Couldn't see a new Eastenders thread, so I thought I'd start one. Apologies if this is a duplication.

Great to hear Christian could be coming back.

mmm true so it must be real murder then.

VashtaNerada · 23/01/2015 22:53

According to DH that means they would have known their actions could reasonably have led to her death.

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/01/2015 23:51

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/01/2015 23:55

I watched the clip & I don't think they said it was her music box, I think people are just assuming it was, and are jumping up the wrong tree!

differentnameforthis · 24/01/2015 00:03

The clip being the one at the NTAs

Chipstick10 · 24/01/2015 08:12

I'm not sure it will turn out to be a main character, unless the actor or actress had indicated they wished to leave the series. I'm thinking maybe someone like cindy. The actor who plays Peter is leaving. And as we know the actress who plays Lauren has left to have her baby

SpanishFly · 24/01/2015 10:01

Does anyone have a link to the clip of the episode where the music box tune plays...? Or which episode was it in?

SpanishFly · 24/01/2015 10:12

The christmas day episode, when the music box is under the tree - it's DEFINITELY the same music as was played at the NTAs

ChuckNovice · 24/01/2015 10:36

They could just be having a paid break though, which I'm sure they'd be fine with. How many people actually go to prison for murder on eastenders anyway?

SymphonyofShadows · 24/01/2015 15:34

Very true Chuck, Stacey got all of 5 minutes when they finally caught her

Greenkit · 25/01/2015 05:21

I have no idea, but I tend to float through life anyway unaware of most things

youarekiddingme · 25/01/2015 08:00

I re watched the Christmas day episode last night. It is the same tune and Ian says its Lucy's box.

The plot thickens Grin

Plus it's the only scene since this started where Abi doesn't act suspicious and just asks what it is!

SpanishFly · 25/01/2015 09:36

youarekiddingme yes , it is definitely absolutely the same tune on the Xmas Day episode.

But is there a different episode that people are referring to where we hear the music box? Because a few people are saying it's not the same tune?

Fakebook · 25/01/2015 15:50

The Christmas Day tune and the NTAs tune is exactly the same. The day Ian breaks open the music box and finds the drugs (maybe before good Friday episode) the tune is different. I'll try to find the link I saw.

Apparently Dean has signed another years contract so I'm thinking he gets away with the rape. Not happy about that.

Fakebook · 25/01/2015 15:53

different tune?

I don't know Oh What a Beautiful Morning all the way through, maybe it is the same tune? Sounds different to me.

SpanishFly · 25/01/2015 16:08

thanks so much for the links - yeah, it sounds different from the other two. It doesnt even sound like a music box!! It's as if they just used a random tune then decided to change it to a recognisable tune, as it would become significant!

Hmmmm, very strange.

youarekiddingme · 25/01/2015 16:34

Or the box used in the murder is an identical except one that plays oh what a beautiful morning and the one out under the tree. But isn't actually 'Lucys' box iyswim?

DieselSpillages · 25/01/2015 19:37

The clue sounds different from the music box... Whatever happened to FatBoys ice cream van ?

AGnu · 25/01/2015 19:50

Was it a long time ago that Fatboy had an ice cream van? I vaguely recall ZsaZsa (sp?!) & her boyfriend going travelling - could've been in the ice cream van. Here's hoping it's nothing to do with that & we don't have yet another Carter about to roll up! Wink

Fakebook · 25/01/2015 20:31

Didn't that icecream van belong to the uncle of that funny family with the dad who couldn't work due to a bad back (!). I remember Pat and Peggy getting drunk in it in a hospital car park for some reason... ConfusedGrin.

Harverina · 25/01/2015 21:33

Wow I have missed so much. Completely missed the clue at the Nta's!

I have a feeling Whitney is involved too. She has been too quiet recently - did she move to Milton Keynes? Why would someone her age move away from their job and boyfriend? To get away from the prying eyes of the police maybe?

I don't think Cindy was involved. Or Peter. He was sitting in the pub waiting for her to come the night she was murdered. Of course that could have been an act to cover up but his reaction to finding out she was dead was so sad, surely it wasn't him? Though I don't remember Ian even saying she was dead to him.

Surely they wouldn't have told us he was leaving if he was the murderer. It would be a bit pathetic I think.

I have to say though I can't bloomin' wait for the live episode and there is to be a flashback episode too where we see what really happened that night. Brilliant!

Harverina · 25/01/2015 21:36

Agree that the Stan assisted suicide should have been left alone until after the live episode.

LemonBreeland · 25/01/2015 21:43

I am not a great detective at all. I am just happy that this is nearly over. It has been going on way too long.

RedCrayons · 25/01/2015 21:47

Good point HaverinA about Peter leaving. When Bradley died they didn't announce he was going till after the episode. And same with Ronnies daughter who died.

I'm swinging between Jane in a Cindy/Bobby cover up plot Or Whitney. No reason for Whitney other than she hasn't been in it much, so perhaps they are keeping her under wraps so it will be a bit more of a shock.
