The Day Team Aramis Won The Musketeers
OK, so I'll start when I arrived in London. I found A & M in the pub at about 2.30. M had arrived at Apple at 12ish & we ended up having 3 seats reserved for us!!! They said we didn't have to return til 4.30 but we disregarded that advice (1st good move of the day) & went over at maybe 3.30. We fucked up a bit at this point by thinking we were at the front of the queue for about 20 mins & then realising that the actual frigging long queue was on he other side of the store
so we had to go & join the end of it. At this point we knew we wouldn't be able to save any seats, there were just too many people. Apple man had told Madame they weren't expecting many blah blah & it would be fine. EPIC FAIL APPLE.
We found our reserved seats which were in the 3rd row (front row was unused which seemed a real shame given how many were standing at the back). They'd put us right on the end of the row & the middle seats directly in front of the chairs were still free so we just sat in them instead, Apple man said that was OK. We had already worked out that our heads were going to be at crotch level so mucho hyperventilating ensued.
And then we waited. It was excruciating. Honestly, my stomach was in complete knots. We had a shortlist of q's written out & kept having to look at them again as we kept forgetting them. Then we had to decide who wanted which question
Then I had to have an emergency wee at 4.35 arrrghhhhh. When I came back, it turned out Fancy & DD were stood just behind us!
So we got to 5 pm & the interviewer announced them on individually. I think I had actually stopped breathing. They came out of the door at the end or our row & the stage chairs were 10 ft from us. It went Luca, Maimie, Howie, Santi. And yes, he got the biggest cheer
This is where it all turns into a blur. Literally 6 pics in, my phone started refusing to take any more so I was fuming & fiddling & trying to stay upright & not whimper, all at the same time. In the end I had to give it up as I was missing too much. It was very very intimate, lots of messing about & banter & playing up to the audience, honestly they had us in the palms of their hands (yy). At various points us 3 were choking with mirth, especially when HC started on about sword fighting being like a language & learning to talk in sentences LOLOLOL. Lots of suppressed snorts & me hitting Anne
Plus a lot of hissed "Spreadage!" and "Fuuuuuucking hells" etc etc.
We realised very shortly after they sat down that The Stare is in fact, a Thing. Santi kept looking at the audience when there was general chat going on, & because we were so close eye contact was possible
If we weren't a mess beforehand, we were by now.
RIGHT. THIS IS GOING TO HAVE TO BE IN INSTALLMENTS. I need to actually do an awful lot of stuff today. I would much rather get all this down while it's still fresh but frigging RL calls.
Tune in later for PART TWO
