My day didn't quite go to plan as I got a call from my sister at 10.30...by bil had a stroke this morning.
He is 38.
Have been at the hospital all day as mum had an appt this afternoon.
Just back.

Aw Bads big hugs. I know this won't help right now but my dad had a stroke at 40 on an island without a hospital and whilst it was awful and hard for a long time, now he can do a lot of what he used to. Cxxx

He seems ok iyswim. He can walk and he knows what we are saying, but he can't say what he means to say which is obv very frustrating for him.
He is having an MRI and mra tomorrow to get a better idea of the damage.
Mum is ok.
She has had a ring fitted and if that doesn't work it will be an op.
All in all I think I am done for today.

House is pretty much unpacked. Nothing where I want it yet though. It's going to need redecorating throughout, but we're starting with getting the chimneys lined so we can use the fires, installing a wood burner and getting the sash windows restored/double glazed.....hopefully I will then be able to make it through next winter without resorting to donning my RAB jacket in the living room. Honestly I've not been so cold for so long, my shoulders are permanently up somewhere near my ears!
