Couldn't see a new Eastenders thread, so I thought I'd start one. Apologies if this is a duplication.

Great to hear Christian could be coming back.

How many people recognise a phone number nowadays though? All of mine are stored under people's names, I have no idea what the actual numbers are.

AGnu · 05/02/2015 23:18

Stan storyline is ridiculous.

I loved Shabnam tonight. She got all Tamwar-y! Grin

What exactly does that yellow piece of paper say? It looks like it's supposed to read: "0207 946 SOC 0221" or possibly 80C? Is 80C a flat number they were trying to rent out? Why would Emma write any number down next to those words? If it's a Branning number then surely she'd have it on her phone, ditto the Beales'. Even if she didn't have the Beales' number then writing it on the paper wouldn't necessarily be suspicious - it was the victim's home number. I'm quite liking my flat thought - maybe the murder scene? Although I'm not quite sure why the music box would've been there. Maybe Lucy & Max had been using it as their secret love-nest & now that she's split up with him & argued with her dad, Lucy's decided to move out... That wouldn't explain how the music box got back though... Hmm... [sherlock]

Max ripped that file up. He tore it & scrumpled it. How is that piece of paper so immaculate, except for a single carefully torn corner? Did Lauren iron it? Does anyone think the "th" after the 18 looks odd? It's more like "H|" - Significant?

They showed a scene after Emma had been calling the person she believed was the murderer & every character was putting their mobile away at the same time. All mobiles, no landlines.

Lauren's bump rustled the wrapping on the flowers as she tried to get close enough for her foot to "accidentally" pick up the paper. Grin

AGnu · 05/02/2015 23:20

Eeek!! "SOC" - Scene Of Crime! Shock

AGnu · 05/02/2015 23:22

Could well be the car lot then... Would fit with my theory about Emma meeting with Abi, Abi explaining that Max argued with Lucy & she fell... Why she'd feel the need to write the phone number rather than the name of the place I have yet to figure out!

Lauramum23 · 05/02/2015 23:28

Hello new here Smile but me and my bloke have reunited with eastenders again after a fair few years! Although it's bloody exasperating at times the stan (Gary glitter yes he does strike a resemblance) story just bloody ger on wiv it!
Who looks after the children of Walford? Miss piggys child Denny for example?Grin
It's hilarious at times but we lav it!
And have I dreamt up a live episode all week we have been waiting!?? My 8 year old daughter is gripped with eastenders at the mo but I loved it at her age too x

DieselSpillages · 06/02/2015 06:12

Why oh why can't Stan just get on and end his own life ?

Danny Dyer's acting with Dean was very monotone. I was surprised that people leave their spades hanging around , you'd a thought they'd be half- hinched this being Landan.

DieselSpillages · 06/02/2015 06:17

Just had a thought.. did Danny handle the spade? Is Dean going to bash himself in the head with one and blame him? I can't think why else there were those shiny new spades knocking about.

youarekiddingme · 06/02/2015 06:40

Here's what the paper said!

Eastenders -"We want a Sherlock emoticon, and we want it now!"
youarekiddingme · 06/02/2015 06:45

That could be the phone number to the SOC - genius realising that Ag

It could be the car lot and would make sense but would then point to how it doesn't add up when she died the next morning/ was found the next morning - hence the missing hours reference?

SoupDragon · 06/02/2015 07:08

It looks almost like CC.

Fakebook · 06/02/2015 07:16

Looks like an 8 to me and the pens running out of ink. Could be 800 too. I like the 80C idea though. Maybe it's a flat number at the flats in Walford common? That's where Jake said he left her didn't he?

Eastenders -"We want a Sherlock emoticon, and we want it now!"
ArtfulPuss · 06/02/2015 09:41

It's not the car lot unless they've changed the number there…
Branning Brothers

Fakebook · 06/02/2015 09:54

It's not the doctor's surgery either. It appears to have a completely different code...Confused

SoupDragon · 06/02/2015 10:01

I couldn't find a number for Deals on Wheels (yes I've looked too!) but it isn't Blades or the Arches either.

AGnu · 06/02/2015 10:02

Maybe it's not a phone number at all... It's written in a different format to the surgery. Is 020 XXXX XXXX the standard way to write a London number? Maybe it's a code & Lauren's got a successful career in cryptography ahead of her... Grin

Definitely not LB Lettings number either - they didn't advertise a landline number.

SoupDragon · 06/02/2015 10:04

0207 XXX XXXX is a common wrong way to write London phone numbers. The correct way is 020 7XXX XXXX

SoupDragon · 06/02/2015 10:05

LB Lettings was 08081 570645 :o

RedCrayons · 06/02/2015 10:14

Respect to all you loons googling Walford phone numbers! I didn't think of doing that. Soupy - I was wondering how many landline numbers Lauren would actually recognise, young'uns all call each other on mobiles these days don't they. I'm old and I only know mine, my mums and my work. I'd even have to look my brothers up.

I love Kush, how long till they turn him into a psycho? Although I'm surprised that Shabnam was soooo awkward with him seeing as she was jumping his bones last week and had a perfectly normal conversation with half an hour before.

SoupDragon · 06/02/2015 10:17

I couldn't find a number for Beales restaurant which Lauren would probably have recognised, or the fish and chip shop, minute mart or cafe. It's not the old number for Booty which she would also have known but that's too long gone really.

AGnu · 06/02/2015 10:18

I've got it... "SOC" = Sharon's Odd Child - It's Denny! Grin

LemonBreeland · 06/02/2015 10:20

Is anybody else finding that despite the fact we have been waiting 10 months for this, now it is only 2 weeks to go it is goin really slowly.

SoupDragon · 06/02/2015 10:20

Ha! I guessed Denny days ago! [smug]

:o

RedCrayons · 06/02/2015 10:22

Sharon's Odd Child Grin

SoupDragon · 06/02/2015 10:27

Could also be obnoxious

SoupDragon · 06/02/2015 10:30

Seriously though, Sccene of Crime makes most sense but what would have made Emma suddenly believe a particular location with a phone number is the crime scene? Did they originally think Lucy was killed elsewhere and dumped? I can't remember now.
