Sexual assault

In England and Wales it is an offence to touch someone else with sexual intent if the other person has not consented to such touching and if the person carrying out the offence does not reasonably believe that the other person consented.

Exposure

England, Wales and Northern Ireland

It is an offence for someone to expose their genitals if they intend that someone else will see them and if they intend to cause that person (or persons) 'alarm or distress'.

It is not a crime to be naked in public but it is possible that a naked person could be arrested and charged with causing harassment, alarm or distress under the Public Order Act 1986 if they do not put some clothes on when a member of the public or a police officer asks them to do so.

Hertfordshire police have received complaints and are investigating.

@ AnneEyhtMeyer - I think you've mis-judged this thread, unmee.

I wasn't aware I was 'judging the thread' - I guess everyone else on here is happy that you're speaking for them?

Nice cut/paste BoreofWhabylon

Now - I've no doubt there will be many experts on Aaron's 'intent' on the thread.

Who is a victim of what?

With due regard to the laws of defamation and libel, the requirement for evidence, and for a crime to have happened in order for their to be an actual victim.

NoMoreLoser · 29/05/2015 17:34

Just found this thread, no one in rl watches so hope you don't mind if I join you all. :)

Wrt the Joel/Arron incident. Arron deserved to go. Joel looked totally uncomfortable and I think he was wandering around glancing at Arron because he didn't want to get into bed because he knew Arron would have pounced. Good riddance to him, sleazy little fucker.

I think Harriet's a definite gonner, Sinister. The twins look a bit precarious too.

If people are determined to characterize Joel as the 'victim' then of course I am guilty of victim blaming.
I prefer to think of it as examining all participants and assessing their behavior - I'm not 'blaming' anybody.

Unlike you, I haven't appointed myself judge and jury of all and sundry

By contrast I don't see Joel as the victim of anything but his own poor judgement - so I'm not blaming any victim but I am looking at the actions of one of the participants in a major fuck up.

Using the term 'victim blaming' is just a pathetic attempt to quash debate with it's implicit defining of Joel as a victim - I'm not convinced he would thank anyone for that reading of his character but no doubt you're the expert!

Anyway, another Mumsnet thread goes the usual route of the intellectually feeble - the black and white, moral taliban, gullible consumers of the bible of twitter ethics on hand to guide society

I'm done and I'm gone

I'll have a flick through Mill On Liberty and see what he has to say

Oh fuck it - I'll just see what the kids on Digital Spy are saying and form my judgement around that

After all - the kids know best eh?

Gumnast2014 · 29/05/2015 17:48

Did I just read online 4 in 4 out??

Tequilashotfor1 · 29/05/2015 17:54

Oooosh could that be the ticking time bomb?

NoMoreLoser · 29/05/2015 18:03

I really really hope Harriet goes. It's weird because I liked her for the first week but she is horrible.

I don't really have a favourite but Eileens top lip annoys me...why do people think that's a good look. It looks painful.

Fairenuff · 29/05/2015 18:06

Yep, 4 in 4 out. Harriet is bound to go surely?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 29/05/2015 18:06

Just looked at Oddschecker and the twins are favourite to go, and then Harriet, Kieran and Chloe, so yes, the showmance does seem to be working.

NoMoreLoser · 29/05/2015 18:13

I'm hoping the tide has turned with Harriet after the first week. Surely people are seeing the real her now.

Fairenuff · 29/05/2015 18:14

That's a lot of interviews to get through. Unless there's going to be a secret room.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 29/05/2015 18:19

What did Aaron do to Joel ? The camera cut away on the episode I watched, I think I record the daytime episode so it's often cut.

WienerDiva · 29/05/2015 18:34

Welcome back Dame! Hello NoMore!

That got a bit deep and heavy for a while didn't it Angry

Glad I missed it all house hunting! I think I'd have ended up reported BlushAngry

Can't wait for tonight!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 29/05/2015 18:42

Ignoring is the only way to go, Wiener!

Dame - he was flashing him and following him around the room with his dressing gown open, and (with the help of Harriet) he actually put his genitals on him. All the while, Joel was trying to get away, and telling him repeatedly to stop.

I cannot wait to see their faces when so many go. But I'm disappointed that Jade won't be going.

OP posts:
McButtonwillow · 29/05/2015 19:07

"As for McButton's post: He didn't seem traumatised to me, if it bothered him that much he could have been more forceful instead of wandering around the bedroom and constantly giving Aaron little glances.

^ I am totally shock at this. So telling Aaron repeatedly to stop while moving away from him wasn't forceful enough? Seriously? How forceful did you want him to be? As for the "little glances" - wasn't he just keeping an eye on him so he could move away again?

It is attitudes like this that make people scared to report sexual assaults. Joel is a virgin who has stated that he was not remotely attracted to Aaron. Aaron has tried to intimidate him and "prove" he is gay despite Joel telling him he is straight."

Without wanting to rehash this Anne I did say in my post that Aaron's behaviour wasn't acceptable. However as a viewer, when I was watching it last night I didn't get the feeling that Joel was as upset about it as he then went on to portray in the diary room, he seemed to be smiling, finding it funny initially although of course Aaron took it too far and deserved to be evicted.

Moving into tonight, I'm also hoping Harriet goes, she is just so LOUD all the time, can't wait to see their faces when they realise the nominated housemates are not up.

Only1scoop · 29/05/2015 19:26

Well I'm 3 nights astray.... not watched....no catch up other than thread so can see it's all been kicking off in there and need to get back on it.

Thought I'd check in with Pwb's to see what's been occurring and thought I'd found the wrong thread for a moment there.... with Judge Rinder residing.

I'm on the road en route back so will watch tonight on plus one.

FoxSticks · 29/05/2015 19:26

Poor old us, all intellectually feeble. To be fair we are all watching big brother. I don't know about you, but I don't tune in because it's high brow and intellectually stimulating.

Anyway, I doubt it would have gone as far as it did without everyone egging Aaron on. In the end bb had no choice but to boot him and they were right to do some

Really really hope jazz hands doesn't make a reappearance.

NoMoreLoser · 29/05/2015 19:43

One night of jazz hands was more than enough. I think if I was in the house with him I'd cut my ears off.
