cjwoof that's the good thing about harmonicas - it doesn't matter whether you blow or suck, you get an effect. Great for the beginner.

Onlygirljen · 11/02/2015 22:39

ilove it was quick, although as orphan says, I'm sure he'd be quick to contend that quality was an automatic standard.

I'm now reliving memories of being 19, and my first introduction to the wonders of a QF! The alcoholic version, I should clarify..Blush

orphan · 11/02/2015 22:48

Why do some cocktails have such excruciating names? Is it just to give bar tenders a laugh? I had the joy of asking for a Pornstar (very yum) recently.

cjwoofwoof · 11/02/2015 22:48

Indeed orphan but practice and experience will bring many many variations of tune and hopefully an encore will be demanded. Everything depends on the mouthing movement, lip thickness and tongue roll. CJ should be able to give professional lessons in that department as we've seen him practising on screen lots of times, obviously preparing for the AGM

Ilovelblue · 11/02/2015 22:50

This is quite surreal. I have episode 2 on (just got to the scene where she goes into his quarters to pick up the words to the duet), writing a totally fictional guide to being a CJ Collective Obsessive and flicking through this thread at the same time. It is a totally parallel world I think. It makes me laugh just thinking about it.

I'm sure RL Chris would love my description of him in this guidebook: A friend/colleague of CJ's in the ff but who the Mumsnetters all secretly adore. His already inflated ego would probably burst.

cjwoofwoof · 11/02/2015 22:51

I'm talking here about the harmonica, not the pornstar - crossed post eek!

apsara03 · 11/02/2015 22:51

Hilarious as ever . Can't believe I've had 24 hours to catch up on though habe been grabbing few moments during day to cat has up on all the fan fic updates -Awesome again keep checking to see if you've updated and loving your new one lola

Richtea19 · 11/02/2015 23:10

lola excellent new story.

orphan · 11/02/2015 23:15

Ahh ilove ep 2... I think that may be my fave; so many lovely bits and Molly looks at her most gorgeous during the duet.

cjwoof of course that's what those tongue rolls are - limbering up for the AGM musical interlude!

orphan · 11/02/2015 23:20

richtea are you back at work tomorrow? Oh and did you encounter Mr Beardie again? (Having spent a day in London surrounded by beardies, I've decided a well shaped, hipster style beard is quite pleasant)

Richtea19 · 11/02/2015 23:28

orphan another day off tomorrow, but back in Friday. Mr Beardie is a Dr.... Work is starting to become interesting Wink. We all have swivels too! Don't think I will contain my giggles when we have a team briefing.

orphan · 11/02/2015 23:37

Ooh Dr Beardie! I'm picturing him as this rather nice bearded man I sat across from on the tube today. He had lovely elegant long fingered hands and his beard looked soft and conditioned, not coarse and like a brillo pad. Oh dear, I really am a sad hormonal lecher ...Confused

icemistOBE · 12/02/2015 07:01

Morning.
18mo has taken to waking up at 5. Too early, need to work on that. 2nd night this week I've been in bed before 10!

Don't think we've had the paddling pool for a while Grin

Ooh, that's too early. I like sleeping! Mine used to be terrible at staying asleep but now they are old enough to know how grumpy I am in they wake me too early. Doesn't always stop them but has reduced it. Thank goodness. I was up early as a friend dropped her daughter at mine at 7. On my second coffee!!! Love that pool photo (and the others Smile)

Onlygirljen · 12/02/2015 07:51

Feel your pain icemist, my 2 year old is the worst sleeper. Regularly still gets up during the night, and it's a miracle if he sleeps beyond 5.30/6am. Feel like I am fuelled by black coffee most days of my life!

Paintedcherryblossoms · 12/02/2015 07:55

Morning ice yet again thanks for the latest set of pics .....pool pic....glorious Smile soooo tired this week so the perfect pick me up

Richtea19 · 12/02/2015 08:04

Thanks icemist for the photos, lovely. I need an early night too! I've just had a dreadful argument with DS (eldest) why is it that teenagers think they know it all. And specially can't admit that they are wrong! Ahhhhhh. Deep breaths and think of CJ relaxing in the paddling pool :)

orphan · 12/02/2015 08:05

Morning! How could I even contemplate beards as being attractive now I'm reminded of the glory of a beardless CJ? Paddling pool is a classic and of course I do love the original Operation Bulge.

Richtea19 · 12/02/2015 08:39

orphan you're right. I feel I have been distracted, I'm going back to basics. It's all about Operation Bulge and hairless CJ lounging in a paddling pool. I'm going to focus up, think strong tanned forearm, legs akimbo, headset..... I'm now feeling slightly overwhelmed .

cherin · 12/02/2015 09:16

Hairless but not waxed, right? I am not buying man+waxing strips, really
(Gee, was sitting on bus next to v elderly lady, beret and wooly scarf included. Hope she didn't read the chest sentence. She looked heavily spectacled...at this pace, we will also be elderly ladies in comfy shoes and 100den tights and still be posting pictures of CJ??!)

Ot: there's another book by macfarlan on offer with kindle, only 99p. The one you recommended was good, just finished it :-) how comes most GoodMen in chick lit are named Ben? I see a pattern forming...

Nickel45 · 12/02/2015 09:40

Maybe a little bit of hair? Definitely not waxed. Ew!
We have a really young guy in our office who has a very long beard, reminds me of Gandalf! He is probably only early 20s though.
Anyway ..... today I am going to concentrate on doing some work (got a bit behind yesterday, can't think why?!)!

Richtea19 · 12/02/2015 09:50

Not waxed, I hate that Chippendale shiney oiled skin wax chest, yuk. Although I think I mentioned before I did wax DH shoulders and back before holiday.... Could of used the cream stuff, but somehow got some pleasure in pulling off those strips Wink

cjwoofwoof · 12/02/2015 09:52

See now I'm a fan of the Afghan grime gloves on vest pic in middle - such chiselled jawline and big hands - thanks ice perfect start to the day Smile

cjwoofwoof · 12/02/2015 10:05

Incidentally, I don't mind tufts but not the full gorilla look including hairy backs of hands and shoulders yuck!!

Rhubarb01 · 12/02/2015 10:10

Just a quick check in to say morning all! Richtea glad the job's going well and as for teenagers, yes apparently we know nothing at all until they reach the age of about 22 and start seeing that parents do have some useful knowledge to impart. Had a massive argument with my DD yesterday straight after an important parents evening. The argument was totally pointless and baffling especially as she is doing brilliantly had just had nothing but praise heaped on her and we were very proud! Bloody kids. She did actually apologise later, however. That apology might have to last us a few years.

Beards - not a fan and never have been. I can't stand seeing sixthformers going to school with beards - its just such a old man look for a young kid! It's just a fad. They'll all look back in a few years and cringe just like we did about all those fashions and hairstyles.

Chest waxing - yes don't see why not especially if you could do it as a means of revenge - men can be so wimpy!
