given recent form, things look less than great for Nadal-but he likes the big stage and slams are a different beast to other tournaments.

So- new thread to talk ( mostly) about tennis- though it's not compulsory., and we all have different favourites and respect that others might not love our favourites as much as we do.

so...a week to go. May Murray be less tired, Rafa more confident , and a happy tournament be had by all.

It was a bit he got fed up and sat down mid way. He was out nearly an hour earlier though. He doesn't seem keen on long walks at the moment. Although he's now racing around the garden

We are practising recall. It's a good thing he is chipped and insured

Its quite warm here now. I usually take Lass out early morning & afternoon or evening.

Love winter walks. Detest this time of year/summer.

Lass will go for miles. She usually charges round the garden with the DC or chasing the dreaded pigeons.

Ike only has little legs. As do I. He is also very pull-y at the moment, so gets bored when I keep stopping him. He goes off like a train- panting away, after all of 5 seconds. He has yet to learn it would be more fun for everyone at a more reasonable pace. I'm looking forward to when he will walk for miles. It's one of the reasons I wanted a dog, as I don't leave the house unless I absolutely have to (depression)- not much choice with a pet! It's like therapy, with 4 legs

Is Gasquet quite little( in relative terms) or is Anderson very tall?

Our old boy was a nightmare. He used to be like Ike, would just decide he'd had enough and collapse. Depending on how far we'd got, I'm sure some of our neighbours thought I was mad for carrying a big husky puppy through the fields !

I think people think I'm daft for getting up early & walking the dogs. Always have done.

I love it, its the best time of day.

At least he's only little- so carrying him is not a problem. He makes me laugh.

Azarenka and Williams have the worst outfits- apart from Stan's shorts and the thing Venus was wearing.

I've just realised Azaranka is wearing the same top Shrieky had, only in pink and orange.

I prefer the blue and white.

She's winning, but the noise is getting on my nerves.

I'm missing something- Marion and Sam are talking as though Azarenka is about to throw this all away.

She is leading by a set and a breakThey are convinced Serena will still win this. Which she might, but they are really confusing me.

Hello all, I'm back :) Everything seems to be going to plan so far (well, not for Coric perhaps). I like Vika - glad to see she's leading at the minute. Oh - Serena just broken back in second set.

Looks like the complete bias towards Serena has worked- she's broken back.

I am getting annoyed by Marion and Sam and their Serena bias.
