure it was a 12 rating.

Since having kids, I can't say I have cared too much what is on the TV as I rarely get a chance to watch it anyway.

However, I will be watching Dr Who and Robin Hood and to the rest of it! My Christmas will be complete!

BTW, seeing Monsters Inc on as the Christmas film for children made me think. We have had Monsters Inc on DVD for years (in fact, it ws our first DVD!) and my children all know the story backwards. It has made me wonder if having DVDs has taken the magic out of the Christmas film these days. I can remember as a child waiting avidly to find out what BBC1 was showing after the Queen's Speech as it was always an amazing children's film we had never seen before...

My brother and i were talking and we both remember children's christmas cartoons being on the tv on Christmas Eve morning and Christmas morning. Why have they got three hours of breakfast on? Why not do a 10 minute news slot and then have cartoons, or a film, like White Christmas.
i also thought that Robin Hood was on Christmas day, but it doesn't appear to be! Maybe on Christmas Eve instead, i'll go and check.
