Someone else is discussing emu feathers, shag rugs, zombies and stag cushions???!!! In relation to CJ, I mean, it goes without saying, obviously, that that discussion goes on elsewhere, unrelated to CJ! Wink

Ilovelblue · 17/01/2015 22:36

Nickel - I recorded it from last night - is this the second series?

Nickel45 · 17/01/2015 22:41

Yes, ilove, you can watch the first series on youtube as well, but I don't think you need to, to get into the second series. The Christmas special, which I think is the last episode of series 1 is on iplayer at the moment. Ooh, yesterday's episode might be on there .... Didn't think of that ... Gotta check!

Ilovelblue · 17/01/2015 22:44

I wlll take a look tomorrow morning then Nickel, thanks for the tip. It might be my Sunday morning treat. I still haven't read this morning's paper. Keep thinking of cancelling it - MN and the ff are far more interesting!

LovingTheBritActors · 17/01/2015 22:51

Watching Bridget Jones. Mark Darcy Christmas Stag jumper. Posh voice and remember Colin Firth in Pride and Prejudice. Yum. But not patch on CJ. Love posh guys though. Loads ff updates to read - fab. Books from Christmas will have to wait. Stag references everywhere!

Richtea19 · 17/01/2015 23:30

Have I missed out on new FF, with feathers and stag cushions? I have just watched Bridget Jones, as DH watching football. I can never tire of that film. I love her hitting the vodka dancing around the flat!

Nickel45 · 17/01/2015 23:45

Lots of ff to catch up on richtea :)

Richtea19 · 17/01/2015 23:55

Just caught up on Memories and Dream and Five years on. How lucky are we!! So brilliant that all these amazing writers are keeping OG alive. Can't believe stag cushions feature! Feeling rather overwhelmed :)

Must, must watch Bluestone. I need to be snowed in!

cjwoofwoof · 18/01/2015 00:20

Some excellent ff updates to catch up on tonight. Such a dilemma to sit and read it all or try and get more than 4 hours sleep tonight. Totally fragged so hitting my pit before I start another story and lose another half hour. Looking forward to icemists daily CJ archive pics tomorrow morning coz my faltering lust sensibilities won't stand another leotard-clad Freddie Mercury clone pic eek!!

icemistOBE · 18/01/2015 06:07

Morning.
Interesting photos last night. Just shows as an actor you never know what you might end up wearing/doing etc

Hope these help cjwoof

Nice headset photo icemist.

orphan · 18/01/2015 09:10

Morning. Thanks icemist for restoring normal service with those pics!

You're so lucky and very sophisticated richtea, going to the Savoy! Is it to celebrate something special? Three months of OG threads perhaps?!Grin
As for sophistication myself, it's definitely only imagined (but I think I've got the silliness nailed.) Although I love cocktails, dining out etc, I'm a diehard jeans and converse wearer (matches my teen mentality), can't walk in heels, and minimal makeup (never quite mastered the skill). My daughter is already far more sophisticated than I am!

cjwoofwoof · 18/01/2015 09:23

What a relief icemist thanks for those pics, normality has resumed. Apparently, according to DH, I was thrashing around in my sleep last night and he wanted to know who I was thinking about - Oo-er, and I don't even remember, worst luck Shock

cherin · 18/01/2015 09:27

Hope it wasn't mr Pontipine!! That was enough to give anyone nightmares (now that I think about it, my dreams were also haunted by the sight of a weird dwarf-like creature who had just given birth to a tiny child....gosh this is getting worrying!)

Off to a very muddy football session with ds1. Keep the headset coming, please!

Paintedcherryblossoms · 18/01/2015 09:30

Morning all going to try and post another chapter today in the meantime......

Lovely pics to start another coursework marking day.
orphan snap, you described me perfectly!

firegirl · 18/01/2015 10:07

Morning. Like that picture painted. From what I can see it confirms there are no skinny legs under those combats. Look forward to the next chapter.

Ilovelblue · 18/01/2015 10:27

Great pictures - better than some of those awful ones which appeared so recently!

Thick fog and frosty here today though the fog is starting to lift. Need to go for a walk this morning I think as it's far too frosty for my bike (am a fairweather cyclist I fear).

Afternoon tea locally with a friend - not as sophisticated as Richtea's version (though probably cheaper). My friend is coming here first so I need to do a quick clean up, or at least in the parts of the house she is most likely to see. The other alternative is to confess I am spending so much time on here, reading the ff and watching and re-watching and re-watching CJ's best bits of the DVD. No, that isn't an option really.

Looking forward to paintedcherry's latest upload.

Have a good day everyone.

Onlygirljen · 18/01/2015 10:30

Morning. Still plenty of snow on the ground here. DS football cancelled, but taking him to basketball later in the day.

Jeans and converse all the way here as well - only time I make an exception is work, where dresses and heels are needed when in the office.

Having a day off reading and writing ff today. Feel like it's taking over a little bit, after doing loads of both yesterday. Need to clear my head a little bit.

Have a lovely day everybody!

Nickel45 · 18/01/2015 10:57

Morning all.
Too true, icemist, being an actor BA doesn't really have much say over what he wears in whatever he is in (thank goodness TG put him in camo combats!!).

I've been trying to think if I can lay claim to any sort of sophistication, but I don't think I can!! I seem to live in jeans or combats and boots, other than in the office, but can't remember the last time I wore a skirt, don't have any make up, and heels aren't very high!! Still, on the plus side I don't have any white stilettos!! So good think I'll have to stick to the silliness!!

Richtea19 · 18/01/2015 11:16

Morning all. All veg etc prepped for my 13 for lunch today, but more importantly plenty of prosecco and wine on chill, as I will need it....

icemist thank you for headset photos this morning, I can't be thinking of CJ as Freddy Mercury.

I am jeans and converse, large baggy jumpers (I love the winter) crap walking in heels, I walk like Dick Emery! However the Savoy thing is a black tie function so all the stops get pulled out! My one and only night I look transformed, DH looks gorg in DJ. I might pretend CJ is on my arm ;) however I might need to be nil by mouth this week as the dress is a bit tight!!

elsie3g · 18/01/2015 12:32

Afternoon all, blown away a few cobwebs with a rainy bike ride this morning, suffice to say it wasn't raining when I set off otherwise I wouldn't have bothered! Like ilove I'm more of a fair weather cyclist.

It appears we have a uniform emerging. I, like Nickel can't remember the last time I wore a skirt and spend most days in jeans, tshirt and trainers or boots. I'm sad to say that I looked down at myself the other day to find that rather than a flattering Reiss print dress, my entire outfit of jeans, jumper, coat and scarf was from Gap.

I think I need Gok on the case, but he can leave the feather duster at home (that's not a euphemism for BA, if it was he's definitely welcome along!)

Rhubarb01 · 18/01/2015 13:16

Afternoon

I have to admit to also being a proud wearer of the MN uniform. I have a distant memory of wearing a dress two or three years ago to a special occasion as everyone commented on it but apart from that trousers or jeans have to suffice for practically every occasion. Why on earth were dresses invented anyway - they are so impractical unless i'ts hot!

It's sad to say that because I don't even work anywhere that requires smart work wear I simply don't go into many shops with nice clothes in the window as I can't imagine having any reason to wear them and it seems a waste of money. When I think of Gok trying to turn all those ladies into yummy mummies at the school gate I have to laugh. I just can't imagine having the time or inclination to get ready to look gorgeous in the morning - it would be a tall order and require something like the team used to transform Gracie Hart in Miss Congeniality (clothes, hair, make-up etc). Considering it is usually freezing cold, peeing down with rain and I have worked myself up into a lather trying to get my disorganised and uncooperative kids and dog out of the house on time to get to school - plus I will have had to pick up the doggy doo's on the way! - I can't imagine that anything other than a pair of jeans, boots, good thermal layer (previously mentioned) and a good quality breathable, fleece-lined, waterproof would be suitable.

orphan · 18/01/2015 13:50

Had coffee with friend in town this morning in my undercover guise as Normal Middle aged Woman. Wasn't rumbled - think I'm getting good at this double life!

I'm glad noone's admitted to being truly sophisticated - the sort of soigné woman who glides through the streets of Paris in chic heels, with proper handbag, and good hair! Smile

icemistOBE · 18/01/2015 13:58

Jeans and trainers here. Have to wear smart clothes for work but nothing ott. Have a few dresses for when we go out as it's nice to dress up but that doesn't happen often.

Just been catching up on ff and loved Consequences
m.fanfiction.net/s/10977838/1/Consequences
Need to read more now. Love how the ff is growing still.
