Old thread here. This is copied and pasted from there.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT***

Next episode is Easter Monday at 8.30pm (for an hour). This is the start of knockout week.

Then:
Wednesday 8pm-9pm
Thursday 8pm-9pm
Friday 8.30pm-9pm

They start the week with 12, lose one a night and at the end of Friday they're down to 8.

Then just to confuse us even more they put an episode on a Sunday (12th April) 7.30-8pm.
Monday 13th 8pm-9pm.

That's as far as the BBC website shows at the moment. That's semi-final week so presumably the finals are the following week.

Feeling the love for Simon here too. Is Mrs Simon on MN?

Givenotake · 16/04/2015 23:23

Hold the phone... Simon is straight? I shan't believe it.

Also Paul - otter ears GENIUS, so true

Jacana · 17/04/2015 00:05

When we first saw Sarah-with-the blusher, all round faced and rosy cheeked, she reminded me of a Russian babushka. I've a set of Russian dolls and they look just like herSmile

Davros · 17/04/2015 00:17

I saw Jackie last year at local food fair, leaning out of her street food van with Matt Folas. What a success!

Newbiecrafter · 17/04/2015 00:34

Hurrah! I found you all.

I haven't read the whole thread but what is the difference between a rocher and a quenelle? From a fe episodes ago, but it's making me ponder and I could google it but would rather ask here.

Hoping its on on Friday.

Is anyone watching my kitchen rules on skyliving? cookery programme mad I am

squoosh · 17/04/2015 00:42

We think a quenelle is for untalented losers who need to use two spoons whereas a rocher is for the super talented who just use the one spoon.

Jacana · 17/04/2015 00:45

crafter I'm not sure and it sounds daft but I think a richer is a quenelle made with just one spoon instead of using two?

And then there's the Ferrero type, of courseGrin

I've not got Sky btw.

Jacana · 17/04/2015 00:46

Snap squoosh

Newbiecrafter · 17/04/2015 10:48

Aaah. Thankyou. Still none the wiser, esp as in the last series I remember greg getting excited that someone had made a one handed quenelle. Maybe the wank police decided that they needed a new word.

And ferrero rocher are a very tricky skill to master. Especially the peeling off the top nutty layer and then scoffing the rest. I bet non of the masterchef contestant could do that with a box of em. Grin

We don't have sky either, but sky living is on Virgin media. It's a good show, full of lots of extreme character and I am hooked. Can't cook to save my life, but am an expert at watching. Blush

Davros · 17/04/2015 11:11

I watched My Kitchen Rules on Virgin last year with Lorraine Pascal and Jason Atherton. Is there a new UK one?
I also can't cook but expert viewer and eater!

Newbiecrafter · 17/04/2015 13:58

Hey Davross. Another MKR viewer. Yayyy!

I'm watching the Australian one and got hooked on Alastair years one. It is very entertaining. There are some real idiots characters on it. You can get it on catch up on Virgin if you have that.

I never watched the UK one.

Newbiecrafter · 17/04/2015 13:59

Hooked on Last years one. Don't know who Alastair is. Blush

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 17/04/2015 20:24

All ready for tonight? I assume we're going to see a couple more sent home so there will be four going into the finals and one poor sod gets sent away at the end of the first programme next week. Then the last three get to go and play with smoke and microherbs and so forth somewhere on the Continent. Grin

I'm here and I have quiche. Suck on that super tasters.

Halsall · 17/04/2015 20:31

Evening. I missed last night so no idea what's going on, but they all seem to be still there...

fourquenelles · 17/04/2015 20:32

I'm here. Hope this is a good one, I usually find the 30 min episodes disappointing

squoosh · 17/04/2015 20:35

I really wish Gregg wouldn't say 'I'm excited'. Gives me bad thoughts.

Halsall · 17/04/2015 20:36

Octopus and pineapple?

Floopledoop · 17/04/2015 20:37

Love Paul, hope he's got his reassuring clams at the ready!
