Couldn't see a new Eastenders thread, so I thought I'd start one. Apologies if this is a duplication.

Great to hear Christian could be coming back.

I don't think it was Ian.

I don't think Peter's reaction was unlikely - he knew she was missing and could see from Ian's face something was badly wrong. Who knows though?! There are more red herrings than a paint accident at a herring farm.

misstiredbuthappy · 07/02/2015 11:12

Im sick of waiting now. I hope its not realy obvious. After 10 months I want a big twist.

Southeastdweller · 07/02/2015 11:13

I really hope it's not a minor character (such as one or both of the Coker's). After all this time, I need a pay-off so I want it to be someone who's a main character.

SoupDragon · 07/02/2015 11:17

I don't think it will be Eastenders Royalty - so not Ian, Dot, Phil or Sharon.
Perhaps bottom of the next tier down.

I don't think it will be a Carter Family member - they have too much going on.

cocobud · 07/02/2015 11:27

Could I ask a naive question about Stan, please? Why doesn't he seem to be receiving adequate pain relief, or is this the reality for some cancer sufferers, to be in great pain, unless they enter a hospice or hospital?

Lucy killer - Peter

MagpieCursedTea · 07/02/2015 11:29

I just need to know now! I think the build up has been so huge that it's going to hard not to disappoint.

Southeastdweller · 07/02/2015 11:40

That makes sense Soup.

misstiredbuthappy · 07/02/2015 12:15

Was she strangled ? Its been that long I cant remember.

Fakebook · 07/02/2015 12:35

I agree misstiredbuthappy, Peter sat in the pub the whole time waiting for her. Normally when someone goes missing they all start running around like headless chickens asking everyone if they've seen so-and-so. The fact he stayed in one corner of the pub and then did that blood curdling scream seems very strange in retrospect.

She wasn't strangled, had trauma to the head.

AGnu · 07/02/2015 12:38

No miss - it was a head injury. No signs of other wounds on her body as far as we've been told.

I'm still convinced that Max is ultimately responsible after the bump we know about but that something else happened which made someone else feel responsible & they covered it up. They said right at the beginning that the person responsible wouldn't know the full story of what happened that night.

SoupDragon · 07/02/2015 12:47

Peter was pissed off with Lucy though wasn't he? She was scatty and attention seeking and he'd heard Ian telling her she was his favourite. I doubt he was inclined to go searching for her.

This is the problem - there are multiple plausible reasons for everyone's behaviour!!

SoupDragon · 07/02/2015 12:48

i still think Emma's actions and behaviour after she worked it out rule out the Brannings.

misstiredbuthappy · 07/02/2015 13:01

I don't think its Max. Didnt the actor hold up a card saying "I killed Lucy" at a darts match. If it was him I think eastenders bosses would change the killer straight away.

I like your theory about someone covering because they think they are responsible AGnu

What date do we find out again ?

Rivercam · 07/02/2015 13:25

Maybe it is Lauren, and she has realised that Emma had worked it out...

AGnu · 07/02/2015 13:27

That was just a joke. None of the cast know who it was so there's no need for them to change it. If it had been him, he knew & revealed it then I imagine they'd have changed it & he'd have left the show rather suddenly! I think I saw yesterday that the guilty person was only going to be given half an hour's warning. Thought I saw previously that they were going to be told 2 weeks before though. If that's the case then they know now!

I guarantee that Bobby will at least have some lines live. Why else would they have changed the actor to one with experience of big stage productions - they need someone they can rely on to perform on the night! I bet we'll hear more out of Bobby than we ever have before, even if it's just his response to the discovery... Bet it'll be his confession though! Wink

SoupDragon · 07/02/2015 13:44

The person who did it knows that Emma worked it out though as she spoke to the murderer.

LemonBreeland · 07/02/2015 14:42

I think that although we are going to find out who did it, that doesn't mean the characters will find out then too. So that will give time to sort out tge person leaving/taking time off.

Fakebook · 07/02/2015 15:11

Yes I read somewhere that the killer would find out 3 weeks ahead to give them time to get into character. Wonder why they've changed it all of a sudden?

I think we'll find out who killed Lucy and then nick will be murdered and so whoever they tell will get sidetracked by that. My guess is the killer will confide in Dot.

SoupDragon · 07/02/2015 16:05

Dot appears to have been kidnapped by Denny and his invisible gang of Silent children.

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/02/2015 17:07

Not sure why Stan doesn't take the drugs his self. He's quite capable of popping pills

MagpieCursedTea · 07/02/2015 17:09

Yeah the Stan storyline really isn't making much sense. I think they're in danger of doing a bad job of dealing with a very sensitive issue.

LoveVintage · 07/02/2015 17:38

That's a very interesting point Agnu about the new Bobby actor, that must be of significance. Also the fact of the killer not knowing so we can't look for any clues in their behaviour.

The whole Stan and Carter's issues, Ronnie in a coma but hearing nothing about her, Nick hiding and missing Easties children is getting a bit much. There is so much going on but some of the things are getting no air time, I wonder how much will get tied up in the lives week

youarekiddingme · 07/02/2015 19:51

I thina lot will vintage I think there may be significance in the fact the party was at the Mitchell sisters. So Ronnie could wake up and give a statement (all within a half hour episode!).

I'm really looking forward to the lives and flashbacks. I think there will a lot that shocks us that we just didn't consider or even notice throughout!

AGnu · 07/02/2015 21:48

I can't imagine there'll be much that hasn't been noticed on this thread you! I think every time someone has blinked on screen, or not appeared on screen while they were blinking, has been thoroughly scrutinised on here! Grin

RedCrayons · 07/02/2015 21:56

Ronnie might be in the flashback ep, rather than the other ones.

The Stan story is so annoying, he's not incapacitated, he could go and get his own pills or throw himself off a bridge. It looked like she was mixing him up a Beachams powder for him.
