Loved the programme I wish it was a series. I thought it was extremely interesting when Skyla had the choc, 5 pieces and there were 5 children. The turmoil was written all over her face then along comes chiam and just snatches it anyway! Loved how Jessica was comforting her afterwards. Loved jayda and Christian but Jessica stole it for me"stop phoning me Richard" bet mum was embarrassed.
Love that age preschool and reception best couple of years.

AppleYumYum · 11/02/2015 01:41

Jayda was just adorable, I want a little Jayda! Grin Chaim was a big personality, I hope he mellows.

I started off liking Skyla although felt sad for Jessica trying so hard to befriend her, but I put that down to the comment from her parents about Skyla getting along with adults better. It was when they were reunited and she was lying on some seats with Jessica that she seemed deliberately cruel beyond her years, saying she didn't remember Jessica etc.

I thought Jessica's response when Skyla said she didn't remember her was very mature 'oh well, luckily you remember my name'

I was surprised how grown up a lot of their speech was, I can't imagine my ds2 talking like that, he still seems like my baby despite being nearly that age!

notsogoldenoldie · 11/02/2015 08:31

My fave was Christian, I think. He seemed to have integrity beyond his years, and I loved the way he went back and finished the den even though there was nothing ti play for. Intrigued by the way the 'quieter' personalities completed the den task and the "bigger" personalities didn't: it would be interesting to see if this follows through as the kids develop. (overthinks).

macnab · 11/02/2015 09:41

Oh so glad to see a thread on this, I recorded it as was out and then stayed up late watching it!

I loved Christian, he reminds me so much of my own DS, I can definitely see him being a policeman when he's grown up! Loved the "please stop!" when Chaim was trying to take the chair off the other little guy, as a previous poster said, I'd love if my DC could use that phrase instead of just crying or saying nothing

Skyla was very mature imo, way beyond her years. Even her closing comment of "I don't want to grow up" was quite a mature reflection. She was quite mean when Jessica and Jayda were playing together, saying "I hate princesses", and when Jessica was trying desperately to get her to play and pulled something out of a box she just cut her dead saying "I hate pink things" I also loved Jessica's retort to her when she claimed she didn't remember her "luckily you remembered my name though" Grin But I think she'll be ok because she's beautiful so people will like that and she's very smart so will be able to manipulate people and situations to get what she wants. I'm not so sure about Chaim, he didn't seem as smart as Skyla, I really hope they are able to channel his energy into better things as he grows otherwise he'll end up in a heap of trouble

So interesting, of course we're at the mercy of editors but still I enjoyed it so much.

ChoochiWoo · 11/02/2015 11:05

Watching this now , uneasy of the whole concept ..brave parents inviting the world to criticise their kids. That lass on the phone Shock Shock

eddiemairswife · 11/02/2015 12:08

The dominant ones not co-operating with each other reminded me of our politicians - a bunch of adults so convinced they are right that they won't listen to anyone else.

florentina1 · 11/02/2015 12:41

I know that I am being incredibly nosey, but I would love to know the story behind "your not the dad".

natureplantar101 · 11/02/2015 13:38

Me and Dp were laughing at the dad thing when Jessica was on the phone Grin i reckon Jeremy kyle has been on while she was in the room ?

ithoughtofitfirst · 11/02/2015 14:34

Pissed myself laughing at that bit!

Jemmathorne123 · 11/02/2015 20:24

I hope Moshe and Tiffany are proud of the nasty bully they have failed to teach properly

velourvoyageur · 11/02/2015 20:28

Chaim was not a nasty bully! He made her a card with a rabbit on it because that's Skyla's favourite animal....I thought that was so sweet. He thought about it and made her a card specially. That made me warm to him so much.

natureplantar101 · 11/02/2015 20:39

Chaim isn't a bully he is just very lively and uncontrolled by his parents he is a 4 yr old with no boundaries at home and doesn't realise being bossy and pushy isn't right because his parents haven't taught him that.

Jemmathorne123 · 11/02/2015 20:44

Possibly wrong choice of words calling Chaim a bully. My comments were aimed at his parents. I agree with natureplanter101.

threepiecesuite · 11/02/2015 21:14

I didn't get this - were they all pre-schoolers? So some of them age 3 presumably, as it was filmed across the year?

There's no way Chaim could write that apology card. And he seemed to expect Skyla to be able to read it?

Did anyone watching think their DC would have eaten the chocolate cake?
I let my DD who is 4 watch it - she was gripped. Her eyes went very wide at the poor behaviour from Chaim.

agree with macnab about Skylar's maturity! I thought "wow" when she said that she didn't want to grow up, she IS mature.

Thought that Jessica and I probably wouldn't have gotten along at school unfortunately, she was a bit big headed already. Although "sharing is caring" was sweet, it was only because she got what she wanted out of the situation, and was ensuring that should Skylar get any more, she too would get some.

quite like Chaim's name

Haggisfish · 11/02/2015 22:54

Oooh I've recorded it-amarking place to see what you all thought when I've watched it!
