Oooh cinn is specifictopic anything to do with sword fighting?!?

letus I do love all your pics and captions btw

Did anyone watch nathan barley back in the 00's? shock discovery of last night: it contains a very young ben wishaw and bendydick cumonmyback. [Warning: bw fans may find his scenes distressing]

MiladyBeaWinter · 11/02/2015 08:41

Morning

School run. Bye

FancyFancy · 11/02/2015 09:17

Morning.

Hope you've sorted out the heating elk

Yes, Friday is taking an age to arrive & it's not as if I've been sitting around this week. I've had my usual pre-menstrual productivity, pity that'll be at an end now, woke up to lovely cramps this morning. I'm having a filling replaced today, so a cracking day all round Grin.

ApricotCrush · 11/02/2015 09:21

Morning!

Why is it not Friday yet?

So looking forward to it. It looks as though it will give Tom a chance to show off his acting chops.

Elk hope you sort your heating out. When we last moved it was January and there was snow on the ground. The heating was oil-fired, very expensive and very inefficient, and I wondered what we'd done. We soon got it sorted though.

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 11/02/2015 09:26

If I have to read another Twitter fench convo where they're including Jess P in every reply I think I might have to scream. I do hope she's got her notifications switched off.

They're offering to be extras in S3.

Good luck at dentist Fancy

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/02/2015 10:09

Washing needs to be taken out of the machine. Badders where are you? I'm going to out on a second load next...

Baddz · 11/02/2015 10:18

Helen...
I'm sorry!
What with dh leaving for his trip and picking up a friends child for school drop off I haven't even put a load in yet!
Shock
I feel like I have let you down.....:(
I may not actually do a load til later....
Hopefully ds1 back at school tomorrow.

Baddz · 11/02/2015 10:19

Anyone watching wolf hall later?
Only 2 more sleeps!!....

MiladyBeaWinter · 11/02/2015 10:30

Me re Wolf Hall. Am caught up and enjoying it a lot. Starting to see the darker side of his character now and it should all kick off very soon.

Washing just finished and it's started to rain. Dryer it is then.

We have oil heating Apricot and it's horribly expensive. No gas here though so it's that or elecy. I'm thinking of selling a child to pay for it next winter.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/02/2015 10:30

Wink Never mind Badders you have more than enough on your plate without trying to synchronise the washing.

Will also be Wolf Hall-ing tonight. And 'squeeeeeeeee' for Friday night too. (Unheard of - I'm going to have had at least 3 hours of TV time this week with things I want to watch). Not that I object to the stuff he puts on, but it doesn't interest me so much.

Enormouse · 11/02/2015 10:44

Ooh I've had put a load on and done some vacuuming.
Feeling fairly productive and yet still shit. Toddlermouse is under the weather and clinging like a very clingy thing. And baby is clinging because he likes to be competitive. But mumsnet have said yes to my web chat idea which is great. And I've done some work on my essay.

Good luck at the dentists fancy.

milady we used to have heating oil but fuckers round here like nicking it.

And yes, this week is dragging. Roll on Friday and Saturday.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/02/2015 10:48

Gas? What's that then?
Hurrah for local oil buying consortia, and woodburners. And thick wooly jumpers. And warm furry lapwarmers cats. And electric radiators. And big mugs of hot chocolate.

MiladyBeaWinter · 11/02/2015 10:50

We have an oil club too. Makes a big difference to cost, but it's still extortionate! And we have a chainsaw

IssyStark · 11/02/2015 10:54

Feeling envious of Helen - am so behind with laundry. Hoping that at least two loads will get done on Friday if I leave instructions: DH mostly at home as Inset day apart from coming in for a meeting first thing and giving a lecture at 2 - already booked a late lunch with ds1 and iPads in Costa while DH is off instilling his wisdom Hmm

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/02/2015 10:55

I CANNOT be arsed Sad

Call mountain rescue out for me if I'm not back by Wolf Hall? (as if I could stay off MN that long...!)

Baddz · 11/02/2015 11:02

Today will mostly be spent on the sofa watching Big Bang theory with ds Wink
Have had to put he heating on again (it goes off at 9)
It's bloody freezing.
Helen... I have just put one wash on Smile
Fil is coming over after 6 so I will might try and have a bath later...

MadamedeChevreuse · 11/02/2015 12:21

Whats your webchat idea mouse?

Heating is an arse. Flowers elk. its the kind of thing you only find out about after moving in. We have no gas either, just shitty old storage heaters. so the house is freezing. Priority for new house is that it has gas central heating.

At work still in midst of massive work stress shit, which has given me another effing migraine. Feel like throwing up. Sob. Cant go home cos too much work to do. Sob (again.)

MiladyBeaWinter · 11/02/2015 12:21

Just been reading the dinosaurs thread. Just excellent. It's why I love Mumsnet (other than wenches of course).

Enormouse · 11/02/2015 12:46

I love the dinosaurs thread. Is it still going?

Madame it's Mara Clarke from the abortion support network. They help women travel from ROI/NI to England to access abortions. Hq have agreed and so has she.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/02/2015 12:51

NOW look what you made me do Badders & MrsB I'd just scaled the mountain to the dizzy heights of this week's emails, and now I've been distracted by mad dinosaur threads. Grin

Wine for Madame for bad head; Mouse for clingy DCs, Brew for Issy*

PS MrsB we have a chainsaw too Grin and when we combined houses, DH discovered that my power drill was bigger and better than his. W[r]ench power tools AND I wired in my replacement extractor fan without electrocuting anyone. (I should confess that I don't actually use the chainsaw myself. But I have been down the drains with the gauntlet gloves this morning to clear out the leaves clogging it up. How come I've ended up doing the crappy jobs while DH gets to wave power tools about?)

Enormouse · 11/02/2015 12:57

What's an oil club btw?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/02/2015 13:06

Mouse Oil club = lots of people club together to buy their heating oil. Drives the price down when you have an order for several tankers full coming to the local area, rather than 500 litres just for you.

Conference call has been postponed, going to grab some food....

IssyStark · 11/02/2015 13:10

Mouse absolutely fantastic idea for the chat deserving of bouquets and applause! Flowers

Feel for all of you sans GCH. I grew with oil CH as no gas available and I doubt you would get my mum and dad to give up their winter fuel allowance despite being what would be considered well off as it is so expensive to run.

Anyway, must get off and prep for a meeting with a potentially grumpy professor and try not to be grumpy in turn (need more sleep but ds2 decided to join us and then hogged the bed in the style of a Steven Appleby cartoon however now have a cuppa and maybe caffeine will help)

Baddz · 11/02/2015 13:16

Mouse....WELL DONE WENCH!
Fab idea Smile
That dino thread was ace...spent a very happy hour along with mouse on that one Smile
"Liquified dinosaurs"
I'm still laughing Grin

Enormouse · 11/02/2015 13:21

That thread moved so fast I could barely keep up Smile.
