nickel, I hope work has calmed down. I know what it's like to do those kind of hours long term, it zaps you in the end. Hope you are having a break.

Also wondering where woof is (hope she's not trapped in her downstairs Hoover cupboard red room). Come back to us woof!

Do I really have to say goodbye to CJ tomorrow?! He's really making himself comfortable in his environment. I haven't let him put his shirt back on after this afternoon, but he seems cool with that GrinGrin

Jen that latest chapter was amazing. Not sure what I can say that hasn't been said already, except that was clearly written from the heart. I loved, loved, loved it.

Sorry to drag CJ away from you but it was his second stay with you and it is very clear he has helped to free your writer's block, given the chapter you have just published.

Painted, do you realise you get six whole nights with CJ? You and BK will make sure he has his passport with him for his trip to Amsterdam, won't you? Actually, it's only five nights as you will have to have him awake, washed, dressed and packed up for 6am at the very latest for his trip to the airport so an interrupted night's sleep I would think.

rhubarb your latest chapter is brilliant if not frustrating!!!!! your writing is superb, I love it.

Jen a very emotional chapter from you. I had a tear when I read it. I had an early baby, not at 21 weeks though, 32wks, But it was scary enough with a lot of worry as he was a tidler (6ft now!!!). Such beautiful writing and CJ was totally perfect in the situation,just how we would all imagine him to be.

Thanks ladies for your lovely words, I must confess to a little tear or two when writing it all down. rich you would have had it much more difficult than me, after that initial scary experience at a very early stage, mine stayed put until nearly 36 weeks. Hilariously, he was born tiny but is now at the top of all of the growth percentile charts.

painted don't worry there'll be plenty to come. CJ has a rather focused skillset in that particular area, he's obviously been trained very well Grin

Morning all - painted that's amazing!

Brilliant update from rhubarb, I'm sad it has to come to an end though! Is anybody else having problems with not getting emails re ff updates? I nearly missed spo's most recent update because of it, and only knew lola and rhubarb had new chapters from reading it on here rather than getting the email.

CJ is still in bed this morning, he needed a bit of recovery time from last night I'm afraid. He might not be in the best of condition by the time you get him painted Blush

jen just reread your chapter and admired the way you had drawn on your own r/l experience. ..Surely every expectant mum's worst nightmare. Thanks for sharing!! Loved the sensitivity in your portrayal of CJ!

Am now joining the late to work brigade thanks to rhub for that much needed update...can they make any more of a hash of getting it together. Love the way you are adding the possibility of someone else trying to match make for CJ into the mix plus a sleazeball in Kevin !!

jen I'm not getting email updates either. I thought it was my rubbish email playing up but it must be a fault on their site. It only seems to be happening today though.

Thanks for the comments ladies. I've really enjoyed writing this story, more than the other three to be honest but I don't want to drag it out for too long.

Oh, BK I noticed the river bed and minefield on BS42 as well. I really quite like the new ATO and the chemistry but I get the feeling its all drawing to a close. The colonel is comedy gold in that. I absolutely love him (in a comedy sense, of course!)

Have to agree with you there rhub what with RL draw down! Not sure where else they can take it! But while the Lt.col.is pure comedy, Towerblock minus shirt was looking quite appealing at least until ds went isn't that Neville from HP...I was trying to get past that one!!

Painted we could have all our different accounts of CJ's tour on the website and maybe our AGM agenda, nominations for the wrestling etc?

Has CJ turned up yet? Wouldn't be surprised if BK has whisked him off somewhere to have her wicked way with him, when really, he is supposed to be resting. Was he flying down here or was she driving?

I was just thinking before that if somebody just stumbled across our thread, nearly six months after the programme finished and not having read threads 1-14, what on earth would they think? I wonder if TG ever thought it would have such a profound effect long term?

Just have to say rhubarb that your fear of 'dragging out' your story is completely unfounded. I would be very happy to have more chapters or maybe a long epilogue after the happy ending! Can you tell I can't get enough of your writing? Smile

Pixie was that a challenge or a complaint? Problem is I probably can't win whatever I choose to do so I'll just have to stick with the plan! The epilogue is a possibility orphan although it might not be ready immediately after the last chapter. I'll think on.

Another suggestion for the naked fireside wrestling what about John Hamm/Don Draper (Mad Men)? I am about to take delivery of a box set of series 1-6 (I was thoroughly annoyed when Sky bought it as I haven't got that and I've only seen the first 3/4 series on BBC4 - so I'm way behind - just an aside)

ilove no panic delivered safely...due to sunnier weather treated CJ to the e type with his the top off.Definitely a gentle ride to painted towers! Lots of slow country lanes on the approach so no need to rush...CJ arrived very relaxed!!!
