(Apologies to any French speakers and for lack of cedilla- hazy 'A' level French and an English keyboard) Grin

Looking forward to Monfils/Federer

Chardy is up for it.

Raahh · 01/06/2015 12:14

Don't envy you that!

Yes, lots of water. I know by the end of the week it will be easy. I am always rubbish on the first day. Plus, it's hard with the girls off, as they want to eat Grin

Brilliant couple of points there from Chardy- even though i really want the Rafa match on soon, I want this to be a good match. He has nothing to lose, and the crowd behind him. Plus, he's pissed off about Rome Grin

Good start, Chardy!

Ferrer winning first set against Cilic.

I'd like this to be a good match too. I'd actually like Chardy to win but not sure he'll be able - he should certainly be able to give Andy a good word out with any luck though.

JuanPotatoTwo · 01/06/2015 12:18

Work out, not word out. Is it 5 days the first phase of Harcombe?

JuanPotatoTwo · 01/06/2015 12:26

I've put the heating on - it's June for goodness sake Shock

Raahh · 01/06/2015 12:28

Yes, 5 days. I will be ok once I've got my head round the lack of toastGrin.

I didn't really lose much on it last time, but I felt much better. It's easier for dh, as he eats anything, whereas I don't eat meat, and eggs. So I eat a lot of fish and veg.

Oh, Allez Chardy!!

Roger already broken Monfils in their match. Come on Gael, give him a match.

What will you do after 5 days? I did Harcombe once about 5 years ago, I think I made it onto phase 2 but can't remember much other than that. Good luck - it will be a bit trickier if you don't eat eggs I guess. I went to Lidl this morning and, fool that I am, bought some pain au chocolate - for everyone else you understand. I have resisted thus far but I'm not optimistic - they smell lovely :(

Chardy needs to win in three if he's going to win - don't think he could outdo Andy over 5.

JuanPotatoTwo · 01/06/2015 12:37

Not much love lost between these two is there?

Raahh · 01/06/2015 12:40

I think I lasted about 6 weeks of phase 2- before I went to a party (think it was my sister's 40th, one of about a dozen parties she hadHmm ). I kept off what I lost really for a while.

I son't think they like each other much, Jezza and Muzza, no, Grin

OP posts:
JuanPotatoTwo · 01/06/2015 12:40

Chardy looks knackered already.

JuanPotatoTwo · 01/06/2015 12:45

6 weeks is excellent going. I knew someone who sounds like your sister - the celebrations for her 50th went on for ever, including 2 holidays.

I think Andy v Jeremy will be done before long.

Ooh did you see Rafa being cool and laid back then?!

Raahh · 01/06/2015 12:51

Oh yes, dsis went on a cruise, and NY. As well as all sorts of other things I can't remember/didn't get invited to couldn't have afforded to go either.

Dh was working all day, so we went to the local indian on my 40th. But the baby sitter was ill, so we had to take the dcs. Who were monstrous, so we bought it home as a takeaway.

My 40th was pants Grin

Raahh · 01/06/2015 12:53

Cool and laid back, that is a good way to be Rafa.

Come on Jezza. Take a set. Or a game . Or something.

Don't think the right Monfils came out todayGrin

They are being very nice about Chardy, Jim and Petch. Which makes a change from the usual bias.

Just been reading that when Gael approached the president of the French tennis federation yesterday it was to ask for a blanket. He had apparently already asked Carlos a couple of times but Carlos said no!

Raahh · 01/06/2015 12:56

Grin @ Monfils. He's a character.

Chardy would have won a lot more if he didn't keep double faulting.

Oh dear, your 40th sounds like it could have been better. Mine was pretty rubbish too, it began with an argument with Ds1, who was 11 at the time, and proceeded to be a day of mishaps. I spent most of it crying! At least I can remember it, which is more than I can say for my 30th.

Maybe Jim and Mark are afraid to be too biased against Chardy, being as he's French and they are in the middle of Paris :)

GrouchyKiwi · 01/06/2015 13:04

This Chardy fellow is rather pleasant to look at.

JuanPotatoTwo · 01/06/2015 13:12

He's not bad, I'll grant you. Not a patch on my Pot though :)

Raahh · 01/06/2015 13:15

Yes, I am bitter about my 40th for many reasons, but dh did his best (he'd started a new job, and with the exception of Christmas day, had worked 14 days straight).

I am definitely doing something for my 50th. Even if it means putting the dcs in kennels (though ds will be 19Shock the day before, maybe he can look after himself) Grin

I think Kim and Amelie are starting to resemble each other. That is not something I imagine either of them will want to hear.

Raahh · 01/06/2015 13:16

Juan yes, they are!

Is MN still slow, or is it my laptop? Can't get it to work at all on the phone.

JuanPotatoTwo · 01/06/2015 13:19

It is a bit slow I think. But it is at least loading which it wasn't earlier.
