That episode of Poldark was really rather break taking wasn't it... Still feeling a bit flustered about the whole shirtless hey collecting!

I might have to watch it again before next week, you know, just to keep the storyline fresh in my mind!

Nickel45 · 23/03/2015 09:06

I'll be watching poldark tonight then!
This morning off to brunch at brasserie blanc!! Get me! But what to wear?

pixieg1rl · 23/03/2015 09:27

I really hope the tele box remembered to record Poldark. Not least so I can understand what you're all going on about.

cjwoofwoof · 23/03/2015 10:31

Morning! Yes Poldark sure was a sizzler last night and I'm pleased to report that Darkie was ridden very hard as usual. Shame about Prudie being incapacitated I knew that half-eaten apple left on the floor of my stable would be a trip hazard And my oh my I did enjoy the chopping scene. My DH wanted to know how come Demelza needed help to get out of her dress when she'd managed to get in it...doh!! Poor love is so naive Confused

icemistOBE · 23/03/2015 11:02

There's a storyline in Poldark?? I was watching the shirtless bit and got sidetracked

cjwoofwoof · 23/03/2015 11:13

Do concentrate ice or you'll miss the vital bit in the story where Darkie accidentally kicks Prudie into the midden, which is overflowing and still waiting to be emptied, and she's covered head to toe in sh...dirty stuff. Meanwhile Ross grinds Darkie urgently so he can get back to the field and finish that topless chopping

Hello everyone, I fell off this thread a long time ago, but my CJ obsession continues and I regularly check back to see if you're all still going strong (and you are, of course). Had to delurk for a moment after reading about the hand twirling which I had noticed and "appreciated"! It seems not to have been mentioned that he does it twice, once in Ep 2, and again in episode 4 when he's leading the section out to the bridge to ID Badrai. Anyone else noticed that one? Just in case icemist wanted to do another clip, or in any case another bit for us to look out for and lust over. Anyway that was all, and thanks everyone for keeping this thread going and maintaining the standards of wit and QS in your banter that we have all come to know and love!

Rhubarb01 · 23/03/2015 11:42

Morning! woof and orphan I am beginning to think of you two as the French and Saunders of this thread. You are comedy gold! Just imagine what Dawn and Jennifer would make of Poldark if they were still doing their sketch show - I don't think they could better your take on it.

Onlygirljen · 23/03/2015 12:26

Hi firegirl! I'm so glad you said that, I knew there was another hand twirl but couldn't for the life of me remember when it was! Confused

Nickel45 · 23/03/2015 13:20

Hi fire nice spot .... But did mean I had to watch ep 4 instead of doing any house work!!

icemistOBE · 23/03/2015 13:22

Ooh I shall check out ep 4 too. That can be 2 different vids I think Grin
Thanks firegirl

Afternoon all. Had a manic weekend and haven't yet managed to watch Poldark. Am still slightly in shock at the AT pic icemist posted yesterday. A quick glance at the way he's gripping his scythe or whatever it is and the expression on his face led me to believe it was something quite else he had firm hold of...Blush

Obviously too much reading ahead of the Poldark scripts cos Prudey is very familiar with how he handles his tools. In fact there is an entire episode (ep 658 I believe) devoted to tool maintenance in which Prudey shows Ross how to oil and keep them in good working order. Unfortunately, poor Darkie is once again under the weather. This time her fetlocks have actually locked rendering her immobile. No riding for Darkie for at least 28 episodes...

Speighty33 · 23/03/2015 13:52

Afternoon ladies. OK who saw Poldark last night - sweet jesus AT's body in that scene, I nearly fell off the sofa. BA will always be number 1, but oh my lord, sunday evenings have just got a little brighter :)

orphan · 23/03/2015 13:58

About to watch Poldark now. It had better live up to expectations. And they're quite high.Grin

Onlygirljen · 23/03/2015 14:03

Oh orphan you will not be disappointed! Enjoy!

icemistOBE · 23/03/2015 14:05

Wait for Exhibit A - will be searching later for a clip to share

cjwoofwoof · 23/03/2015 15:14

orphan hope you haven't had too many palpitations watching last nights Poldark. Just had a quick glimpse, ok a long lingering leer, at icemists pic from earlier of the topless chopping shot and it took me a minute to focus up and see that what he was holding was indeed simply a wooden scythe handle. Oh my word I need a sit down and a waft with something wafty.

cjwoofwoof · 23/03/2015 15:21

I think anybody's fetlocks would be under the weather after 658 episodes of very hard grinding orph so poor Darkie will be due a well earned rest. Of course Ross will gently wash Darkie down and stroke her thick mane whilst feeding her carrots dipped in his own rum as she nuzzles his neck with her whiskery lips. Back in the house Prudey's boils are being lanced with a rusty sheep shearing knife by Judd. Such a shame there was no anesthetic in 1780.

Onlygirljen · 23/03/2015 15:31

Not the whole scene, but still - sweet jesus

cjwoofwoof · 23/03/2015 15:41

Nice one jen - stuff that dreams are made of. Suddenly Sunday nights are a lot more interesting...

Speighty33 · 23/03/2015 16:04

stick BA's face on that body and you have the stuff of dreams!!

orphan · 23/03/2015 16:25

woof I knew I could count on you to see what I meant when I first looked at that topless pic. Is that the usual way of holding a scythe handle? (And the usual facial expression?)

Well, have managed to survive watching the actual episode. I agree he is quite buff, but he still doesn't quite hit the spot for me in the same way an even fully clothed CJ does. I still prefer CJ's leaner longer body. AT's too caveman like.

Prudey however loves a lot bit of Neanderthal and Ross just goes mad for the way she drags him round by his curls and the hair on his head before rewarding him with a bite of her pasties.

BK28 · 23/03/2015 16:36

Caught Poldark last night but had trouble taking it seriously as the marvellous banter between -cjwoof and orphan kept coming to mind!!

Anyway have to agree nice bod but having issues with the wild hair - speighty I'm in agreement with you re BA!

ice can you say where the middle shot is taken from... couldn't work out the background? Was it one of the promo pictures?

Ilovelblue · 23/03/2015 17:18

orphan I watched it last night, along with half the female population I think, but AT doesn't float my boat at all. It's CJ all the way for me. He does indeed resemble a caveman!

Speighty33 · 23/03/2015 18:08

All this adoration for BA and he chooses to bugger of to the US to do some cheesier than cheese tripe! Silly silly boy
