I think they'll do their best to resolve Athos and Milady next season, but Athos does actually have to say something with his voice for once and not just his eyes or mouth.

Queeny was fantastic in the last couple of episodes. Loved her quiet courage and determination. And when she told Roquefort she never thought of him I might have fistpumped the air .

Milady freeing Aramis "this isn't an escape, it's a rescue" was fab, and Connie with her sass back. They did good by the women characters for the finale.

And his nostrils Issy, don't forget that nostril flare thing he does.

Chaise - that was a brilliant line. I have loved Queenie this series. I thought she was brilliantly restrained when Rochefort was telling her how he was going to torture Aramis.

I think her and Aramis finished basically at the Convent last week when she said she would never regret it.

The romance element for next season will be interesting given, Constangnan are now official, Milathos have basically admitted their love etc - them actually getting it together won't add more than we have had this season I don't think and Annamis are over. I guess as has been mentioned maybe it is Porthos' turn, I liked Alice - maybe they can bring her back.

I have been job hunting as my contract is pretty much up. Have a second interview pending, an interview at a newspaper next week and an internal one on the go. Can all wenches cross their fingers and toes that I get the internal one please. It is looking positive but still.

I have been MNetting all day long when I am supposed to be supervising children whilst writing some coherent dissertation words and now wish I was writing about early modern France and I could justify my procrastination.

And because I love you all and have been missing for ages I will just illustrate the sexy smoking, reignite that memory for those who remember it.
