Bravo ilove! Hope you called him a cockwomble ( under your breath at least). Now, I need more info on the 6'5 colleague...(age, eye colour, inside leg measurement etc).

orphan · 20/01/2015 16:39

cjwoof have you given thought to the zip for the CJ suit? I assume it'll be a covered concealed one. But of a passion killer otherwise. And where will the valve be for the bulge foot pump?

Ilovelblue · 20/01/2015 17:04

orphan and cjwoof we've called him far worse than a cockwomble, that's for sure before now. And if I'm honest, not many folk scare me but with him being quite senior, I did wonder if it was career suicide but then thought "stuff it, he needs teaching a lesson!" Apparently, he was quite subdued after we left.

orphan my delectable colleague is 39, gorgeous looking with dark hair, brown eyes and the nicest person you could wish to meet. His most endearing quality is that he doesn't know how handsome he really is. He's also wonderful on DIY stuff and has offered to help me out a few times. Also superb at IT! He has women, young and older alike falling at his feet. When I make cakes to take into the office, he gets priority!

Ilovelblue · 20/01/2015 17:21

To be honest, now I've re-read my description, even though he doesn't look in the slightest bit like CJ, he could be a very good stand-in. After all, we did see CJ in the checked shirt and gloves for DIY, has women of all ages falling at his feet etc etc. I would be very happy to let CJ have first dibs on my cakes!

Richtea19 · 20/01/2015 17:25

ilove can you bring your colleague to our AGM please!!! Sounds like he will fit right in with us :) and well done for being assertive.

A concealed zip would be better than one of those chunky brassy ones. Also need to make sure that nothing gets caught!

There's a new drama coming to chanel 4 called Indian Summers looks good.

I've been to the dentist and unfortunately Rob the dentist is nothing like CJ, I've been seeing him since I was 16 when I had my braces fitted! Bit of a lop sided mouth going on at the moment :(

cjwoofwoof · 20/01/2015 18:30

Hmm been thinking about the zip and valve question orphan and Richtea and you're right, it could be a bit of a passion killer. What about a double use Velcro strap running from belly button to coccyx with a valve insert stitched in somewhere in the nether region, thus easing the quick pump up problem.

Ilove if I had a work colleague like that I would make a lot of cakes and need lots of diy assistance. Fortunately my colleagues look more like Sohail when he was under the sheet hence the great need for a CJ plastic surgery suit, with Velcro under seal and valve insert.

Richtea19 · 20/01/2015 18:45

I think the Velcro idea could work, it would make a nice clean finish. I was thinking of press popper studs but that would involve a lot of "man handling" possibly by doing so the built in inflation valve wouldn't be needed Wink

Ilovelblue · 20/01/2015 18:51

Have we come up with an agenda yet for our AGM? We have sorted the venue(s) and the attendees but not items up for discussion. I can book Bailbrook House for us next month! Oh I forgot, this is not RL.

Richtea oh yes, I would be happy to bring my colleague to our AGM. He would automatically be drawn to any of you who happen to be blonde and around 25-30 (they seem to be his weakness) but he is utterly charming and could definitely hold his own with the rest of us who do not fit that description. He helped me out not so long ago with a minor car issue (a gizmo on my new car I couldn't suss out) and didn't laugh in that patronising "women are hopeless with cars" manner you often get.

Having told you all about him getting first dibs on my cakes, I think I will make a cake tonight. Not taken one in to work since before Christmas.

If anyone wishes to incorporate him into their ff, I can supply further details as required. Hahahahaha.

cjwoofwoof · 20/01/2015 19:01

Popper studs could impinge on any foreign travel, say to Afghan on holiday, Richtea, as the airport security archway would beep and flash at passport control, possibly causing some awkward questions once the short, bald, chubby 50 year old man is "revealed" from the suit, thus causing a sigh of disappointment from all the female security staff who, thinking they were about to strip search an Adonis and purposefully accidentally forgetting their rubber gloves, quickly need to deflate the valve instead Confused

Richtea19 · 20/01/2015 19:20

Oh yes , metal press studs could be an airport nightmare! Think Velcro is the way to go! It does pick up a lot of fluff though!

ILove, unfortunately I'm no longer blonde and the wrong side of 30 for your office man, but always up for a laugh :)

orphan · 20/01/2015 19:21

I think the concealed zip problem could be tackled on the next series of Great British Sewing Challenge. And on that thought, Patrick Grant is a possible stand in for the wrestling if someone has to pull out.

cherin what a job that would be having to strip search the real CJ.Blush

Off out with dp ( how soon can these suits be made? )

cjwoofwoof · 20/01/2015 19:24

orphan the prototype suit has already been made and worn by my DH every day since Oct 2014 (in my head) Grin

orphan · 20/01/2015 19:26

ilove I might have to go blonde and only be seen in dim lighting for the duration of the AGM.

Ilovelblue · 20/01/2015 19:32

Honestly orphan, if I was 10 years younger, none of you would get a look in. However, he has known me for about 15 years so I can't lie and the hair is completely the wrong colour.

Have we decided on the agenda for our AGM yet?

pixieg1rl · 20/01/2015 19:57

How about

18:00 icebreaker - cocktail mixing
19:00 QS workshop led by jen
20:00 dinner

Next day

09:00 cjwoof to instruct the group on ledge balancing and gorilla grip techniques
10:00 measuring masterclass from orphan and richtea with models provided by mooj DH's low slung trousered colleagues
11:00 Stag sketching workshop led by cherin
12:00 lunch (liquid)
13:00 IT & remote surveillance techniques by icemist
14:00 field trip to Brize Nor-Hun for observation of low slung trousers in their natural habitat.

Ilovelblue · 20/01/2015 20:04

Excellent pixie and well structured! Could I also suggest that on the first night we have a guest speaker - think that's fairly usual? CJ/BA for preference (naturally) but I think Tony Grounds or Lacey Turner would also be good?

Also, can I offer up my gorgeous 6'5" colleague as one of the models for the measuring masterclass?

pixieg1rl · 20/01/2015 20:07

I'm sure we could fit in some breakout sessions around CV enhancement (elsie), glove and shirt ensembles (SPO), stag appliqué (richtea) and lets not forget the spin off product shopping like badger fur and emu cleaning products, combats on/off ironing board covers, CDs of motivational shouting by CJ, etc...

Ilovelblue · 20/01/2015 20:09

Oh yes pixie - we need some breakout sessions! You can tell I've organised loads of conferences etc over the years............. :(

icemistOBE · 20/01/2015 20:10

Ooh I love the agenda!

May I also suggest we have music provided by a band that can cover all our fave songs from the show on the 2nd night. And we could have a q'n'a session with TG too.

OP posts:
cherin · 20/01/2015 20:59

But no karaoke, please! Music- yes. Me singing- better not :-)
Unless its after loads and loads of alcohol (aka one glass of Chianti and I am done for)

Congratulations for standing up to the Loudspeaker! I always struggle in these situations and end up in feeling the Bitchy Witch, but you're right. Sometimes it must be done
(Mind you, years ago back home I had to do much worst. So bad that the company owner got so agitated because of my bollocking that in trying to close a sliding glass door he broke it...the glass exploded with a loud bang, people run to see from the nearby offices and found me fuming from the ears, the owner stammering and all red and sweaty...very embarrassing!)
Diversion, again. I'll never learn.

Can I apply for a handsome, tall colleague? I could really do with one...I could swap him with a gorgeous, tall, blonde and busty lady boss? (May be we could set them up?)

WHAJEB1 · 20/01/2015 21:02

Can we have our girl themed cocktails? Such as:

Rusty bullet hole
Sad Welsh tosser (lots of mixing)
Cockwomble???

cherin · 20/01/2015 21:03

Ps, if we do q&a with TG, can we ask him about the cast on the wrong leg?
Btw, do we want the body suit to come with a reversible cast (left/right leg depending on the whim of the day) and also an inflatable muscular calf?

cjwoofwoof · 20/01/2015 21:04

Can we also include one of those outdoor team bonding sessions, say the MN ladies v moojs DH colleagues up on Dartmoor with just some fur cloaks, a case of Prosecco and assorted wigwams overnight? Obviously I'd get my sleeping quarters muddled up and accidentally end up in the stags wigwam, oops

Onlygirljen · 20/01/2015 21:06

Evening ladies! That's me just sitting down after a horrendously long day at work. Off for the next two days, so have poured a well deserved g&t! Still aching from fall yesterday, hobbling around like a 95 year old.

Love the agenda, good work pixie.
I am happy to lead the qs session, although I should probably get some practice with writing some soon Grin.

ilove, your colleague sounds delightful - I'm just by the skin of my teeth in the right age bracket, but firmly in the brunette camp.

Had a bad moment on the train home tonight - man in front of me had the exact same hairdo as CJ, very reminiscent of the slightly out of control waves in ep 4 when Molly is hiding in the cupboard. I honestly had to restrain myself from leaning forward to study the curls in great detail and perhaps run my fingers through them. What a lunatic!

Ilovelblue · 20/01/2015 21:07

cherin - you want my tall and handsome gorgeous colleague? I really don't think so! He's decent eye candy (amongst any number of average-boring men) and is very useful for carrying things upstairs at work for me and shutting the window when it blows open and I can't reach! He would be quite flattered by all this attention I think! Not sure what he would think of modelling combats etc for us to practice our measuring on him though. I reckon he'd give it a go.

pixie the way this agenda is growing, I think we might need a 2 night stay at Bailbrook House??
