Couldn't see a new Eastenders thread, so I thought I'd start one. Apologies if this is a duplication.

Great to hear Christian could be coming back.

Avoid all media? Shock

MagpieCursedTea · 01/02/2015 19:19

I can't believe all the stuff people are putting before Eastenders! Work? Birthdays? Children?
Priorities people! Grin

Southeastdweller · 01/02/2015 19:21

Yes, if you can, Chuck!

You're right Magpie. I'm booking the week off and finding a week long residential for the DCs for half term.

okeydonkey · 01/02/2015 23:03

I'm due a baby end of Feb totally desperate to give birth as pregnancy feels blurgh!! BUT I hope it does not interfere with EE

AGnu · 01/02/2015 23:52

I'll be on a media blackout each evening until I've found time to watch it. Our evenings seem to be ridiculously busy until at least 9. I want to be able to give it my full attention. That's going to be the week before my big cake project is due MIL's 60th so I'm furiously constructing half a field of sugar flowers in the hope that I won't need to do any that week! Am also supposed to go out that Thursday... I predict a headache or stomach bug... Wink

ChuckNovice · 02/02/2015 00:22

Oooo apparently Denise Van Outen joining Eastenders. She any good? I only know her from the Big Breakfast.

Iwantacampervan · 02/02/2015 07:00

Oh no...first holiday abroad for years booked for half term. (Rushes to check whether cancellation insurance covers need to watch live EE.) Catch up will be very busy on my return!

QueenFuri · 02/02/2015 07:03

I can't stand Denise Van Outen! Can't see who she would be? Remember that awful sitcom she was in with Samantha Womack and the guy who plays Dean and Mick's dad?

I am counting down the days until the live week. I can't wait ill be having some do not disturb signs to hang up while I watch them!

SoupDragon · 02/02/2015 07:05

The SmallDragons are skiing with their father for half term

I'm no fan of DVO but I guess they need someone with her media profile and marketability to help with the ratings after the killer is revealed.

SymphonyofShadows · 02/02/2015 07:20

What a swizz! She isn't even a Londoner!

SoupDragon · 02/02/2015 07:37

And every other cast member is a Londoner....?

differentnameforthis · 02/02/2015 08:25

We are about 10days behind, which means I won't see the live eps for a while...I SHOULD avoid this thread so I don't spoil the reveal...but I probably won't!

SymphonyofShadows · 02/02/2015 09:11

Soup, no they aren't. I meant to put a Grin after that. She is always banging on about how she is Essex and proud but no doubt she'll be a cockney as Roman Rd Market when she arrives

HollyJollyDillydolly · 02/02/2015 09:32

Not long to go now. When we were told we wouldnt find out the murderer until February it seemed forever Away!

Mrsjayy · 02/02/2015 09:39

Dh was watching tv in bed last night the creepy trailer came on I was facing the other way its even scarier just hearing it and not watching it

CrapBag · 02/02/2015 11:18

Luckily mine are still young so go to bed at 7. Although they have been going through a phase of getting up, since they were given bloody torches for Christmas! Not in EE week they won't be! I had to go up the other evening when Shabnam was telling Stacey about the baby she had so I missed some. Did she say the baby was adopted? I know she left it on her uncles step in the hope she would stay in the family but I'm sure she said it didn't happen like that and the baby was adopted then I had to go upstairs.

Fakebook · 02/02/2015 12:19

Yes, she said she left the baby on her uncle's doorstep (the strict one who came in it once) in hope they would end up adopting her, but they obviously alerted the authorities and she ended going through the system and getting adopted and now she doesn't know where she is.

I wonder if she gave birth alone or went into hospital...if the latter, it's amazing how they lost track of her and the baby and she was able to just put her on a doorstep Confused.

SoupDragon · 02/02/2015 13:23

I meant to put a :o after that

As did I!!

SoupDragon · 02/02/2015 13:25

She must have given birth alone. It still happens now occasionally, where you hear on the news that a baby has been found and the mother should come forward as they might need medical attention. i

SpanishFly · 02/02/2015 13:55

Aw crap, I can't bear DVO. Between her and Richard Blackwood, I may not be able to watch much longer Envy

Fakebook · 02/02/2015 13:58

Well I hope she talks about the birth because that must have been terrifying doing it alone the first time.

I think DVO is only making a guest appearance, hopefully nothing permanent! She's up there with Claudia Winkleman in my most disliked presenters.
