I'm torn about Awfulnurse. She is pretty, and she sounds exactly like a relative I am very fond of (who is from Birmingham). But she is really annoying.

The MP/wife/other woman thing was all a bit Agatha Christie really, with Heston as Poirot.

I guessed the women were in it together but not that the wife was pregnant. Why didn't she just leave him? She didn't have to bring up a child making her think it was ok to turn a blind eye. Heston offering to do a pregnancy test when do Drs ever offer a pregnancy test?!?
