OK, I've now got a very dubious fantasy in my mind of CJ and me playing at tea rooms! I'd be the waitress (frilly apron, suggestive licking of pencil whilst taking his order etc) and he'd be the customer who ends up with cream all over himself, which of course would need licking wiping off... I really fancy a cream tea now.

orphan · 21/02/2015 16:06

I think we've discovered a new euphemism...

Ilovelblue · 21/02/2015 16:31

Ooooh, just checking in and I have to say I love afternoon teas but could definitely think of them in a more suggestive way!

Had a lovely morning. Picked up my Mum's remodelled wedding ring which I am now wearing. I think she'd be pleased that I am wearing it. Then I had a manicure both to set off the ring and in preparation for our weekend away tomorrow. Came home and watched Bluestone 42 over lunch. It didn't end quite as humorously as I expected! Those of you who have watched it before - is there to be another series?

Off to clean the kitchen now and then pack my suitcase. Mustn't forget my camera either!!

moojangles · 21/02/2015 16:47

ilove know what you mean about bluestone, allegedly a third series. Have a fab time, I'll wave as you drive by!
cherin congrats

Nickel45 · 21/02/2015 16:48

Yes another series starting in March, will send link to trailer when I get home xx

cjwoofwoof · 21/02/2015 16:49

Yep Ilove new series of BS42 "coming soon to BBC3" so maybe sometime in March hopefully.

I'm liking orphans scenario of a cream tea with CJ. Perhaps we could all calm down after the naked wrestling at the AGM with a nice sophisticated cream tea, including crumpet

Ilovelblue · 21/02/2015 16:50

mooj no need to wave. I'll be picking CJ up from you remember! I hope you've not exhausted him totally. You could have afternoon tea ready for us if you like!

moojangles · 21/02/2015 16:51

Was hoping you'd forgottenGrin

Ilovelblue · 21/02/2015 16:57

No such luck mooj. Anyway, I want to see that neighbour of yours you've mentioned in his low slung combats etc!

moojangles · 21/02/2015 16:59

It was jeans today.Grin
Some great cream teas available nearby too-one each?!

cjwoofwoof · 21/02/2015 17:15

Are muffins also on the cream tea menu?

pixieg1rl · 21/02/2015 17:40

I made a victoria sponge today. I'm so suggestible....

orphan · 21/02/2015 17:42

cjwoof surely overflowing cream horns are a necessity? Grin

cherin · 21/02/2015 17:45

I am making "baci di dama" as I type, walking in front of a Carluccio where a box sells for 16£ suddenly got me inspired....nuts and butter and sugar, I really need to go running tomorrow or it'll be the end of me. Mum arrived with enough delicatessen to open a stall at the local market. Might gonna need to find an old Vespa and sell from a bench fitted on its seat ;-)

Richtea19 · 21/02/2015 17:55

Ok, zero battery on phone so haven't caught up in antics today, but DS had dreadful run, so muddy lost a trainer even though gaffer taped on to foot! He's gone home on train and DH, friend and I drinking lots of wine :)
Looking forward to cTching up on all MN OG chat when fully charged!

Nickel45 · 21/02/2015 18:07

richtea sorry you've not had a good day. Hope your DS is ok.

cherin that sounds fab. I reckon you should send some goodies round us lot, just so we can can check they are ok :)

Here is the link to the BS42 trailer. I saw on their (unofficial) Facebook page, that the new series starts the 9th March, but I can't see anything on the BBC3 official page, so who knows!

orphan · 21/02/2015 18:10

Ooh cherin those are my son's favourite! I always give him some for birthday and Christmas. I'd never have thought of making them. Are they really difficult?

orphan · 21/02/2015 18:24

richtea so sorry your son had a dreadful run. Hope he's not too upset. Is there a second chance at all?

cherin · 21/02/2015 18:25

Naaah, super easy!
I follow this recipe usually
www.davidlebovitz.com/2012/11/baci-di-dama-cookies-recipe/

Ilovelblue · 21/02/2015 18:31

What has Painted done to me! I had a call whilst making the tea from my union, clearly canvassing re the forthcoming general election. I said "you'd better hurry up otherwise my tea is going to burn" so when it came to the crunch as to who I would vote for, I said "Charles James of course!" She sounded puzzled and when she asked who he was, I just laughed and put the phone down. Well, I would vote for him! Stuff his policies, he'd just look good to drool over on telly every night!

Thanks for the link Nickel. I've quite got into Bluestone 42.

Paintedcherryblossoms · 21/02/2015 18:37

Now that would be a party political broadcast worth watching ilove I am looking forward to writing this one....can incorporate a few funnies I have seen in RL along the way Smile

orphan · 21/02/2015 18:41

cherin thanks I might just give that a go, although I'm more of a success in the kitchen with savoury things. I find baking a bit stressful but I do love eating the results! My son would be sooo impressed if I presented him with baci di dama that I'd made myself. I've only ever seen them in Carluccios, so it would def be a money saver.

ilove that's hilarious! I bet the canvasser is desperately googling Charles James now!

orphan · 21/02/2015 18:43

painted am saving your ff for my bedtime treat as dodgy as that sounds.Grin

Paintedcherryblossoms · 21/02/2015 18:47

Will try and get chapter 3 done specially for you orphan to increase the pleasure factor......it's good to be back Grin

cjwoofwoof · 21/02/2015 18:50

Perhaps some homemade baci di dama could be on the tea table at the AGM? I'm hoping an old tart could gatecrash the post-wrestle cream tea as well orphan
