Here we are again. Grab a Beardy Fucker, pull up a chaise and LetUs (nto) all fall into a drunken stupor.

Start as we mean to go on.

Watching Real housewives of Beverly Hills, a loooot of plastic Confused

MadamedeChevreuse · 13/03/2015 19:48

Just posting here this lovely, tavern-appropriate Terry Pratchett quote that I just saw on tinternet:

“‘I meant,’ said Ipslore bitterly, ‘What is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?” Death thought about it. Cats, he said eventually. Cats are nice.”

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 13/03/2015 19:50

No, BBC. You are NOT selling the 'missing Musketeers' thing to me by putting on Mr Fucking Bean Angry

Dermot, OTOH.....

Baddz · 13/03/2015 19:54

The bbc can FTFO

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 13/03/2015 20:00

Madame Love that Smile

FancyFancy · 13/03/2015 20:05

helen you make an excellent point. To do justice to the uniforms we need videos for all 4 of them. And Treville. It's the least the BBC could do after pissing us about so much this season.

I like that quote madame, but can't help thinking that Death hasn't been woken from a sex dream by one of his cats barfing on his bedroom carpet Angry

FancyFancy · 13/03/2015 20:06

you can have Dermott sparks

They had Capaldi on Comic Relief a few minutes ago

IssyStark · 13/03/2015 20:15

Oooh they look lovely issy. I wouldn't mind if you parked in my drive

Speaking of cats, I'm trying to persuade Mr Mouse to let us rehome a cat. Toddlermouse is obsessed with them, we actually have to visit my in laws (more frequently than I'd like) to see their cats. In particular a lovely big grey tom who mil handreared and is ridiculously friendly and tolerant. And he loves the O2 'be more dog' cat.

So cat wenches, how old were your kids when you got your cats?

FancyFancy · 13/03/2015 20:33

Mine were 8 and 10. They'd grown up with a dog so were pretty confident around pets. It didn't take too long for them to learn cats aren't as biddable as dogs Grin.

Enormouse · 13/03/2015 20:37

The grey tom is pretty special. He has my big dog and dps collie for company so he thinks he is a dog. I'd have to find one just like him, I think - big chunky hand reared, used to young children cat.

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 13/03/2015 20:38

I'm in for KTQ if that's the plan

FancyFancy · 13/03/2015 20:47

He sounds wonderful mouse. Rescue centres can often give some background info on a cat which can help match you up with a suitable one. I think the main advice for a house with children in is to have somewhere the cat can escape to if they want. They love to be high up, so ours often sleep on the DC's high sleeper beds, and sometimes on the top of DS's wardrobe.

Excellent sparks. Anyone else?

IssyStark · 13/03/2015 20:52

mouse I'd park in your drive whenever I got the chance Wink

Onto cats: I was 3yo when I turned my big eyes on mum, and more to the piont my dad who is not an animal person, so we adopted the stray who turned up on our doorstep.

Would love to get a cat here but we've got 5 to one side, 3 to the other and about a dozen more with a three door radius (terraced and backing gardens). I really don't think it would be fair to drop an animal into that, it would probably turn neurotic within the week Sad

AnneOfAramis · 13/03/2015 20:54

The thread has probably moved on loads, but if we move because we can't afford in excess of £1m for a reasonably sized house we are going to go Sparkle's way or Bristol/Bath.

mouse re parking comment: because obv. That would mean I'd be back in the home of tayto crisps, decent black pudding and Morelli's ice-cream sundaes Wink
