Kat is so self-sabotaging and infuriating. She didn't need to take the twins with her.
She is horrible to so many people, particularly those lacking in confidence, such as Tamwar (whom she bullies) and the nursery worker.
I do think the writers have mummy issues, so many of the storylines revolve around absent mums, abandonment, unplanned pregnancy, denial...

It's annoying that they can't show the realities of working single mum without turning her into a drinker

I agree Zombie, all of a sudden too. Kat, Mo and Stacey were managing after a fashion and now it's chaos, misery and binge drinking because Tommy had a stomach bug. They could show the grind without instant drama. They could be more subtle and still entertain.

Where was Lily? Mo dropped Kat's kids off with her in the pub at some point after the market closed & then we saw Stacey roll in later on. I can get my head around her having been at school during the nursery drama but who was looking after her after that? Even after school clubs wouldn't still be open then!

Kat isn't really acting out of character really when she can't cope she turns into a selfish drunk she infuriates me expecting everybody else to be responsible for her

If tommy was sick then the nursery wouldn't have him sitting painting with other kids / he would be in the sick bay/in bed laying down away from other kids

Kat would have signed a policy stating if kids sick then pick up asap and not bring Tommy back there for 48hrs. Also they would pay fees upfront - so saying you won't get paid is silly. And if I were the nursery girl I would have said find somewhere else

And who had the twins?? Where they at nursery as well? How the hell does she pay 3 kids fees at nursery? Tommy may get 15hrs free

While the Current episodes have stagnated and aren't moving forward, i've been catching up on the first year which the BBC has put on Youtube.

I have to say I'm really shocked at how racist Dot was originally, there are things like (Warning: contains things that are offensive), where she's writing poison pen letters to the Local shop keeper, I can't believe the BBC found acceptable to air at 7:30.

The current episodes will move on soon. They're currently at the stage where they had to film scenes without the cast knowing who the killer was. Hence so much focus again on the Carters and Sharon.

I was hoping there would be some kind of behind the scenes info on what was filmed when.

But why has Linda's hair gone back to that horrible scraped back style, it makes her look like Mick's mother! She isreally attractive: she looked way better/younger with it styled more softly as per last few eps. I also dont get Nancy's image at all, tho i think we are supposed to typecast her/see it as shorthand for her as 'the tomboy'. I think it does her a dis service as she is a great actress they should use more and get more out of . She seems very peripheral.
