Having watched the Dog/Athos slash scarf gif a few hundred times (side thought, why is it called slash ?), I conclude that that the scarf wasn't round his neck, it was folded up each side to somewhere near his ears, so it looked like it was wrapped around, but Dog could pull it (nlt) without strangling him.
That's how I would have set it if my actors were blocked to do that, anyway.
Second day of rehearsals on newplay today. Slow work because it's complicated and detailed blocking on specifictopic and we have an expert in the rehearsal room telling the actors how to do things. But the technically correct version isn't necessarily the best way for theatre.
Nice bunch of people, though, including brotheroffamousperson and daughterofdifferentfamousperson who was very impressed with the biscuits I made for the first day of rehearsals, and asked for the recipe to make with her children at the weekend. (It's actually an ancient Mary Berry recipe from when she was famous first time around, but meh, who's counting ?)
