given recent form, things look less than great for Nadal-but he likes the big stage and slams are a different beast to other tournaments.

So- new thread to talk ( mostly) about tennis- though it's not compulsory., and we all have different favourites and respect that others might not love our favourites as much as we do.

so...a week to go. May Murray be less tired, Rafa more confident , and a happy tournament be had by all.

I am just a lax parent and wife. Tennis takes precedence over feeding/clothing or cleaning my family.

They are used to it.

I'm organised again though- beef in the slow cooker, which dh can deal with. Football or no football.

Caught a bit of the end of the Djok match and happy that Murray is through.

Oh yes. My lot know come RG that's me till after the US really.

I'm organised and provide food etc. But don't ask me what's for dinner, just remind me to bung whatever's out to eat in the oven, heat and serve.

Washing & ironing ? Depending on whose playing when, you might have a wait. But I don't tend to do that too often, or the pile gets too tall. I try to do it once a week, only takes 1/2 hour, then its done.

Much was made of the very expensive engagement rings that Kim and Berdy's Fiancee had. I always think that Rafa is too focussed on tennis, and Xisca too normal, to care much about things like that. Xisca would probably get an engagement ring made of haribo, and get married on a fishing boat.

I suppose it depends a) if you want to wear one and b) if its comfortable and doesn't rub etc.

They have enough hand troubles & blisters without adding a rubbing ring into the mix.
