Fancy I had thought they had written her as a bit of an old maid character, who'd finally made it to Court, given I doubt they'd entrust the Dolphin to a teenager.

I think the costume for her in this episode is rather interesting as well in that is is so much darker and the neckline is less than flattering, it's less nipped in that everyone else and actually looks more Edwardian than 17thC French (not that the women's costume are in any way historically accurate).
