Emergency new thread as old one almost at the limit.

Settle in and start hoping that 6tl falls down a hole and takes AwfulNurse with her.

Charlie Lawson.Thanks that's him!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 08/07/2015 12:53

Yes, I'll be watching tonight, but it is generally fairly crap at the moment. Love Steve McDonald though, he's one of the best characters. Shame if he's a bit of an arse IRL.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 08/07/2015 18:32

I love Steve McDonald - but is his dad out of the big house now then?

I am still persevering with Corrie despite the atrocious "storylines" and acting. I think after tonight I may be tempted to give it a break for a bit.

I miss Doctors though.

Well I watched it on Tivo & fast forwarded the non Deidre bits. Who is that bald bloke with a beard who hugged Liz in the Rovers? Character wise & also his face looks familiar (?Brookside perhaps)

Thanks in advance. Smile

AnneEyhtMeyer · 08/07/2015 21:15

He is her new man - he works for the brewery and he is one of Leanne's ex clients and he apparently was violent.

As a Doctors fan I did appreciate Audrey's home visit to do Tracey-Luv's hair.

Thanks Anne
I, too, wondered about the home visit especially since the salon is just opposite! Truly a Doctors moment there.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 08/07/2015 22:08

The Health Centre on Corrie seems to have vanished again, maybe the patient list was as minimal as it is on Doctors. Wouldn't it be great if it came back to life and you got little cameos by Mrs T, or Heston.

toldmywrath · 09/07/2015 19:18

The other day they talked about whistles on Radio 2 & I immediately thought of Doctors (are the producers of Doctors intending a Pavlovian response I wonder? Grin)
Anyway I'm enjoying the tennis, but missing my daily weekday fix of Heston & co.

cinnamongreyhound · 10/07/2015 21:51

Haven't watched any tennis but made it unscathed (other than being knackered) through week one of being super busy!

toldmywrath · 10/07/2015 22:35

Only another week of no Doctors! Take a break for an hour or two if you can this weekend cinnamon.

Raahh · 10/07/2015 22:46

Well the school summer fair was AWFUL. For many, boring reasons. Not least the fact sports day was before it, and we were told it started 40 minutes before it didAngry.I was hot, annoyed and tired when the fair finally started. And ws quite embarrassed by the grown women getting into a tizz over Simon Gregson Hmm.

i miss Doctors Sad (And I love the tennis, but i still miss it).

At least Murray lost - hurrah!Grin- can watch a match that is not ruined by really biased commentary. Even if i now don't care who wins...

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 10/07/2015 22:51

I'd forgotten about the tennis, I've just got back from our school summer fair too (well, about an hour ago, but been sat outside chatting with DH). No slebs at ours, but it was the first time it hasn't rained for about 3 years and it made such a difference, it was a lovely evening. Sorry yours was a bit crap Raahh I may well have been one of those women. Did Charlie Lawson turn up and drink the beer tent dry?

toldmywrath · 11/07/2015 08:03

Shame on you Raahh for cheering up coz Murray lost. I had to stop watching after the first 2 sets because I couldn't bear seeing him losing. So I walked the dog and as I came in the very last shot was being played. Sad

toldmywrath · 11/07/2015 08:06

Funny how he polarizes opinions. I really like Roger & I admire Novak's grit. So I'll decide as I'm watching who I want to win????

AnneEyhtMeyer · 11/07/2015 11:26

I can't watch Wimbledon since the commentary became the Andy Murray Fan Club. Delighted he is out.

OP posts:
cinnamongreyhound · 11/07/2015 17:40

I can't take to him but at the end of the day he's British so I would rather he won.

Raahh · 11/07/2015 17:57

Charlie Hewson turned up, as did Gregson. I saw them from a distance , as was dealing with an incredibly rude woman, who thought being mean to 4 year olds made her look 'hard' Angry

Several of the parents were all ' oh my goddd ! I'm so excited' Hmm They were embarrassing.

Raahh · 11/07/2015 18:04

Anyway, I have cinnamon flavoured vodka- with gold bits. I am drinking it with appletiser and it takes like liquid Apple pie. Mmmm.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 11/07/2015 18:11

I have still not watched any tennis, but I like both Federer and Murray,

toldmywrath · 12/07/2015 09:46

Mmm cinnamon vodka. I bought a bottle of the strawberry Pimms whilst on holiday-it's lovely (& cheap as there is a price war on)
Smile WhoKnows -what about Novak Djokovic ? He is a bit robotic I think but I do admire him .

cinnamongreyhound · 13/07/2015 17:25

The link?!?!? Hardly a great replacement today Sad

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 13/07/2015 17:55

Neutral about Djokovic, I wanted Federer to win yesterday. I was also eying up thd strawberry Pimms in the supermarket yesterday.

When does Doctors start again?

cinnamongreyhound · 13/07/2015 18:50

Next week Sad

I don't like strawberry flavoured things (love strawberries) so wouldn't try the pimms!

toldmywrath · 13/07/2015 21:34

I don't like chocolate cake but I love chocolate (especially Galaxy & Cadbury's-altho' I think the CDM has changed flavour somewhat)so I get where you're coming from cinnamon

toldmywrath · 13/07/2015 21:35

Why haven't they got Doctors on this week-is it in case Wimbledon overran due to rain delays do you think?
