My guess is Sharon.
I like the theory that her bar is a front for selling drugs.
And she's close enough to Ian for it to be a huge shock to him.
And I remember hearing early on that as it's the 30th anniversary there was going to be a huge shock involving both of the longest running characters so Ian andSharon would both be involved in it somehow.

(Although I'm still hopeful that it turns out to be Aleks as he was my original suspect.)

I have now Queen! Interesting that Jay seems to be talking to her on the bus. She's got a coat on in that scene but not in the others - where did her coat go?! I thought the bus-with-Jay scene was quite a while before she was murdered. She met with Jake, took him home in a taxi, argued with Billy, Ben & Jay obtained her purse... All that must've happened after she walked across the common after getting off the bus, mustn't it?

Peter also seems to have different coats in different pictures but I think the drugs are a red-herring. It would've been mentioned by now if the police found any illegal substances in her blood so she can't have taken the drugs before she died. I bet Nick will be involved in that plotline somewhere.

I've updated my [sherlock] document to include this - have I forgotten any key pieces of evidence?

I have a theory now thinking about it.. Peter is Jay and Lucy's drug dealer, Jay and Lucy where going to meet Peter in the common to get drugs. Abi followed Jay and in the dark thought it was Lola pushed her and killed her, although Peter was gone by then and Jay is covering for Abi who accidentally killed Lucy! Case closed Grin

Aren't the coats just the ones the actors wear in between scenes? They don't look like they are in character when they've got the coats on. Unless it's just me?

I don't think it will be ian or Peter, as they all acted surprised and in grief following Lucy's death. I think it will be too much to expect them to be the killer.

I was looking at the credits and Lee Carter's real name is "Danny-Boy Hatchard". Danny-Boy Grin.

Also just looked at that dail fail spoiler and now I'm more confused than ever. Confused
