It was unsettling. Can you imagine packing up all your belongings, selling loads of stuff thinking you are going to Oz, then moving in with your inlaws? Confused

I wonder what his family in Newcastle made of all that?

dillite · 05/02/2015 10:02

They would be lucky to get a one bed flat in Surrey with their budget. Especially in Weybridge.

LlamaLove · 05/02/2015 10:03

She was very Me me me me me me.

I got MY career. I got MY parents. I have everything I want.........

susiedaisy · 05/02/2015 10:04

And he was probably being polite because it was for tv, i bet they've had some right rows about it. He will be back in Newcastle on his own soonHmm

Oh yes he sold everything too, she did a great job there no Man clutter and her Mum as chief cook and childminder.

forago · 05/02/2015 10:05

You wouldnt get a 1 bed flat in Weybridge for 150K today - absolutely no chance. They could move Woking way but I think that would even be pushing it. And a community nurse and gas fitter would struggle to get a mortgage approved there too. I guess the parents will be providing.

susiedaisy · 05/02/2015 10:06

She's back with her parents so built in baby sitter, not much housework, shared cooking and laundry no doubt,

I have completely missed the boat here as I couldn't remember my blinking password to log on but on the wdu Facebook page there is an update. They bought a house together..... 2 minutes down the road from her mum and dad!!!!

forago · 05/02/2015 10:07

they'll probably build them a little house in their garden.

JoanHickson · 05/02/2015 10:07

She said her family is complete now. My guess is he is surplus to requirements.

EatSleepRaveRepeat · 05/02/2015 10:07

Oh dear looked liked he wanted to cry at one point .. feel sorry for him

Hismumhermum · 05/02/2015 10:08

It says they moved, but could be a rental.

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 05/02/2015 10:09

sparkling That's what I wondered. His family must be scratching their heads. Wonder if they had debt or something and had to sell up? Theyve taken a backwards step.

Sparklingbrook · 05/02/2015 10:09

Homes Under the Hammer isn't cheering me up after that.

susiedaisy · 05/02/2015 10:11

Yep they've moved 2 mins from her parents doesn't say if it's rented or bought. And yes I noticed she said her family was complete. So no more kids for Steven. FB comments are all saying the same about her as well are

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 05/02/2015 10:11

Ah cross post. They have moved out. She really dud a number on him.

susiedaisy · 05/02/2015 10:11

How did she meet him ? Did she live in Newcastle?

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 05/02/2015 10:12

I wonder if she is a Mumsnetter?

JoanHickson · 05/02/2015 10:12

She has a backup plan. If she is calculated enough to get on TV and sell a move down under, all to get rid of his Man clutter and move to Surrey, she's capable of anything.

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 05/02/2015 10:13

I can't get my dh to move over in the bloody sofa, never mind move house.

susiedaisy · 05/02/2015 10:14

Me neither, if I changed brands of frozen peas my exh used to moan Angry

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 05/02/2015 10:14

*ON the sofa ffs. Darn blue freezing Scottish fingers! Get me a visa!

susiedaisy · 05/02/2015 10:16

Oh I feel really angry on Stevens behalf. Need to go and do something to forget about it.

dillite · 05/02/2015 10:16

Off topic- HUtH is on now and they are showing the flat in Dulwich. The oven in the kitchen is in the corner and there's a cupboard door with a big handle perpendicular to the oven door. How the heck do you use the oven?
