Forgetting about Lucy's murder for a bit...

Stacey and Kat were outside talking about the burnt out house, then Stacey went into the Vic asking for 'strong men'. So tomorrow they pull down the boards from the front of the burnt out house, and discover Nick's body, 30 years to the day since the first episode when Reg Cox's body was found.

I like all the references to the past.

Purse was found at the allotments where Jay and Ben buried it. Nothing to do with Patrick as far as I can see.

I thought Stacey wanted strong men to help her humpf Kat home because she was so pissed.

One of the interviews I was reading on digital spy said something to the effect that they were going to recreate the first episode down to the tiny details including using sound effects from the original, I also watched the first episode on iPlayer and they have Nick in an identical position to reg Cox. That's definitely a part I'm looking forward to seeing them do

Ooh yes, watch the first episode on iplayer if you can, it's very interesting how sone things have changed and some not - inside the Vic for instance. Reg Cox was an old drunk who'd not been seen for three days leading up to the first ep who is found near death in his flat. Dr Legg (square's gp) receives a call which seems to suggest that there was some suspicious about his body.

Reg cox was the old man in the very first episode who was killed by Nick Cotton. He was found in the same place where nick is.

On the 'BBC Eastenders page the cast are asked who did it and the most popular suspect is Ian. There are also interviews asking where they were on Good Friday. Hasn't helped me decide tho.

Didn't Ian act really genuinely shocked when the police came to tell him Lucy had died? Jane didn't so much. Maybe it's still Jane. Maybe it's Jane and Ian together who did it?

Am glad they're doing a flashback episode hopefully it won't leave any gaps.

I think the flashback is defiantly needed, there would be no way to actually tell the full story just by dialogue without completely messing it up
